I was just wondering about a week ago why hasn’t anyone reviewed the hybrid TGT yet, and here comes Joe… And I am watching this at the hospital after a surgery. Tx mate for making my stay a bit more relaxed! Happy holidays to everyone!
A few moons ago, I had the 2015 Cayenne S-e hybrid with the supercharged V6. At 130k Km and then 145k km, the engine needed complete de-sooting, at great cost. Turns out these porsche engines were not designed like a Prius engine and didn’t like the non-stop start/stop that came with hybrid use. I loved the performance but swore never again to buy a hybrid performance motor. Online forums suggest I wasn’t an isolated case.
That car is 10 years old now.... Porsche's hybrid technology has improved a lot. I've done almost 200k km with my Panamera 4 e-hybrid without any issues apart from regular maintenance.
While driving the kids to school, one can never be too safe. Presenting the new Cayenne, Turbo GT. For those times when you find yourself between driveway and drop off zone, on the Nurburgring.
The turbo e-hybrid is such a vow next to the real Turbo GT. It’s nice that they market the luxury version though. I’m so happy the US market still gets the real turbo GT.
This car looks amazing on the exterior and luxury interior! The handling for a SUV is insane and it has all the power u need for a SUV love it.. those new headlights are so unique
Agreed and I'm sure Porsche don't want to build EV's or Hybrids, but that's what governments are forcing them to do. All in the name of being green.... Apparently!?!
@@lechproteanwho Tf buys a V8 and worried about mpg? Seriously, Who Tf knowingly buys a vehicle with a big gas guzzling engine and worries about fuel economy?🤦🏿♂️
Joe, 🎸, man, you can drive brother!! Like seeing how one corner the back stepped out a bit then seeing you short shift so you can give it the beans, keeping it balanced. It's beautiful to watch man. Geez. I dont like SUVs but this if i were rich, could change my mind.
I love the way big SUVs are now clocking McLaren F1 0-60 times, and in the case of this Porsche it could probably hit the same numbers time after time. Incredible!!
Great car and location. 👍🏻Different question- what are the consumption figures at normal road drive? Asking as these new 2.5T hybrids can do miracles in that space as well.
There are some cars with your desired lower seat position. But nothing for customers... There are some "mulettos", pre-series cars used for tire-homologation for example, with the GT3 RS carbon seats mounted. Ok, nothing really usable as a daily... But this is giving the last bit trust.

Hey Joe, bit late to the party here, but any idea what colour this car is? I can’t seem to match it on the Porsche configurator. Also, great review-as usual🇦🇺👍 🚙💨
@@JoeAchilles1 yes i saw it :) but there no exact answer ;)))) p.s: i own also 992 turbo S :) but cannot decide do i really need Cayenne turbo. Is it this S hybrid so dead in terms of performance?
I haven’t driven either, but I’m looking at the S Hybrid myself and it’s super fast enough looking at numbers. I’m coming from a Tesla Model X plaid and that was so fast that it was scary. It all depends on what you’re looking for in terms of performance and power, both The S and Turbo will certainly have both. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with the S Hybrid and I’ve done a ton of research on this. If you want balls to the wall, then go for the Turbo.
That would be interesting... I would predict the Cayenne would be almost identical time over one lap (especially with the correct Corsa tyres on), but after two laps the Cayman would be quicker and that gap would grow quickly as temps go through the roof in the SUV...
Joe, It seems I maybe fortunate in 24 for a new SUV, your expert opinion, Cayenne Turbo E- Hybrid, Alpina XB7, or GLS 63 AMG? Kindly share your thoughts.
Fun fact, the EA825 4.0t v8 in this is the same as the one used in the Turbo, GTS and now even S model. The engine is identical in all cases and a tune for $900 will push the power to 730 hp, for $4,000 APR will give you that tune and take over your warranty, an intake and intecoolers on top increases power to 825 hp.
Let's talk about the operational costs......while a battery failure is a write off for the whole car, so no one will want to buy a second hand one. Not even talking about the energy costs...... The battery powered EV is dead on arrival. They are trying to force us.
I wish they start investing into the feel of the drive , the experience because that's what Porsche is all about aiming for just breaking numbers and quicker 0 to 60 while adding more weight and more robotic with the hybrid sorry but I'll go for a Tesla x plaid
Indeed, especially an estate shaped Panamera. A lot of people love a fast estate/wagon/Avant. Like the RS4 & RS6. I really don’t get the lust for SUV’s / EVSUV’s 🙈

I never thought in my life that an SUV can do slide esp. that 180 degree one. Kudos for both driver and car 🙌👏

Absolutely amazing track session, amazing drifting, amazing review. Great work Joe.
I can recognize Circuit de Castellolí and Montserrat. Nice place to test an amazing car like the Turbo GT!
Sound of that v8 👌🏻

I'm fairly confident you won't be disappointed!
Another great review Joe on one of my favourite Porsches 👍🤛

Great looking car and Awesome performance. Cody can’t be justified for me but Porsche do some amazing things with engineering.
What a year! Some great videos, such as Australia. Looking forward to seeing you in 2024. Have a great Christmas.
Those power figures are insane!!
That is an amazing SUV .... i have 2 small complaints, no towing ability and no sunroof.... for a SUV these things are needed....
Beautifully engineered car no doubt (it is a Porsche after all), but to me this is an overkill with teach, weight and complexity.

Tbf the F1 can probably really do 0-60 in under 3 seconds, tire tech has come a long way since 1994.
Bonkers isn't it!
I dont they're still on the same tyres they came on @flacjacket

Hello, nice review.
Is this Turbo E-hybrid so much better than S-ehybrid? Is it worth the price difference?

It’s fast for a suv, but I wonder if a 718 cayman s would be faster around the track

What track is this? Is it on Gran Turismo 7?
How does it compare to the x5 M ?
It’s no heavier than the new M5!

How does it compare to a Tesla X on the track?
I wouldn't like to find out.
"It sits 10 mm lower". Are you being serious? 1 cm? That's almost within the margin of error! XD
Ammount of money you gonna spend driving in like that is crazy... even relatively to its own price

Real V8 is what you should get in a Porsche price range . Not VW V6 or 2.0 4 banger
Sorry officer... it was the car, I swear! It was encouraging me to go faster! 😂🤫
Why is there still no GTS Cayenne ?
Porsche has the GTS in every model they make now but not the Cayenne
I suspect it’s deleted
It doesn’t comply with EU emissions regulations
Where is the blue Cayenne ?
А смысл в этом? Куда вы хотите приехать и с какой целью? Это для меня осталось загадкой? Куда? Куда ехать?

Brick.
Porsche has issues with the batteries in EV cars, I just wonder if this will suffer the same although you have an engine to keep it going.
155,000 pounds seems a little heavy for such a small car 😜
I will never drive my suv on a track.Cool vehicle though.
1sr.
The non hybrid is even faster
It will be great if youre running late taking the kids to football practice.
Just 100 extra hp and an awful lot of weight added. Not good at all. I'd expected a mild hybrid Cayenne Turbo GT with close to 700 hp.
No positives unless you are getting a tax break somehow

E-xpensive and O-verpriced.
What a tasteless vehicle. I wish Porsche would put this much effort into Panamera but people do like them SUVs...

This is a comment that Fraser Craine’s ex wife would have made
car is wayyyy to heavy
toxic nature of battery operated EV is gross

So unnecessary,
It's heavy, tall, expensive
And complicated.
