Wonderful film that treats love and intimacy in the digital age without suspicion or judgment, its protagonists with agency and, most importantly, its audience as adults

This was my birth place so definately want to watch this. I've lived in Hertfordshire since I was 10 but every time I go back to France, and particularly Paris, I feel home.
It's weird cos I do love coming home to England too but I feel this deep sadness whenever I have to leave france.

Whenever a film is done in black and white, it reminds me of the Benny Hill skit, when he is playing a Euro avant garde director, and Henry mcGee says "half way through, your switch from colour to black and white is astounding" and benny Hill says "no, no, we ran out of colour film"

Lol I can't believe I came across this comment. It's one of my favorite sketches of all time!😂😂😂

Great film, wonderful actors, cinematography and score. This film is far more than just good. Far better than Licorice Pizza (which I liked), as 13th district feels less fake, more genuine and more daring

I hadn't heard that Celine Sciamma was involved in this; that makes me more inclined to see it.

And Mark likes a French film about beautiful French people noodlepoodling about love and relationships! That's a turn up for the books.

That being said, I'm pretty sure he loathes Goddard (he is too gentlemanly to admit it directly) and is quite contemptuous of a lot of the New Wave

@@man-wj4ik he got up during Film Socialisme at (I think) Cannes and shouted "IL EST MERDE! IL EST LA MERDE PLUS GRAND EN LE MONDE!" and walked out

This movie is so bad that, 15 minutes into it, I took out my recorder and started practicing scales while watching it.
