I like the Din Tai Fung restaurant NYC inside looks super cool, I’m impressed! It seems to me that you had a good time there eating all the delicious food, I got hungry just watching you eat! And it was nice to see AK with you. I’m looking forward to more Sifat and AK collaborations.😁
Thank you both so much for showing us the new restaurant! It is so beautiful. Sifat, I can't believe you are finally eating while we watch LOL. I would love to go there one day. I am not familiar with the foods, but I would find something to love there, I am sure. That shrimp dish looks amazing, I would love that. The restaurant surely knew who to invite for a positive review for them. I want some of their food right now so much. Thanks again
I love your live walking videos, but I must say....I really enjoyed watching you try new food and giving us your honest opinion. Can't wait to try it out the next time I'm in NYC 😊
I lived and worked in Taiwan, Singapore, China, and Japan for many years. Xiao Long Bao is a local Shanghainese dish, so when I worked in Shanghai, I tried many local versions. However, their ability to make the skin thinner and more consistent in taste does not compare to the Xiao Long Bao from Din Tai Fung's Shanghai store, a Taiwanese brand. The Din Tai Fung store in Cali is even better than many Chinese-owned restaurants in Chinatown that serve Xiao Long Bao. Interestingly, many of the staff who make Xiao Long Bao in the U.S. stores are Black or Mexican. This proves that a well-trained system and good kitchen management can enable anyone, regardless of race, to create a perfect dish. In this regard, Chinese chefs should feel ashamed that cutting corners won't work well in the West.
Wow, that food looked so very delicious! Thank you for sharing this video with us. I'm going to send the link to my daughter because she travels to NYC for work several times a month. I may just have to join her sometime in the Fall when it's not so hot!
I loved this visit to Din Tai Fung! Beautiful, modern, fresh and the food was delicious per your review. Loved AK joined you or vice versa, collab more - good vibes
I checked the menu for the LA location and the prices are fair. I'll have to try it then go to the Times Square location when we visit in Dec for Christmas.
Foods looks delicious. You should include the price just so we would love to know how much does it cost. Times square is definitely for tourists people to eat. Might be very expensive . Thank you for sharing. 😘😘🥰🥰.
Prices likely higher due to rent in Times Square. At 25,000 sq ft, they are likely paying premium rates, which ran $400/sq ft in 2019 in that neighborhood. (Unless they bought the building.) Regardless, this is their largest location to date. With capacity for 450 diners, it seems it's picking up where Ruby Foo's left off in 2015 (It had capacity for 300 - opened in 2000, but abruptly closed 9-years ago. Their actual space was taken over by a new branch of Junior's.).
This restaurant is world largest Din Tai Fung with seating capacity of 400 people. When I filmed this video it was a soft opening and the restaurant was its peak capacity, so you can’t expect this place quite.
@@veritadea Food critics wouldn't say something is "perfectly cooked" just based on visual inspection. Need to taste it & see if it's truly tender or chewy & over-cooked. Similarly, they wouldn't claim something is delicious before tasting it. I'll let saying "feel" in place of "taste" slide, as English is likely not his native language. Also some critics may comment about texture & mouthfeel, though I do believe flavor/taste was what was intended. Also should note that the Hong Kong branch at Tsim Sha Tsui, Silvercord Branch has received 1 Michelin star 5-times, though currently just Bib Gourmand. The Taipei location on Xinyi Rd has also received Bib Gourmand status. Still I appreciate the review - video certainly captured the setting & ambience, which are markedly different from Din Tai Fung in the Gateway Food Court in Sydney, Australia (there are several locations in that city - this one closed at some point) & in Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California, USA.
The much anticipated Din Tai Fung! It was so nice to have dinner with you, and I'm excited to come back again.
Hi Sifat, that's great that you and AK got a special invite. You both add such a positive vibe to your walking tours of NYC for all. 👍👍
Yesss! Love the new food videos
Me too!😁

I can't believe that Din Tai Fung is now @ Times Square! You just blew my mind!
師傅擀面皮的速度只有台灣師傅的一半還不到呢!
Beautiful restaurant
Love this video. Thank you!
Looks good Sifat. 😊
You should try this often, introducing food place to your stream, very good! I enjoyed that.🥰👍👍

If they allow reservations, make one! If not, be prepared for a queue.
I wanna be there Sifat!✈️❤ looks incredible ‼️
Whats the prices? Drooling here now omg
You should be food critic. You made me hungry 😂
4:44 That's Andrew Fung from the Fung Bros sitting on the far right lol
❤❤❤
I hope you had a great first impression of Din Tai Fung!
My aunt would say, "Move over! You roll the dumpling skin way too slow."
Good morning
Good morning to you!😁

That's a bit gauche. Perhaps he could include the link in the description, as he has links to many other things in there?
I like that they let the influencers eat first to share with the world that’s marketing
😍
are walk-ins allowed right now?
They don’t take walk in now! But maybe in the future they will, call them before you walk in!
The quality is so so and no tasty delicious . Actually so expensive rather than traditional dim sum restaurants

That place is for tourists. Real New Yorkers know that chinatown is the place to go and is much cheaper
@@MarknNewYorkCity it seems to me that you don’t know what you are talking about!
@calvinchu2421 $18 for 10 dumplings, kind of expensive
It's much cheaper in Chinatown

Expensive
You a plate when you taste the food
Wow what a very noisy place.i couldn't cope with the noise,i would have to leave.
@@marcus3261 which restaurant isn’t noisy lol I’d suggest you stay home

For all the Asian restaurants I've been to, I never saw a non Asian serving the food.
Definitely is fusion Chinese food, not authentic Taiwanese food.
It is authentic Taiwanese food bud
Just not the same
would never eat at this restaurant
not worthy of its name。
❤❤❤
