Exactly the same issue, just fixed. An important point, any disconnection/connection in any part of the air bag system must be done with the battery disconnected for several minutes. A accidental deployment or damage to the air bag ecu may result. Some faults can be fixed but many cannot. A new module is the safest solution. Order through a Fiat dealer ( even if your van is Citroen or Peugeot, the part through Fiat will be lower cost). The part number is at the top of the module, not the bar code. The replacement will have the updated part number, black label. Once installed the new unit needs to be proxy aligned with a suitable diagnostic system. Diy systems ALFA obd and Multiecuscan can do this or most garage diagnostic systems. The airbag ecu has to match the vehicle configuration, so must be ordered on the part number. Expect to pay, Jan 2024 around 280 Inc vat.
Gutted for you fella that’s a nasty sting in the tail 😢. Hunt the wonder web you might get lucky on a replacement cheaper. As for the mot if you remove those bulbs they can’t fail it ! No light no problem 👍

Hi John nope they couldn't fix mine ,when i took my module to the local garage they couldn't get a reading from it

Just checking your mileage you have done 2000 miles less and your van is 2yrs younger...mine is a 2018 with 131 thousand kilometers.

I am no expert...but if you do get it fixed few trucker tricks...get a buckle from a scrap yard or do up seat belt and sit on it.
