Typical GM Piece of Crap! (2003 S10 Wiper Arm Failure)

The title of this video is a joke. There are things to love and hate about every car maker. Please consider that before flaming, m'kay?
So I went to turn on my windshield wipers the other day and what did I find? The driver's side wiper arm was struggling mightily to work at all. This video shows what went wrong and how I fixed it. Our "new" Volvo has the same problem. I was surprised by how fine and shallow the splines on the drive shaft and in the wiper arm really were.
Funny thing is, I've never abused the windshield wipers too much. Well, there was the one time I covered my windshield in Post-Its. ;-)
