    Quality job as always 👍 bg boards are a game changer….Never understood why the hypervolt cardboard mounting template comes in a bag and the cover is just loose in the box have dropped one myself it goes straight in the front of the van now out of the danger zone until it’s fitted 😂

      Thank you mate, I love the BG boards, yes that makes no sense!! I do the same, the cover goes away immediately, far to costly to replace!! Hope your well buddy

      Thank you sir, the printer is just a cheap thing called a NIIMBOT I got from Amazon, Il show it on the next EV install video

    Hi, great looking job. Is using that box comparable in price to running back to the meter inside and using cable and trunking inside and 5 metres of external clipped cable?? I guess i am asking, was it a standard installation??

    Hi there, the Ohme manual states that type C should be used. I noticed that the EV consumer unit had type B. Can you clarify?

    Great, I've just fitted one of these and struggled with 25mm tails, I found your video trying to find out if we could fit 16mm tails.
    Do you think an niceic or napit etc inspector would pull it, with it having 100amp fuse?

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  9 месяцев назад

      You can fit 16mm tails no problem and won’t fail an inspection 👍👍

    Hi SOTA, Great video as always I’m looking to plan my own install for my home charger.. Doncaster EV ultra 4mm is rated at 45A and 6mm at 59A. My question is your using 6mm is there any reason you are oversizing ? for this or it’s just what you have on the van.
    I’m due to do my EV course next few weeks and doing some pre reading etc
    After I complete my course wanted to install my own charger, was going to run 4mm Swa EV ULTRA as there a little bit of the run that I want hidden under ground.
    Appreciate any response and look forward to all your other content
    Thanks,

      Hi mate, good luck with your course!! I always use 6mm because it’s just what I have on the van

      @@sotaelectrical I just done a webinar with my Energy this morning and they recommended using 40A protective device & 6mm to install a Zappi. It’s over sizes but it’s what the manufacturer wants. It make sense why I found it so hard to pick up 4mm on the day and they only seem to stock 6mm.
      Appreciate the reply I wanted to get into EV and install my own the right way.
      Thanks

    Hi dose the ct clamp cable from meter cabinet go down the copex and join with the ev ultra cable inside c.u, is it just 2 cores and dose it matter what colour you use, I don't install ev charges just trying to get my head round it lol

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  Год назад

      The ct clamp goes in the meter box and is joined to a Cat 5 which goes down the copex which joins to the EV ultra cable if that makes sense? It is 2 cores and it does not really matter what colours you use

    • @gd-bq7em
      @gd-bq7em Год назад

      @@sotaelectrical so the cat 5 is in the ev cable you just stripped long enough so it passes through the c.u down the copex and into the junction box in meter cabinet

    Just as some constructive feedback to help aid you on your youtube journey.
    The audio volume goes low and the high between you talking and you playing music. The mic audio is fine, but the music volume is higher. it means I have to turn the volume up just hear what you're saying and then turn it down so I don't wake the house up with the music audio... (2.12-2.15 is a perfect example of this.)
    As i said, constructive feedback, I mean no offence!
