This is the best interview I’ve seen so far from the press junket :) I looove the interviewer’s question about Alcott; I remembering growing up reading and rereading Little Women and one day wondering about the author, only to find that she (like Jane Austen) never married; it resonated so much with me! And what Greta says here about life sometimes being more radical than art: 😍 This is why we needed Greta Gerwig to make her interpretation/adaptation of the novel!
“The gays will kill me” lmao
Loved the questions! And the answers :)
"Oh" ♡
Great video But the music is too loud, it’s distracting
maybe there is Even better things than just making movies ´, maybe mit becomes life and all nations will have their own movies
It is special so don’t touch it!
Didn't he contradict himself? First he says he would love to do it and then he says that other thing. It's interesting that he states there are some people 'wavering in their desire to do it'. Who is he referring to? Armie?
@@Lolalai Armie is definitely other people. He expressed fear the sequel would be nothing but letdown in a recent interview. From interviews, he seems to struggle with envisioning positive outcomes, likely due to his repeated experiences with making films that failed for one reason or another.
As for Timothée's seemingly contradictory answer, he and Armie have always said they would only do a sequel if they were both involved. So I think he says first that he would love to do it, but that the possibility is challenged by Arnie's hesitance. He repeats again that he would love to another chapter with these characters, and expresses that the book is set far in the future, so another chapter doesn't have to be made immediately. There is time to approach the project carefully and make sure it's good enough that everyone feels comfortable doing it.
I personally would love to see an arch like the before trilogy, and revisit the two in a far future where falling in love is not the issue, but rather facing the reality and challenges of living an ordinary life and maintaining a relationship beyond the passionate courtship stages.
Of course I could have misunderstood entirely - if someone understands his words differently, please comment as well. :) peace.
As for "it's really special don't touch it" - Luca has often stated that films are made when they are meant to be made. (What a romantic). I think he's saying he doesn't think the project should be forced into existence because of popular demand, but rather come to fruition organically as the first did.
@@Sentientmatter8 you broke it down perfectly! I would wait as long as they all thought was appropriate.. I get armies hesitance.. the sequel for cmbyn needs time to breathe and if done to prematurely can potentially hurt the first film if it flopped.. but if the whole original cast came together again with Luca directing when the time is right then I find it hard to believe the sequel wouldn’t do well.. Luca is a genius. I’d say another 5 years?
OMG GET RID OF THIS MUSIC OH MY FUCK ITS SO DISTRACTING
