    I used the GO! ++ last night for my first sleep session. You disconnect it ( as in it’s not auto-catching ) then you can put it into a sleep session. I placed it across the room on furniture and it still recorded a session. Don’t worry about having next to your head or family jewels.

    Thanks for the review. Both of my Pokeballs have died and I'm looking for a replacement. On the 'always vibrating" and being in meetings....once, I was in the bathroom of Target and my Pokeball started vibrating and going off in my purse. The sounds from the other people in the restroom stopped immediately and it got dead quiet. I panicked and said "It's not what you think! It's a toy in my purse!" Which of course caused hysterical laughter. I just washed my hands and exited as quickly as possible lol

    You can turn off the PokeStop spins. Go to Accessory Devices - scroll down to Notifications, and uncheck Identify Nearby Pokestops.
    I like the device but yes, it does vibrate way too much and the lights are very bright. Love the reconnect feature. Hope the connection/consistency bugs are fixed, they are messed up in older devices right now as well. If they added a feature to turn off vibration/flashing lights, that would be amazing(if possible).

    • @jcsjapan
      @jcsjapan Год назад +1

      I think auto-catch with Great and Ultra balls is a bad idea for most players, especially those in more remote areas that want to play for free and want to preserve those rarer balls. The fact that this actually can use Great and Ultra balls is great, especially for Community Days! I personally love catching shinies on Community Day and tend to ignore everything else, but if I set the Plus + to Great or Ultra balls, I can use it to catch Pokemon that I already checked while using red Pokeballs to catch my shinies (A preference for me).
      I know for some people, this can be a turnoff, but I think it is solid. And who knows? Maybe they will update it at some point to add auto-catch to the other balls.

    • @DarkForce07
      @DarkForce07 Год назад +2

      @jcsjapan i think an option to choose what ball auto-catches gives more options to players. For comm days, you can set pokeballs for autocatch or, in your case, great balls, but on spotlight hour for something with a higher flee rate, maybe you want great or ultra balls.
      If i use my gotcha, it's usually because im playing passively, so I turn it on and then put both my phone and the gotcha in my pocket and just let it catch. I don't think these seem applicable here. Id have to click everything if i wanted great balls. But people play differently.
      Yeah, hopefully there's an update in the future or a Go+++ with more features, which helps a wider range of the player base.

    • @dsreview129
      @dsreview129 Год назад +2

    • @jcsjapan

      @@DarkForce07 I understand where you're coming from, but considering that most players are outside the city and with limited stops and gyms to obtain items, auto-catching with Great and Ultra balls could easily drain months and months of ball saving. Pokeballs, on the other hand, are replenished quite easily in comparison, making them much better candidates for auto-catching.
      All I was saying is that the set-up here and the prioritization helps rural players more, which I can get behind. Don't get me wrong, as someone who lives in the city, I would love an auto-catching Great/Ultra ball option, but I do understand why this decision was made.

For instance, I need to know where the buttons are not just “this button here, and then hold this other button“ I’ve been trying to get your attention for a while to see if you can make your videos more inclusive for people with disabilities.. I hope this comment reaches you as I feel. with your number of followers, you could maybe make an impact on the accessibility of the game for players with disabilities. Everyone in Pokémon Go has somewhat tainted, the word accessible, with the meaning of how easy it is to get a Pokémon. But the true meaning of accessibility options is for those who have disabilities to be on the same equal footing as those who are fully able-bodied, and it would be a great thing if one of the constant creators tackle this.

    @andrewstudnicky2386 Год назад

    It's very easy to open and disable the vibration - easier by far than the OG Nintendo Go Plus. Definitely astounding that it's not an in-game toggle.
    (1) Unscrew the two miniature Phillips Head beside the USB connector with a glasses repair screwdriver.
    (2) Insert a small flathead screwdriver between the white of the top frame and the blue bottom shell just above the USB port. Once you get it in, slide around the border. There are two hooks and a sticky pad holding the top onto the battery.
    (3) Gently pry open the clamshell - there will be some resistance from the sticky pad, but there is a ribbon cable connecting the top circuit to the bottom that you do not want to pull out. Be slow and careful for this step to not disconnect it as you open the device. It can be re-inserted, it's just very delicate and difficult to do so.
    (4) The counter weight on the vibrator is now exposed in the bottom shell. It will look like a quarter cylinder weight on a thin shaft. Insert the flathead screwdriver at the gap between the vibrate motor and the counter weight, then gently slide the counter weight off of the shaft. It is not glued or soldered in place and should slide right off.
    The device is now silent and will not vibrate. Just pop the top back on and screw the two miniature Phillips head screws back in.
    You can also use the same glasses repair screwdriver to separate the top circuit board from the top case - again, be careful of the ribbon cable. A dot of white paint pen on the top of each LED will diffuse the light, leaving it visible but making it significantly less bright and annoying.
    I would recommend this to anyone who is wary of using unlicensed products.
    WARNING: These are one-way mods, and this is a pricy piece of hardware to experiment on if you are not experienced. Be mindful of this and make good decisions.

    I got my Go Plus + yesterday and I'll definitely say there are bugs that need to be fixed. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but it seems to auto turn off after an hour or so. So I'd have to reconnect it again. I also have a problem with the device not auto catching when the toggle in settings is turned on. It still tells me to manually catch and spin stops and so I have to close the app and reconnect it again and sometimes that doesn't work!

    I’m disappointed in the fact that you can’t auto-catch with great/ultra balls. I’ll never use the “push to catch” feature; it defeats the purpose of having an auto-catcher lol. Plus, with how long it takes to identify and catch, I’m better off fast catching with my great/ultra balls.
    I personally feel like my wife and I wasted money on these. We got them based on the advertising we could choose the Pokéballs used for the auto-catch feature and that’s not what it turned out to be.
    I’ll probably give mine to one of my sons and go back to the auto-catcher I’ve been using unless they decide to update it so we can use the great/ultra balls for auto-catching.

    I like how slim the go plus + is, but the amount of vibrating it does is annoying. And as you said, likely drains the battery more than need be. I am likely going to be sticking with my 3rd party autocatcher, I have the one that looks like an incubating egg. At least until they provide some sort of update that will allow for the vibrating to be turned off
    I have also noticed that when auto-catching, the Plus+ will only catch pokemon within the first circle. The other auto-catchers always caught anything that popped up on the map.

      Personally I’ve owned every single auto catching device on the market in some variation. Between the go plus, pokeball plus, and go plus plus it is an improvement. There are way better alternatives in the market outside of Nintendo brands. I personally own a dual catchmon and it is way faster at spinning and catching stops, uses AAA batteries, can sync 2 devices at once and is slightly smaller in diameter than the go plus plus. They are expensive but very worth the price. I live in a heavily populated metropolitan area and I can drive through downtown hitting stops going 30-40 and never have to touch the phone or device. I would only have invested in a go plus plus if it had auto catching with ultra balls because the increased catch rate would in my mind be a fair trade off for its reduced function speed.

Because that seems to be faster than the gotcha. It depends on what your doing I guess. If you turn the device upside down the lights are not visible. The vibration is not really noticeable to the person next to you unless you have it on a surface, or are in a very quiet room, it’s just very noticeable to the person holding it/carrying it. Although not perfect, I feel like there is a place for it, and I’ve decided to keep it, and maybe see what happens when the third parties come out with one.
