      Sounds like a great idea! We do have one that's about easy cardigans (I can't remember if any of them are free, though) - ruclips.net/video/e-EkhgaGt6s/видео.html

    My first sweater was a Danish colour work sweater. It was bottom up. My Mormor taught me how to knit. I was sixteen. (Many years ago!)

    I made the Purl Soho sweatshirt, but I added a hood. I also added tablet woven trim that I made, to the pouch and around the hood. I am now making one for my brother! Such an easy pattern!

    Thanks for the informative video. I tried Flax first but mine was too big and had to be undone. Winter league pullover was the first finished. Now I have more to try! Sewrella and Handy Little Me have some that are also on my list.

    The On The Beach Sweater by Isabel Kraemer is good 1st Sweater as well. I've made 3, it's so fun! Isabel will answer any questions you have on Ralvary! Or, your questions may be answered already on the existing question and answer section. Fyi...😊

    I do know Step By Step - Handmade by Florence has great instructions , meant to be over sized , and she has quite the comprehensive walk through video tutorial on RUclips, (found that before the pattern) . Pattern has an option for rolled/ double ribbed neckline (optional )

      Can definitely recommend this sweater. I’ve made two using Drops Nepal which is very affordable yarn. I was new to German Short Rows but managed it well with the help of her RUclips tutorial.

    I'm making a gansey and I soooo wish you would do a video on one. There are no useful videos that I've found on under arm gussets, construction. The ones available are poorly lit. I have several books but even they are not friendly in areas one isn't an expert in. Love your videos. After this gansey is finished, I'm back to top downraglan! Only!😂

      That sounds like a great topic for the future. There are a lot of other things planned right now but I'll try to keep this one in mind for later on.

    Nice patterns, but with top-down raglans the shoulders are always too snug on me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, they fit fine otherwise. I think I just have broad shoulders and set-in sleeves fit better on me?

    • @NerdyKnitting
      @NerdyKnitting  9 месяцев назад +1

      It sounds like your shoulders might be broader than the average. In that case, you could try using your upper chest measurement (measuring around your body just beneath the underarm) - that is more closely related to your shoulder width than a bust measurement (which can change depending on how much breast tissue you have so it isn't always an accurate way to measure for fit - especially for broad shoulders or for women with larger busts).

    The two Espace Tricot patterns mentioned, Cerignola and Night Blooms, are unfortunately NOT free (or no longer free). I would recommend the Sunbleached Sweater by Ashleigh Kiser which is an all-over garter stitch sweater in a cotton yarn. It was easy to knit and is nice to wear.

    Raglan work is something that a lot of my sweater patterns have, but I do not know how to do raglan stitching. This is a video of free sweater patterns, but to learn how to do it, have to pay you for your video. M'okay. No.

    • @crystald3655

      This video shows free patterns that you can go get. Some of them may have videos based on them that aren't behind a paywall.

      You don't know how to do raglan but you have the Internet?

    • @ptoste1
      @ptoste1 9 месяцев назад +1

      There are so many tutorials teaching how to do it. I didn’t know how to knit a raglan sweater and I learnt from a tutorial. I’m knitting right now. I don’t know how it will turn out 😅😊😂🤣Find one that you can follow, it’s not that difficult. Try it. Sorry if I don’t recommend the tutorial because mine is in Portuguese.
