    In my wipers the splines have cylindrical shape. So i am thinking to add between wiper hole and splines to add a tiny piece of soldering lead. And of course a little bit of loctite. That's why for few days now from drivers side wiper doesn't clean the water well!
    Really nice repair!

    I just picked up a driver's side arm for a 2016 escape. The motor's splines are OK, but the arm's splines are a wreck. The new arm has no matching splines inside of the hole. It's smooth! Is that right?

    • @grandam
      @grandam Год назад

      No. The arm and motor must have good splines to mesh together to grip like on gear wheels. If it's smooth, it's going to slip and not move.

    Good repair good video but it pains me to watch wipers on a dry windshield because all that will do is scratch. It should’ve put spray water on before running the wiper.

    I am going to try J B Weld on my wiper , just seems more permanent than loc tite

    • @patriotmaine1851
      @patriotmaine1851 Год назад

      Hey bro how did that work? The JB weld?

    • @grandam
      @grandam Год назад

      You don't want it permanent. If you ever need a windshield, those arms have to be removed out of the way. Then you'll have bigger problems when they literally have to be broken off.
