What cracks me up the most about this episode is, that they send Pernell Roberts down the river himself! I've been in trouble capsized with my kayak on the Illinois river once and watched many people having to be rescued from in- and outgoing tides on the North Sea. Underestimating the force of water can be deadly. 6" of water rushing over a flooded roadway can wash away a car. From me: kudos to Pernell for doing that scene himself. I'm pretty sure he didn't have to act a whole lot when he was trying to get out of the river, he HAD TO have been tired! And he WAS coughing up real water, you just watched him swallow it as he was getting closer to the shore and struggled with the circulating current there (can't think of the English term for that right now to save my life...) "He was one of a kind...." One of my favorite episodes.

That's cute!
This green jacket must have smelled like a stallion's tail 🙂 Poor fella wore it for years
Thank You.
Aku sangat suka Nonton Film nya Bonanza THN 70an sampai sekarang👍👍👍
🎬❤️
In the opening scene where Adam falls into the river and is swimming, there is a car moving along a road that runs parallel to the river. About the 1:42 mark
good eye...
I've watched numerous times but can't see it.
@@nadaprlic22 top off the screen
I've finally seen it too.
He was man hunting for gilligan
Great Stuff, Thanks!
7:46 Hoss is hilarious!!! 🙂
Hoss is always hilarious.
and a tremendous heart of gold
This show had some of the greatest guests stars of all time! I watch a lot of western movies and I see many of the Bonanza guest stars appearing in western movies. It sometimes takes me a minute to figure out where I have seen them before, then I remember and have to try and recall what character they appeared as. ;) this time it was the reverse, trying to realize where I've seen the guest star lol....being a western movie fan, how could I have not recognized Rory Calhoun? Lol
It even had Charles Bronson and Telly Savales
Thats why i love thes old shows because of the huge amount of stars. Columbo was the same way as was The original star trek, which bonanza had numerous star trek guests
Rory Calhoun was the whole show in this episode really devilish and nonchalant
Ich liebe die Serie bonanza über alles und schau mir sie immer wieder an sobald sie gezeigt wird egal wie oft ich sie schon gesehen habe 🐺🐾🐎🐻❤️

Absolutely wonderful show.

I Love Bonanza and have seen it many times but this is the first time I've noticed this blooper, look in the background at 1:41 and you'll notice a car driving
You got great eyes, there is one in the great movie THE UNDEFEATED with John wayne. I think right after the harmonica playing across the river at the end of the movie there is a pick up truck moving it's near John's left arm. If you can, watch the movie and let me know if you see it. 156.59 is where it is.
No, that is closer to 1.44
I am impressed! This is pre CGI when they could have taken it out.
It's good to help a friend but be sure your friend is honest
Tom Skerritt played such a dork in this episode. Lol
Adam was pretty easy going about him taking money from his wallet.
Adam has an intense way of analyzing everything. He seems to like contemplating why people do what they do, before he reacts.
The Cartwright's were so rich that it didn't matter? .... Hah
@@cgallagher5023 It always matters when someone takes what doesn't belong to them. It's called stealing.
The man had saved his life, he was giving him a lot of space.
Adam always give people a second change.
Young Skerritt was PISSED!
Great episode, great series.
so great real back grounds

Enjoyed.
I finally understand why Rory Calhoun was so well known for standing and walking.
👍👌👏 2) Unfortunately great Rory Calhoun nearly always played bad respectively dubious characters. Even outside of Western movies.
Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing this old Western series.
Best regards luck and health.
I guess I was a bit young to know much about Calhoun although I am pretty sure I saw him on shows such as Police Woman, Gilligan's Island, Fantasy Island, Owen Marshall (Arthur Hill is a favorite actor of mine), Petrocelli, Movin' On (I enjoyed Claude Akins), and Starsky & Hutch). I was more familiar with Tom Skeritt, the sheriff on Pickett Fences, who played Jerry, but he was so much younger, I was not able to recognize him.
Mr Cartwright a great Father figure. Adam very observant, Hoss a gentle giant and joe him and Hoss always in some crazy shemes. But they yristed and love each other
Another Great one :)
Thank you for Watching 😄😃
Thanks for the video 👌😀
My pleasure 🤠👌🎬🍿
18:42 he decides it wouldn't be a good idea to go against Hoss. 🙂
Letting the CHRUCH say AMEN

Really enjoyed, thanks
Poor old Rory ; once again going down in glory. lol
He has some similarities with Mr. Mario Lanza -the Tenor . Side view when Mario Lanza was smiling both had same facial view similarities and the voices . if Adam has more Training in Opera, he could be more successful , he was a good singer and a theater actor. He was very talented but not given the chance during his days in Bonanza . Both Parnell Roberts - ( Adam Catright in Bonanza ) & Mario Lanza had their own unique voice and singing in heaven. ❤️🌸🌺🌹🙏🇨🇦👌🦜🇺🇸
Poor little calf! He must’ve been terrified, until he died 😟
Adam found his hat.
Good swimmer too
That Adam regardless, my dude.
Adam was so damned sexy. What a gorgeous looking man ❤
Adam Cartwright the detective
Right. This is the second episode where I saw Adam being a detective and figuring out who the real killer was. 🕵♂️
