- Discover what the best and worst types of footwear are when it comes to wearing shoe lifts. Rob Paul from CelebHeights gives you his opinion on what kind of shoes or sneakers to wear with heel lifts.
My personal recommendation is to use something like a high-top converse style trainer, which gives you plenty of room for putting a decent sized lift inside them and boosting your height up 1.5-2 inches, making you look noticeably taller.
Many actors over the years have worn shoe lifts in films and TV to enhance their height, making them appear taller than they really are. Хобби
i tried it in boots and hit my head on my door
Me too..I can't even go through the door without hitting my head
I'm going back to school for state testing I haven't been to school since the start of the pandemic, even though im taller now, and in the 30th percentile, I want to be lifted 2inches to get to the 70th percentile.
then you don't need shoe lifts if you hitting your head on the door.
Same here.. getting a bit sick of ducking under doorways all the time
Once you start wearing lifts you can never go back. Proceed with caution.
You know what... Women have push up bras, makeup, shapewear and butt pads. I'll take my lifts fuck it
Is lifts damage your feet?
@@diamondhands3671 They will alter your posture. But what I meant was once you start giving people the impression you're two inches taller than you really are, people may notice when you stop wearing them and consider you dishonest and insecure. For example, what if you're asked to remove your shoes some day?
Rich P. Yes thats true.. i will look like a clown.. i just wanted to go 187 to 190 :/ i think i will just prefer bigger shoese
@@diamondhands3671 Perhaps only use them on special occasions. You don't want to get too used to being taller than you are, should you become reliant. Lifts will be burdensome. All in my opinion.
Never knew about shoelifts. Thanks for making this video.
That vid help me a lot thx man really apreciate that
I use the Birmingham brand off of Amazon. Even though I don't need them for height (6' 1 1/8" barefoot) with me weighing 254lbs the cushion they provide is wonderful. I'm missing meniscus in one knee and have six screws and two plates in an ankle on the opposite leg..
Do the birmingham brand insoles give you the inches advertised? And are they long lasting?
So I don’t need to size up to fit my 1 inch lift in converse
If my sneakers 6 uk...which size should i take for 4 layer shoe lifts?
Do you think the Nike Air Max 720 Saturns could work with shoe lifts?
Rob, I'm size 10 US in Converse, do I need to get a different size one to put the 1.75" lifts and still be comfortable?
I wore these 1-2" style lifts for years in footwear. Frankly uncomfortable and I just can't do it anymore. I now opt for footwear that already has a decent heel of at least 3cm and then add a small 1.5cm cork lift inside.
JamesDelta is it conftable to use a 2.0-1.5
give some examples
Very true. I have a mid top sneaker woth lifts in it for very rare occasions. Gives like 4.5 cm. And one another chunky athliesure style one with which gives 3.5 for casual wear.
Hi rob,can i wear my shoe lifts with air jordans that has a high shaft doesent matter the model for exemple the air jordans 1?

Rob - from your study of the subject - and - experience - what percentage of the "Old Hollywood" stars (Dean Martin, Humphrey Bogart, Elvis, Sinatra, Robert Taylor, Robert Wagner, Spencer Tracey, etc) would you estimate actually wore shoe lifts? And how often did they wear them (always, just in movies, or just in public outings)? Finally, do you think that wearing lifts is at all common outside of the entertainment business (Corporate image enhancements, self-esteem issues, etc)? OK, final final question - if you could have chosen your own height - what would it have been?
A funny story..Kirk Douglas..at 5'9" and 6'4" John Wayne were doing a movie together. Big John found Kirk's lifts and hid them...Kirk was not amused...lol
I'm about 6'1 and just tried some lifts and the boost in height is quite noticeable for me. I feel so much taller. I have a slight scoliosis in my lumbar back, which causes a pelvic tilt where the left side of my hip is about an inch higher than the right. I actually should be about 6'2 if my spine and pelvis were straight. I may just wear them on the lower side so my pelvis is balanced out, but it's kinda fun walking around feeling like I'm 6'3 lol.
Face Pull exercise can help you
I cant imagine my 6'4 friend wearing that
Go to a chiropractor and ure good...

@@John-on3wt Do you have a girlfriend, mate? I'm 6'1 myself and just ordered those height insoles in order to stand out or even have a chance in dating market. Nike tanjuns are able to fit the standard shoe lift with one additional section, you can add two additional sections, but you’ll have to wear pants and you won’t be able to run.
@@appelscha23 I’m 5’9 and they make me just under 5’11. Actual elevator shoes are your best bet if you wanna add 2+ inches

I’ve tried this shoe lifts on multiple types of shoes. If you wants something wear it would be noticeable and fits, the best shoes are chunky trainers or sneakers. I’ve been doin it for almost a year and i could fit Atleast 2 to 3 layers depending on the “chunkiness” of the trainers. Just go with socks that match their color so it wouldn’t be as noticeable.
DaveChiltern I’ve tried through the big brands like adidas nike which was an expensive experiment lol. But i found there are cheap chunky sneakers that are great from bershka and umbro. There are also brands that purposely makes you taller. They’re elevated but they give the illusion that they’re not, so it wouldn’t be noticeable. Right now i rock umbro ”arp runners”. They already give you over 4cm(1.5-2in) increase and with elevated insoles, it would be a total of atleast 7-9cm(3-3.5in) increase

Where can i buy this?
Hi Rob is it possible that some of the people (Even the taller guys over 6ft) you met already inserted lift on their shoes? I meant an inch lift won't be detectable right? But it still boost their true height a little but noticeable regardless especially under measurement tape when even 1CM seem so wide of a gap.
I can almost guarantee some of the celebs Rob met have either lifts in their shoes or custom made shoes that already come with a little lift but is too subtle too detect.
Especially the height aware celebs. I can almost guarantee it, if gebetal public is starting to do it. Hollywood (where actors are known to often want to boost their heights) are DEF doing it. Just can't say for sure which celebs are doing it or and how frequent.
I can almost guarantee Vin Deisel be wearing them lifts though haha. Ever see barefoot pics of him??? Those are the not proportions of a 182cm guy lmao. I got him at like 178 tops!l, if im being generous lol.

I fit the 1.75in lifts in my new high tops and I feel huge, kinda sucks when I take them off after a long day of feeling extra tall, I feel really short then even though I’m not, I’m also thinking about future consequences when I’ll have to meet people with thinner footwear or without at all, I got too greedy lol should’ve been modest with 0.75-1in lifts. Rob, since you are not a liftwearer you probably don’t know about the long-term side effects of lift-wearing, some of my calf muscles get really stiff from time to time.

Interestingly I've been guessed at between 6'5 and 6'6 (196 and 197cm) a few times lately even though I maintain a perfect posture and am 203-204 in large lifts and thicker sneakers. Either people are really bad at guessing or 200+s do have very different proportions.

@@velvy3784 Why would you wear lifts?
I've used shoe lifts for a while and somehow they don't give me as much height boost as before, how is that possible?
I feel like I've lost like 2cm not mm.
The inappropriate posture from lifts is probably putting pressure on your knee and spine cartilages. Over time this gets degraded and you lose inches of your actual height. This is why old people get shorter as they age. You are just speeding up the process by constantly wearing lifts.
@@user-mu1lz3qd5q I Have Scoliosis, so That's why i'm shorter than I would actually be
After constant use the insoles shrink a bit (they are usually made of silicone), or either you got used to the height lifts give you and you don't feel "suddenly taller" , giving you this impression.
