The new #porsche Cayenne is here, and it also brings along the most powerful Cayenne ever - with the new Porsche #Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid.
The top dog of the Cayenne range, like last time, is the Turbo GT - that car is a pure V8, with specific suspension and dynamics, engine tune and sound, weight saving measures and a unique body style.
But this model is no longer available in most of Europe, UK, Japan and some other territories because of local regulations and emissions
Now most manufacturers would have given up, especially when a car like the normal Turbo E Hybrid exists with 739PS
But not Porsche.
Staying true to their identity of a sports car maker, they’ve gone the extra mile and created an apology for those territories in the form of the “GT Package”.
It’s around 20k more than the normal Turbo E, and comes with much of the magic of the GT.
It’s massively powerful at 739PS, has an impressive electric range of 80km in town, and one of the best soundtracks you’ll hear in a modern car from the gt pack titanium tips.
In this Package, all chassis and control systems, including the air suspension, are specifically tuned like the Turbo GT. The car sits 10mm lower, GT-specific pivot bearings increase the camber on the front axle by -0.58 degrees, It has wider front wheels by 0.5 inches and finally a Lightweight battery too!
All in, 100KG lighter thank the Turbo E at 2450kg! Which actually means it’s almost identical to a X5M competition.
But, perhaps all that glitters is not gold. Every performance hybrid I’ve ever driven has been too heavy, and wildly overcompensating this with an outrageous horsepower figure. Things seem much of the same here, with a car that’s much heavier than the normal Cayenne albeit more powerful.
If this just another heavy hybrid we don’t really want? Or have Porsche made what might be the only big performance hybrid in the world to actually be dynamic?

Your statement about every hybrid being overweight with outrageous horsepower rating to overcome said weight is spot on. And you are carrying that extra weight all the time- in corners, during braking where the horsepower is of no help.
Porsche is leaving AMG in the dust
Base price of Turbo GT IS Over $70K more than rivals like a GLE 63S. Wouldn’t say that’s leaving anyone in the dust in terms of value for money lmao especially for a car that looks basically no different from the base model

Whenever you do the launch control with an e-hybrid, you have to engage electric hybrid, and then do launch , control, you get a better launch.

Completely agree but you can no longer buy a GT in the uk in newer models so this is the only option under nee regs

Because you get up to 200miles mpg
You also get about 40 to 50 miles on pure electric great for when you don't want to wake the neighbours up
Simple. Tax benefits. For me, this is 200k. A petrol only Version would be 350k because of environmental taxes.
So beeing able to get a car like this that has little to no downside in emotions is a godsend.
And mine isn’t the only country that does things like this.

God how much i wish this car had a traditional shifter like the old one. The car overall is beautiful, but this new shifter is terrible and not intuitive at all. Please tell them we all hate it! 🙏
Hmmm, hard to decide between GT and the Purosangue. The Ferrari has a new soport suspension layout which I heard made it very exciting to drive😅
The GT is half the price and 5 times more reliable so it's an easy pick for me, I even think it looks better.

I can't believe this car gets a free pass from the carbon tax in my country because it's a plug-in hybrid... It's probably the least ecological car on sale today ! Massive weight, huge batteries (where are those made ? I'm assuming not in Stuttgart...), your video shows a fuel consumption of over 24L/100km at an average speed of 50km/h, that is absolutely insane. The range on a full tank is barely over 300km, so you're in the small EV car territory...
What a weird, weird world we live in where the richest basically lining up to pay the price of a house for a car that has neither the practicality of a real SUV nor the driving dynamics of a sports car. I can't get my head around it.

No thanks. I never want to plug in a high performance vehicle. 0-60 is pretty disappointing. My 2020 cayenne turbo with 540hp did it in 3.7.

Lol, you're buggin. You mean you'll take the Audi Q8 since the Urus is mostly Audi Q8 parts with a Lamborghini badge. Over 40% of the parts come from the Q8. The cost of the Urus is super inflated when you take into consideration its not really a brand new model with brand new lamborghini parts.
Every plugin hybrid fails as a GT. No long distance driver want to both fill up and charge. But nice Porsche though..

I do think some special badging would’ve been an order, but Porsche has never really done any specific branding like that like BMW or Audi just for the sake of stroking off so people can see you have a special car. People that drive an M5 or an AMG or an RS are the type of people that feel they need to show something where is with a Porsche you’re just getting a Porsche and when you’re the owner, the brand is making a statement all on its own.
I think you're mistaken about Audi, they only have the S-line, S and RS. They may call their models Plus, Performance or Competition, they never put that as a badging on the car. Porsche is as bad as the Beemers.

I just turned 40 and am a single male virgin Christian man, 6"2, bald but ok looking (I think), well travelled, level headed, sociable. It's been 8 years since I was properly with someone and that only lasted a few months and the time before that I was in an abusive relationship for a year going back 10 years ago now.
I can't believe it's been this long since I was with someone and I'm rapidly thinking it is over for me. What's more is your confidence takes a huge knock and you convince yourself that something must be wrong with you. In my case, it could be the brown skin or the baldness or perhaps I just don't have enough going for me. Women's expectations are so high now that you can't just be an average man.
I used to regularly date but even that isn't happening much anymore. I do think I'm not meeting enough women on a regular basis, so the only way I "meet" women are through dating apps. I still seem to get matches but it goes nowhere. They usually just disappear. I rarely even meet someone I want to pursue. The few I do aren't into me and the ones that are, I'm not into.
I keep praying and seeking God over this but there still appears to be no progress or hope and as a result, it's no surprise I've ended up in a rut of bitterness. Worse still I don't want to descend into hating women.
It may not be too late to meet someone but with age my options are limited and time is running out. I am worried about being left on the shelf and being alone for the rest of my life and dying alone and just ending my life as a bitter old man. My parents are getting older and eventually I will have no one around me.
Buy a Porsche. This will solve your problem with women 🙂
