This new path would mirror the first path. When syncing the two video's, and flip on of them, it would appear that the drone is flying through two horizons.

Russ great video on this unique camera. My big concern (which you pointed out) is the lower camera making the drone uneven not only for takeoff but landing. With those lens so sensitive this is a concern. Not sure but would landing gear extenders help in this instance ?
Great video!!! Im curious if u are getting lots of use out of the insta360 sphere! I would love to buy one but cant really afford to buy a new one! By chance are u interested in letting yours go?
I just bought my sphere haven't even been out with it yet. Don't know whether to buy a good laptop or good tablet for editing the footage. What would you suggest?
A wonderful review and it look very cool, I'm just curious can you process footage of your Insta360 on any device, just example I have android and Microsoft computer, or only can be processed through Apple device, thank you.
Dear Russ :) did you notice any decrease in battery time? Does it have more weight, so the drone has to struggle? I read a guy's comment in other video that the drone lost a lot of GPS sign, remained only 8-10 satellites from the 16-18 and the propeller noise was also louder. No offense, I am really excited to buy this Sphere and also trade in my M2Pro and switch to AIR 2/2S but I lay big emphasis on your experience. Thanks a lot, cheers mate :) Edward from Budapest, Hungary
The 360 sphere is 193 grams. Total weight with the Air 2s is 785 grams. The extra weight will give a slightly heavier 'feel' to it and directional response will be slightly slower. I would suggest assuming approximately 15-20% less flying time with the added weight.
Russ, can you recommend a place online that offers video editing. Looks like a great product, but my skills for video editing Are limit, so if you are having trouble issues editing, has to be to complicated for me.
Any idea how far out the stitch line goes? I'm curious whether it could be mounted to a long selfie stick (like a "Mr. Longarm" / 20ft+) to have some functionality other than just the Air2/2S.
I use a 35 lbs. kitty litter pail with the lid removed as a drone stand. The Insta360 ONE X2 and 3 inch dampening mount can hang below the drone without touching anything. The Mavic's arms span the square pail top perfectly. It helps to cut the sides out for less air flow resistance.
Can you use it as a regular insta360 as well? Does it include the ONE RS cage or something equivalent so can attach an Invisible Selfie Stick when not using a drone (or cannot use drone because of restricted zone)?
Great review and appreciate you not trying to push this as a total FPV replacement. I had the first system and it sucked, but looks like they put some improvements into this system. Downside is the old system was just a mounting system and you ended up with a full camera system too. This looks to be a one trick pony if I'm not mistaken.
I know this is made for the Air 2, but do you think it will work on the Air 1? I’m sure it’s not recommended but I’m really curious. Thanks! Great video btw!
I could imagine having a lot of fun diving buildings with this without diving, although I'd probably add some speed ramping to get the effect of freefalling. Can the Sphere do 60fps or is it just 30?

I have a Magic 2 Pro and I have been flying for a couple years now, I am currently studying for my 107 certification so I can get paid for my drone footage. I am interested in doing inspections and Real Estate photos as a business when I get certified, do you recommend I upgrade my Drone? If so what model DJI should I look at? I am hoping to keep the cost under $10,000 if that is possible as I am not that confident with the business aspects of flying a Drone for income yet, but I would like to do it full time if I can learn the business side. Thanks in advance for any recommendations you may have for me. Great watching and learning from you Russ, take care.
Just got this and could use some tips on how to start the camera, how to start and stop recording, and how to shut off the camera -- and what the LEDs do for each case (colors etc). The instructions are too vague on this. Thanks.
Every hobby has it's pool of 'experts' that will immediately bash tf out of different technologies, views, opinions, etc. A big "WHATEVER" to them lol. The 360 sphere is a great tool to have in the lineup!! Side note: With the vulnerability of the lenses, they should have made them replaceable.

@@51Drones That’s a great feature. What models Feature this? But here in Austria 🇦🇹 there wouldn’t be any a big use case for this because of the EU regulations. I am only allowed to fly 120 meters. The only manned aircraft in this area are helicopters and these mostly fly higher.

Other than the drone becoming invisible, it seems like you can do all this by attaching an Insta360 one X2 to the bottom of the drone. And the stitch line is better with the One X2. Am I wrong? By the way, the One X3 may be too heavy for the Mavic Air 2, so I wouldn’t recommend it. I am waiting for my drone camera mount to attach my One X2, so I will eventually test it.

Wish they’d made it for the Mavic 3 - the Insta 360 one x2 is good fun on the Mavic 3 but it absolutely destroys sats on the Mavic 3 - so much so that the flight records no data on my uav account - great video
fpv just stands for First Person View. In the drone world it's used not just for racing but for those that want a more immersive experience similar to fpv goggles for gaming. The video changes from a cinematic to a more dramatic look.
Next step, get DJI to install a 360 camera with a hemisphere on top of the drone and another below. Send that signal back to their goggles, allowing the pilot to have a clear view all around the drone while flying. Even better if you can move your head and the goggles move the camera on the drone, or change your position in the 360 view. Now you have a base for not needing “visual line of sight” and can see where all the hazards are. I’m betting five years or less before they make the first model.
Rather than a little stand I’d just put little thimbles on the legs of the drone. That should raise it enough, plus they are rubber so they will stretch as necessary
