- Hi everyone!
Today's video is so exciting!
I got my second car which is one of my dreams cars and I can't wait to take you guys on the journey of making it perfect :)
Don't worry, I will still be working on the Triumph lots over the winter to get it ready for the spring!

Hi Saige, when you get all the body work done and she's road worthy , if you plan on keeping it have it oil sprayed to prevent any more rust to appear .😶
Congrats on the new beetle. To find out what is causing the power draw. Flip the switch the previous owner had installed so everything has power. Then look up how to do a parasitic draw test on youtube. Any cheap multimeter will work. Plus they're an extremely handy tool to have on hand if you don't have one already. However you'll learn which circuit in the car is causing it to continiously draw power and give you an idea where to start diagnoising that. Also the plastic headlight covers are fairly easy to repair with just some sandpapper and some clear coat spray to seal them back up (make sure it's UV reistant clear coat). They'll look brand new again! Plenty of videos youtube as well to restore the headlamps.
To clean up the headlights just use a scotchpad and soapy water to get the surface layer off and it will come up like new. You also really need to get those rust problems sorted ASP or your going to have lots of problems next year in that department as well. I had a word with the Triumph 1500 owners club on Saturday when i went to the Classic Car Show in Birmingham regarding your engine and they said that they would try and contact you.
Try sourcing body panels from American salvage yards in the southwest. Almost guaranteed to be corrosion free. And congratulations!
Drove an entire day (probably twice) to acquire a vehicle as mundane as a new beetle? Subscribed. Keep it coming.
congrats on the new ride.
Interesting colour… I bought a 2001 Fiat Brava in the same shade but they call it Lichen Green.
Unfortunately it needs the cylinder head doing (due to lack of coolant maintenance) but otherwise it’s a great little car…
As for the rust on Pascal… you should check out the Beetle series on the Furious Driving channel… useful for you but do expect to need proper bodywork repairs especially round the sills…
But you could just treat and rattlecan paint the existing rusty bits for the short term since you are learning to drive as you say and treat Pascal once you’ve made good on your Spitfire promises !
Congratulations, lets hope the little problems are not bigger problems when you go for certification. I would work on it to ensure everything works and improve your chances to get it certified before you spend time on beautifing it. Then once it's certified you can drive it and get all the beautification done to make Pascal the beauty you want him to be.
Nice little car, congratulations. I almost bought one almost a decade ago. I see one problem though… only two pedals? 😂
Have fun with Pascal 😀. Electrics can be a pain! Hope you can get them easily sorted. Cheers, Steve
Congrats on the beetle. I also had beetle in green with the cream interior but mine was a manual transmission. I liked the car but it left me stranded a lot 😂 hopefully you have better luck with your car.
5 cilinders, yummie. But cars in Canada rust even harder than in Holland 😂
Oh nice, I had one of these. A 2002 manual diesel in black I called Boop!
nice rig fam
It’s an automatic? 😢
Looks nice. But never seen an auto beetle here in Europe
