I'm 37, still never been married, too smart for that. I've done online dating off and on for years. One thing I've learned more than anything else, when women say "Yeah I don't like to play games..." or "I want a guy who doesn't play games..", 90% of the time they are going to play mind games with you in more ways than one while you're dating or down the road. And most of the time they don't realize they're doing it.

I'm not saying all women are like this but a lot of them these days think the whole world revolves around them just for being pretty with a very narcissistic mindset
They use you for what you have and act like they “ love” you and once they emotionally and physically drain you from everything you have and achieve. They suck you dry and then sink a knife into your back and dip. It’s not for love anymore it’s what they can get out of it for a limited amount of time or even over a long period of time . But once maybe you find someone who isn’t this way the man is already traumatized. Like how am I suppose to dig myself out of these situation and trust another one? I’ve been lied too, manipulated, used , ghosted , backstabbed, and all sorts and I’m only 19. This isn’t a good start.
I'd say it gets easier but it really doesn't. You will find out what you like and don't like and will learn to see the warning signs in potential partners. Sadly with a lot of people, it comes down to narcissism and the concept of give and take. It's a shame men have to hold back their kindness for the constant fear of being used when their partner has what they want. Ultimately I just learned to keep my head high and focus on myself. You can find happiness in this world without needing to depend on others! I still enjoy dating but I take women way less seriously and I've found they just want me more for it.

Now there's a girl I met on Facebook a year ago (like July 2021). Over that span of time up to this point, I've been trying to meet her in person (she lives pretty close to me). But the thing is, no matter how much we've planned out times to meet up, she always isn't able to, and THEN I see/hear about her going on dates with other guys; guys who are horrible, bad boys. Then she's always hurt by them and broke up with them about a month later. No matter how many hints I've dropped to her about how I would respectfully treat a woman, she never gives me a shot. It's like I'm only seen as a friend/text buddy. I'll see her posting about how men are horrible, and that men are garbage, and it's like, it's only because of HER. She always chooses to go out with bad guys who she'll get hurt by. I don't know man, I think it's all starting to make feel sick and insane in the head. It makes me wonder what the heck am I doing wrong?

Dude. I'm 26, never had a girlfriend ever in my entire life, and have only had physical intimacy twice in my life. I think with social media and dating apps now being normally used by millions of people, had caused and ruined the dating market today. I'm a Gen X woman, middle aged now and I remember back in the 90's, and early 2000's, dating and finding relationships was normal. I had so much fun, met and dated interesting men, and men back then approached women and women did too. My long term boyfriend/domestic partner passed away last summer and I've been grieving since. But once my grieving process is over, I would like to date again, but the dating market seems scary now. I'm told by many people that I look way younger for my age, very attractive, slender, in good shape, with a sweet demeanor. But I don't know what is out there for me the way society is going.
