One huge advantage this rollable has is it's not as bulky and pretty slender for its futuristic form. Although there's a big caveat, the most fragile part which is the screen is fully exposed like og Mate X. IMO foldy tablet still the safer choice but this is exciting nevertheless. The big difference is that the soft display is on the INSIDE of those phones, so less prone to scratches (which you can do with a fingernail). It's very cool but I wouldn't go as far to say it's more usable. I don't actually think motors or the rails will be an issue (unless grit can get in and seize one of the rails, which with that edge as he described it's possible), it's just having the screen on the outside that reduces its longevity.

I think this will end up like the phone pop up camera. More moving parts taking up more space making it less reliable and less space for motherboard and battery. Plus a vulnerability to dust and sand and maybe sacrificing water resistance

Watching this on my Samsung Z Fold 4, my biggest concern is the tiny motor inside the device. If it ever decides to grind to a halt after heavy use, how will it be fixed? How will it be replaced? If it can be saved, then how much would we have to pay for it to be fixed?
