There were 8 people in the cinema when I watched this. 4 of them (all females) walked out after 20 minutes. The two seated behind me, at the end of the film, laughed derisively and said, "What the ____ was that?!" For my opinion, there was a stunningly beautiful shot where the girl and her father are backlit by a lantern on a field at night, and the captured mother's attempt to scream was haunting and disturbing, but I found the rest of it lacking in character, motivation and atmosphere.
I found this to be a far more moving film than Girl Walks Home Alone, but apples and oranges, totally. It's incredibly disturbing but i think it should be noted how impressively reserved it is with it's violence at times.
I think this undersold the movie. The review is lacking the message and disturbing emotions this film is. It is an incredibly sad movie of a child in desperate need of love and attention which she was robbed of, which shapes her future

I loved this movie. One of my favourite horror movies from 2016.
Be quiet.

Right. I love A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Eraserhead is my favourite movie. This seems great. I'm sold.
No ones favorite film is eraserhead except for edgy film students
The third act was the best part. Fantastic movie. A near masterpiece.
I learned more about the film in this 2 minutes than from the entire discussion on Saturday Review.Thanks.
I loved "Eyes" and I actually preferred it to "Girl Walks Home Alone", which I also really liked.
