I just love watching your videos. You both have such a calm and pleasant demeanor, and the sailing reminds me of my youth. Thanks!
Where you go on a 30 footer is amazing sailors in the truest sense of the word
It's impossible not to smile while watching this channel.
I catch myself smiling too.
One of the best episodes yet. All the scenes under sail--just magnificent! I'd swear I felt the spray on my face.
As good as it gets, and some fresh fish to make your bellies happy 🙂
The onlyRUclips channel I go full screen on. X
One hell of a couple you guys, but to be honest Pascy you are one gorgeous woman. Troy you are one lucky man so do not take her for granted. Much Love to you both. your adventures and personality makes me happy to watch you sail.
Brave. Modest. Fun. I love this channel.
Thank you. You do bring broad smiles, the joy of sailing & dreams of time at sea to our lives. What a pleasure to enviously enjoy these snapshots you share. Thanks again.
A Sashimi meal is like pouring energy and well being into your body. Great episode, thank you for all the effort involved in bringing it!
Anchor down, always a good moment. Bless you both. Bob Jarrard USA
As always - you two make it look both like hard work and a massive joy. A pleasure.
Nothing better in lockdown in SE QLD than watching this episode of Free Range Sailing. The Shearwaters surf better than I do at 70. Great Episode and watching the resident chef create, especially the yogurt. I can see a cook book in the wind for 'Pasci'
Y'all and the boat are looking wonderful. Stay safe my friends ❤👍
I love this channel. Amazing camera work and aesthetic choices. What a beautiful part of the world. Kudos to you two for doing what most people are too afraid to do.
It's always interesting to see a tidy ship while underway. Many cruisers let their interiors become a mess! You two don't. You've a special, beautiful mate young man! You're a lucky guy.
Lovely to see such a well balanced vessel Troy, gives a warm feeling and smile on the face 😊.....maybe its just me ! ⛵👍
Been watching this pair for a bit now...and am keen to the boat but these 2 caught my attention for their sailing acumen and knowledge on setup/rigging. Willingness to sail in any water or wind, and for that for me #1 of the many RUclips sailors.
Glad you are back sailing.
I have been making chia pudding for about 6 months.... but your extra ingredients sound yummo
Channels goodwill towards you wonderful people.
Great video, I’m surprised there are still so many uncharted waters in the 21st century, with all the technology that’s around. Love you two take care.
What a great mate Pascale is.....Troy, you lucky Aussie!!
He’d Be Living on cans of Soup without her.
You two are the number one RUclips sailors. No doubts …from Puerto Rico.
How is the sailing life in Puerto Rico ? I hear the weather is excellent and slip rents are inexpensive ?
@@solosailorsv8065 sailing at Puerto Rico is great. Specially out of the huracán season. January -June and November -December. There are very good hurricane holes with very good protección. That including the virgin island. Marinas are relative affordable.
Our last boat was a 30ft Crowther Trimaran and we nearly named it Shearwater because it’s shape reminded us of the birds we love too. In the end we went with Touchwood, because as you know, an old timber boat always gives you reason to hope nothing will go wrong 😂
Thanks Troy and Pascal always a pleasure watching a part of your adventurous life on the high seas, still admiring the good looks of the refitted yacht, surfing birds 😀
Thank you. Don't know much about sailing but it's fun to pretend. I have owned 2 motor boats which our family loved. Again, thank you for sharing your adventures
I must said your boat has never looked better.
You are living a life I could live. Very nice.
Well done guys, not the first time around australia, but most of those dudes who did it before you had big $$$ behind them. I have appreciated your achievements - cannot wait for your next adventure
Going well beautiful part of the world looks nippy though keep safe you guys
Love this channel, and that part where Troy had a bit of a senior moment had me laughing hard, your not alone with those mate .. cheers
Another top video!!! Great footage of the Shearwaters. Regards
Since the the word was not uttered once during the eatery parts of this video, I shall have to say it myself, “yum” 😊👍
I can be shitty as from my day, before I watch one of your videos, almost to the point where I think I should save it for later because I'm not going to enjoy it. 2mins in and I'm free as one of your totems. By the end, I don't even remember my day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful vids :)
You're trying to get us all choked up my friend?
What a super episode! You are my heros...
Hey there, thanks for the "Taking on the Bight Saga", nice going! I LOVE your dodger mounted(bearing?) compass - what make and model please? Our baby is a 1959 Bill Tripp sloop, which we've totally rebuilt over the past 20 years, so good on ya mateys for all your care for Mirool...it IS a labour of love!
I'm loving all the beautiful B-roll. Thank you guys.
Pascale, you're a bloody genius... Just wack out some yogurt, and an ice cream look alike. oh yeah, and we'll just finish that off with some sushi-mi... By comparison, I'm just slumming it on my boat... The thing I adore about this channel, is that Troy and Pascale have more fun, are more adventurous, and go further, in a price range that would equate to the tender of a super yacht. You reinforce how beautiful life can be without being Kerry Packer. I wonder how many people picked up the "No wind-gin" comment of Troys'. Made me laugh...
We love your videos especially the ones where you were catching fish. You guys are the best we really like your channel.
Glad you like them. So much more fishing coming your way. The bountiful West Australian waters!
How do you have a comment that's 2 days old when the video has only been up for a hour?

We offer our videos a week early for the people who fund the whole shebang. We would have stopped 3 years ago except for them.
I'd like to support you guys and look good doing it by wearing a awesome Free Range Sailing hoody 😁
Another fantastic Friday morning here in Oman☀️.. . I look forward to every episode. Thanks guys. Fair winds and calm seas
I'm now a shearwater fan. Watching them surf was amazing! Great footage and awesome video!
You two are an absolute joy to watch. My wife and I are still about 8 years out from retirement and being able to cast the lines on our own adventures. Until then we will live vicariously through you. Sending love from the other Melbourne (Florida).
Hi from the bigger and much colder Melbourne down under!
Had a tough day. Finding new episode and kinda hanging with you was a bit of a godsend, really.
Thx
Drew
Thankyou enjoy your videos ,have only been on board since Tassie, loved the comment “6.2 knots…madness”.we sail in sheltered waters on our Sonata7,you make it very attractive to venture further(not necessarily with this boat).Stay safe
Super vid, all the wildlife were filmed beautifully, great music selection makes such a difference. Loved watching Pasci cooking up, making food in the middle of nowhere that most can't make on land, including me! 👍😁 Lets just say that when I want true sailing adventure, it is Free Range🌊
My favorite way of eating the herring is head and gut. Then scale in a bucket of water. Then straight into a hot oily saucepan. the skin goes nice and crispy and you can peel away the meat from the frame. It wastes just about no meat and is super tasty. Plus you don't have to bother filleting such a small fish.
I was following you everyday on this journey. This area look like the most interesting anchorages and I couldn't wait to see the video. It did not disappoint. It's a shame you couldn't spend more time in this area. It reminded me on Newfoundland. Great video. It had a little of everything. You have mastered this art.
Thanks Bob and yes, some parts there did feel like we'd been lifted out of Australia. Parts of Tasmania had the same feel. I'd hate to see it in hard weather.
Another brilliant episode, thank you so much.
Thanks, just discovered your channel and have been enjoying the Kimberley's episodes, and many other episodes, including cooking and boat refit episodes
Boat looks awesome, an absolutely beautiful refit. Safe seas
GREAT Stuff.....NOT Long and you will be HOME THANKS for Sharing
Love a good sail
Perfect timing, I'm just in the mood for a "free Range" fix! 😊
They are great... If I was single I would marry either of them lol...Best channel on RUclips for sailing. I could and have watched all day.
This looks like somebody being qualified to be included in the Viking club, both of u. All the best from Norway!
This channel is simply outstanding. You two compliment each other very well. Bravo.
I really enjoy the catch and prepare type videos. Going to get something to eat now.
It’s great to see you guys sailing again!!!👍
I still marvel that you've only a bit more than 100K subs. The content and editing should get you half a million or better, imho. Fair winds and following seas!
More bikini thumbnails is the secret to that but Pascy won't let me wear them.
@@FreeRangeLiving lmao
What a life, well done to the go getters of this world, beautiful memories❤️👍
Loving these Recherche Archipelago vids. Reliving my childhood sailing around these beautiful islands, growing up on a new land farm at Esperance. Can’t wait to get our own boat down there this summer.
just commenting before I even watch: totally love you guys. found you earlier this year and watched from the beginning. Keep it up!
Thanks for sharing your adventures 👍

Looks like the two of you are heros to the local sea birds! Love your channel.
The boat looks so good, well done, love watching your great videos.
Some of my best sushi meals were eaten on deck, fish not half an hour out of the water, fresh lime and a little wasabi and soy. Yum!
Recipe tip: If your tuna / bonito species isn't 'perfect' for eating as sashimi, make 'poke' (pronounced 'pokey'). Cut the fish into cubes and steep in a mix of about 70% soy sauce and 30% sesame oil. Toss in a little fresh chili if you have it or dried chili flakes if not. Add some shallots or diced red onion for taste and volume, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for looks. Chill for a bit if the fish wasn't that cold to start with and enjoy. Really good over rice. Best served with a dry, cold beer.
so happy to see the bait jigs in use another great vid
They paid their passage here and Tassie.
Awesome shearwater footage! They are such amazing birds - much like you two!
They make for very good company when the rest of your environment seems a little menacing.
Great video, great food, what else would you expect but a Great Time watching you there enjoying it !!!
have a great day
Wonderful videos...Thank you. Cinematography was great too.
Good show.
The bird footage was mesmerising those tricky barefoot skiers are so cool. Who knew?
Also a good showcase of the full refit. Looking very flash, Mirool.
Always good !!
Wonderful episode!
Boat looks awesome, well done
I’m looking for my first sail boat, really enjoy watching you guys sail your boat.
So close to home. What are you guys going to do after you finish this lap. Go again i hope. Its been awesome watching you from the start.
you gyms are awesome exceptional vid
Great to see you back in the spirit of adventure Troy and Pascale. Really beautiful and the food oh so yum. Godspeed my friends.
The bonito we catch here in Florida have a metallic taste that stays in the mouth. They make good strip or cut bait though.
It is often left on the beach here in Oz as well or used as bait.
Bleeding well is key or these guys also go B-grade
Awesome 👏
Aye, those Shearwaters are magnificent! 🐟
This is the Best Free Range reality out there! You 2 are absolutely Great! At some point you 2 are going to be home, ?... Is there going to be a sequel to this journey? And if, to where? Our Best to both of you! Good luck and stay safe out there!
Paul & Lisa
Its great to watch real sailors!!!

I look forward to seeing a vid is posted!! I want to make yogurt gotta get your recipe.. or just how to!! I so enjoyed watching as always!! ✌🏻💗😊❣️ ✌🏻💗😊❣️
So much to say but those birds that P shot were f-en awesome so flipping cool to watch.
Great speeds. Mirool looks fantastic!! Beers n cheers 🍷🍷👍👍👍
Wonderful stuff !
That sushi looks delicious… that in itself is a good reason to go sailing!
I guess I'm a shearwater too. I get hungry when you're catching fish...🤣
Thanks for the video! Cheers from Guam! 🇬🇺
I'm hungry for more free range sailing. Another great video.
you guys are great!!
Love your work.
Nice video! I've been thinking about dragging my trailer sailor down to Esperance
Thank you.
True adventurers in every way. Thanks for recording this incredible planet in exquisite detail, always much appreciated. You deserve awards for your filming! Off to try and replicate that Matcha pudding as I seem to have all the ingredients 😀
First time watcher, love your channel. You might want to try a commercial hand line set up. No need to slow the boat, just pull them up and on board. Off baja we pulled in 4' mahi and 30# yellowfin this way. Rubber bungy, 100' of 300# tuna line to a skipping bird, then 10' of 200# test mono to a big mexican flag colored tuna lure.
Troy, seeing the green tea pudding: What is THAT?
Us: He gets it.
sorry for giving you guys food envy. Recipe will feature in upcoming cookbook - stay tuned, I will post a draft copy on the Patreon page once I get round to finishing it.
