Having spent a few hours copy/pasting notes from the piano roll between synths I wanted to double up this seems like heaven to me. Thanks for the (as ever) clear explanation.
This was so informative! This workflow looks way more attractive to me than routing on the mixer, as not having the visual cues can be confusing. The guitar was beautiful! I've tried making a guitar and vocals sound that huge with just adding reverb and delay to a mixer track along with some EQ (Not even using sends, I know now that's a better way as well...) and struggled to get that type of effect. It totally slipped my mind that you want to blend a 100% wet signal *with* a dry signal. I had been just affecting the dry signal while copying it for layers and panning said layers and getting frusturated. It amazes me how simplistic some of this stuff is in music, and I find myself overcomplicating ideas.

Quite possibly thee most beneficial video you have made. I had absolutely zero clue that this even existed. You were very easy to follow and understand. God bless you, Sir
If you press f8 it opens the plugin picker, and you can then drag those plugins into patcher so you don’t have to search through a list. This helps a lot because there’s icons for the plugins, and if you start typing while in the plugin picker it searches for that plugin. Very handy for adding things quickly!
I think I just echo what others have said...you actually give not only useful information, but seem to WANT other people to understand it. I taught a bit, and trained in IT in the old days, and the rule I have not forgotten, is 'if you can't make it interesting, don't bother teaching it'. It's a nice segment of guitar, and you show the effect being had on it, and it all makes sense. Others here say they didn't even know this application existed in their DAW. We can all find something to say that about I think. I have had people teach or lecture, who not only didn't care if you understood, but seemed actually happier to make it harder for the general class to struggle. Some of their explanations seemed downright perverse, once I understood the material - if I ever got that far. So, thanks and carry on, hope your ventures work out!
Geez i love the way you teach by creating something useful, rather than just explaining what each parameter is individually. Best tutorial content creator by far!! thank you for making it easy to understand and getting straight to the point :-)

Brilliant! linking several parameters to the one knob will definitely help clean up my workflow in the playlist view. Especially during transitions from break into drop where you need a separate automation clip for reverb, delay, chorus, pitch , saturation and eq could all be done with the one automation clip.... pretty much the recipe for the endless smile plugin ;)

Thank you! Keep up with your excellent videos!

Thank you for this very important tutorial happy holidays 😊😊😊
Don't worry about the style of your tutorials. Youre basically my favourite source for those. Thanks alot!
It seems like this sort of thing is also great for people who do live performances and can link controllers of many VSTs and effects within the patch to 1 board of buttons. Brilliant!!
This is the best channel on RUclips !!!
Brilliant! linking several parameters to the one knob will definitely help clean up my workflow in the playlist view. Especially during transitions from break into drop where you need a separate automation clip for reverb, delay, chorus, pitch , saturation and eq could all be done with the one automation clip.... pretty much the recipe for the endless smile plugin ;)
Thank you, you gave me a glimpse of how powerful patcher is. WIth this knowledge, I will be able to gain full control of my sounds. Stay blessed.
just started recording my own guitar pickings for beats and this one was the perfect input for the workflow i was searching for.
THANKS!
You don't know how much time and effort you've saved me. I never knew what patcher was for. Thank you.
Wow. Now this is something more DAWs need to implement! It’s incredibly intuitive. When I saw it, I made the connection to patching in modular synthesis! I am really glad you pointed it out near the end too!
music and recording are going in great places... I'm nearly 50 years old and in my life so much has changed!!! (I so excited!)
Dude, you are literally the best Fl Studio Channel on youtube. Thank you.
Thank you Michael. I've always been curious about Patcher but I was also very intimidated. You've broken it down and made me realize that it is quite straight forward.
Been following your channel for a while, just stumbled on this tutorial, this is fantastic! Especially when feeling too lazy Layer instruments then have to route them etc, been scared of patcher didn't know it was this easy. Thanks again👏🏾
This video proves that FL is deeper than some might give it credit for. Thanks for this awesome tutorial!
you are a saint for doing this for free. this is exactly what i needed to bring my music to the next level. thank you so much.
I used FL Studio for years and I never even thought something like this existed!
OMG!! This technique should be the first thing everyone learns when starting with FL. A TOTAL HEADACHE-FREE TECHNIQUE!!!!
Thanks man you're the best👶👶👶
You are Legend!
I'm a subscriber of your channel for a while since as I started learning music producing and doing research in the topic but I have had to put all aside because of personal life issues were temporarily made my creative part completely blocked, but now recovering and feeling better, somehow I managed to get back in my "zone" so I decided to refresh few things and I kept this channel with full of tutorials - for FL Studio... it is pretty rare compared to ableton - and now I'm feel like again that tiny knowledge what I have gathered about this DAW is worthless and so tiny and embarrassing and I want to learn more and more, music is like a language what we have to learn to create and a way of self expression just like human speach: when humans speak we shaping sounds and from that...words and so on.. and your tutorials gave me more tools into my inventory to help me expressing myself on a different way. Thank you! Keep up with your excellent videos!
I really appreciate your videos. Every Time I feel stuck, or just not understanding the use of certain pieces in FL Studio, you come through!! I have learned so much from watching your videos. Thank you for sharing, and giving back to the music world.
Brotha you’re genius, thank you so much 😊
i was literally so confused what a patcher was until this video. this is great
First place I started making beats was little big planet 2’s creator mode.. they had the exact same process as patcher for making songs in a level, I missed it so much, I’m soooo happy you put this video out, I’ll definitely be using patcher from now on.
Patcher, just like the Fruity Convolver, is another underrated plug-in that is a missed golden opportunity to create amazing effects without eating up your CPU. Thank you for another amazing and in-depth tutorial/example of how FL Studio can be used to create the most amazing tracks and effects!
This was so helpful! I tried patcher once and didn't really know how to start. I'm definitely gonna use this!
What a knowledgeable man. Unbelievable thing you just shown. It is a way too far convenient to execute huge projects in small way. Thanks a lot brother !
By far the best person that does any sort of FL Studio help
First time I saw RUclips suggesting something really interesting and worth watching. I never thought of this plugin. But after watching this, I found out how useful it is. Learnt a lot from your videos bro.. Expecting more to come. Huge respect🙏🏻
Cheers man, there's Hundreds just like this on my channel :)
@@inthemix Yes bro.. I saw a lot.. They are really helpful.. Sound Designing tutorial is amazing..
I was "patching" in the mixer and there was cables going from different channels to effect channel or had to do more complicated stuff to play different plugins at the same time. Patcher make things look more organized and less confusing. Thanks for the demo.
Never thought of using Patcher in this way. Really improved my workflow a lot. Thank you so much Sir❤️
Many of your videos (like this one) go to my FL studio tutorials playlist for future so i can look something up to refresh my memory and get top notch instructions. Thank you for that!
