The best advise I've ever gotten from a fellow modeler, is he told me if ya wanna build a model, to replicate a realistic looking model car, is to look at the real car! That advise changed the way I build model cars! He was so right! Ive spent hours looking at real car engines, taking a lot of photos of real car engines, and the suspensions, and have made better looking models because of doing that. Just look at the real thing first.
I’ve always told myself to look at each part of a model as a model itself. For example, detail a carburetor as if you building a highly detailed replica of a carburetor.
this is the most inspiring modelmaking craftsmanship in video format I've seen. You make extreme detailing look effortless yet involved, utilizing proper tools, materials and expertise. No need for a narrative when the hands tell the story so well. Thank you for taking the time to share these projects with us.
The sound of plastic being snipped, the brush placed in the glue bottle or the sanding of plastic is pure ASMR to scalemodelers. Really nice that he doesn't "entertain" us with music.
It is not just the detail of the build that is more than astounding. But to me, the fact that your creativity to even attempt some of these features is incredible. I tell you, every model producing company on the planet should be begging you to build one of their products.🔥🔥💯
That was amazing. Talk about raising the bar. None of this work seemed impossible or requiring artistic talent, but did require incredible attention to detail, dedication, precision, and the result is stunning. Thank you so much.
With hands like that you could be a surgeon.! No joke. I would put the rest of the model back in the box and take that engine to model shows! Absolutly amazing work.😮
Your work is amazing. Your patience and precision is inspiring. I used to put these models together really fast when I was young. Taking your time with Achieving such accuracy brings on a new enjoyment to model building.
So, I just found your videos tonight. Amazing! I like how you're not talking in them. And how you show what you're doing. Very informative for us trying to learn new skills. I thought I was a skilled modeler, turns out I'm a rookie compared to you. You sir are inspiring. And I'm a subscriber now. Keep up the great work and videos.
What can we build more than a brilliant linkage system on the gearbox?? Let me think. Aha 2 strips with each 4 holes for seperating the sparkplug wires to the ignition coil. How mad is that. We have been watching this video, my wife and me in the heat of the day in a heatwave with a big mug of coffee and mouths wide open AGAIN. Brilliant,i got no other words for this pieces of modelbuilding ART.
@@fastbackseventyseven3553 in am from Holland but live for 23 years in the south east of Spain. Yes this guy is a amazing builder. Every video from him makes our day to a great day.
@@A4Garage Ilearn that much from your building tecnicks and tricks, that even i am amazing myself with the progress i am making build by build. And i am only a mediocre builder. But i see my progressing from the first build untill the last build, and thank you for showing us to be better builders
That is just amazing. It looks so real and the precision you displayed was just fantastic. I think you just took that model kit to a whole new level. Thank you for sharing.
Very detailed except oil fill on driver's side valve cover near cylinder 5 and draft tube passenger side valve cover near cylinder 4 and tube runs along block with tab bolted to transmission bell housing bolt .tube was black and once mounted next to starter and was 3 inches below starter To vent crankcase vapors block was black air cleaner was gold valve covers gold and oil pan awesome work thanks for posting 😊
I’m building a similar car. 65 Mustang hardtop. I’ll use your idea on fabricating the fuel pump 👍. I’m adding air conditioning. It’s a challenge, but fun. I had a 65 GT hardtop when I was a teenager. It had A/C. I also had it bored to 302 and put aftermarket intake manifold and air cleaner. I like how you did scratch build your air cleaner. And I made the seats fold so passengers can get in the back seats. But not finished because too many scratches don’t polish well on the trim that swivels. I may do it over. I also like how you did 90 degree spark plug fittings to the distributor.
A very interesting trick I learned from this video....using the electric drill and an X-acto blade as a mini-lathe. Shaping the tiny plastic piece, while in the drill chuck is a great idea ! Thanks !
Nice build! Great detail and very inspiring. Carb looks a little simple in comparison to everything else. Thank you for posting and sharing this build.
No matter how drastic the surgery is on any of these plastic parts the end result always turns into a massive upgrade. I love watching you do your magic. You really are a crafting wizard. Incredible skills on display!
Good morning Sir! I was so sad without videos from A4 garage since all this time, but you're on the place again !! During this time I've watched a lot of scales modeling's videos on RUclips, but nobody else had your talent! Your job is incredible! The details are so realistics: the respect position of plugs wire😲, the oil filter, the fuel pump, the oil screw drain, etc... thanks a lot, you are amazing! See you soon, good vibes from France☮️
Great build! I really like how you add detail by modifying the kit parts or scratch-building replacements. There's not an over reliance on aftermarket parts on your models.
Astonished and Amazed by your detailing prowess. But I think the detail would have been better in " Ford Blue" engine block, and yellow spark plug wiring. But still, WOW!
The micro hardware you have amassed is amazing in its self. Must be 100's of $$$. D code 289 small block with 4 barrel carb, & 210 hp. Correct colors. Realy incredible detail. Just subacribed. Thanks.
I love the detail you've put into this 289 engine, it looks fantastic. Please don't take this wrong, because I'm not knocking anything you've done. I'm 72 and back in the 60's, I lived under the hood of most of those cars back then. Yes... I was a true motorhead! A couple of things I noticed about the build. The coil is on the wrong side. It should be on the right side above the alternator and behind the dipstick. The other thing, there is no where to put oil in the motor. The oil filler cap was on the left front value cover. I can't tell you how many qts. of oil or Autolite spark plugs I changed on Tangs back in the day. Once a again, I enjoyed watching you work. Thanks!

@@RackwitzG that's right! I've missed to say the same!👍
it is very good but pictographic instructions are bad enough. While entertaining and informative I would enjoy a narrative too.
Very impressed

이런 분이 계신게 참 존경스럽습니다.
감사합니다^^
Making sure the firing order was correct is probably my favorite part of this build. So cool.
Totally! I was thinking about that as that segment started and there it was!
No, it has to be the dipstick!
It is not just the detail of the build that is more than astounding. But to me, the fact that your creativity to even attempt some of these features is incredible. I tell you, every model producing company on the planet should be begging you to build one of their products.🔥🔥💯
I agree, except I think he really exposes how basic and/or crude some of these kits are by showing what's the car should look like
my family thinks im mentally ill for enjoying this hobby but everyone in the you tube world is praising you!

The gearbox detailing is superb. And the wiring to the distributor cap, unbelievable. The parts are so small and yet so realistic. Brilliant!
Thank you!
Finally! I even checked your channel the other day to make sure I hadn't missed an installment.
Your attention to detail keeps blowing me away. The air cleaner was amazing and even having the correct firing order. You are a genius.
True artistry!
Getting the details set then handling the piece without fudging things up is my biggest challenge 😮
Absolutely the best model engine build I've seen on RUclips.... bravo!!! Thanks for sharing this with us 😎👍

Now to make a car worthy of such art.
Thanks for sharing that awesome engine technique can't wait to see the finished ride when your done 😎
Very impressive build! I love your attention to detail wiring the spark plug wires in the correct order into the distributor cap!
You have made a very ordinary “stock” kit engine look amazing. This is superb craftsmanship. Can’t wait for the next episode. Thanks, as always.
Absolutely amazing craftsmanship !!

So much detailing and added parts. Amazing. Only thing I would have changed was the oil filter, made it screw on to engine block. lol
These posts should be required viewing for all model builders.
Well done
Ok, this is absolutely hypnotic. I believe that when this is in the car and you turn the key .... it will start!!
We were getting to the end and I was going to ask, sarcastically, "So where is the wing nut for the air cleaner?" Then he made it! Amazing!
