- Snowing in Southern California. Very rare weather for California. This is Burbank, CA, city near Los Angeles. 02/26/11. Sensational weather, usually it never snows in Los Angeles, but today it happened.
looks like the gta 5 christmas DLC
I had a dream a couple nights ago where Los Angeles got 2 - 3 feet of snow
***** Not everywhere in California is warm!!!!!
There have been records of snow in Los Angeles. It's just extremely rare. Last time it happened was the 1940s or so
+Sunrise Films that's not true. The top of mount Whitney (4418m) is SUPER cold. But I understand this because they are only at 250m.
@@FILMJAEGER unless you want constant fires but sure..
FILM JAEGER there’s something called The Sierra Nevada Mountains.. so California will never be hot. They’re like 14000 feet in the air so it always snows
I live in Palmdale you guys should see all the snow we get up here 2 years ago it snowed heavy out here and we got like almost 20 inches of snow but it was only 16-17 inches of snow
Wow.I lived in Burbank for a year.It never snowed for us.Just rained.
wow... nice
So much fun Snow in Burbank
Who would have thought
@DogExpert1 I rememeber the day not being freezing cold and it happend around February this year for like 2o minutes and then stopped. Some parts of the city it was snowing other parts it was hailing, raining or sunny.
Lucky :(
I live near Downtown Los Angeles..
Wish i lived in Burbank..
I remember that day. Was lots of fun!
COOL !
wow the same day it snowed in Naples (Italy) too....what the coincidence :D
BY FROM ITALY
Ciaooo
@DogExpert1 I got no idea i woke up and saw snow and to excited to notice how cold it was.
lucky!
i live in the central coast of california,
and we never get real snow here, just hail
Thanks for posting. I remember waking up, some decades ago, to very light snow (rather than just frost) on our back lawn in Burbank. This looks a bit heavier.
Look up snow blizzard of 1949 Los angeles
almost sprained my ankle that day walking from castaway
It's a mix of snow and sleet or graupel.
lol nice track, good vid
I wish snow was rare weather where I live. I hate snow so much.
Was there very many car accidents that day?
cool
wow and i live in Van nuys....
1:35 you can clearly see it's Graupel... Just saying. But Like I said.. it still looks very very cool.
I have a feeling this may happen again this year or the beginning of 2016 jan or feb. this time back in 2014 it was warm even in winter, the lows never really dipped down below 60. I live in Montebello and lately the night lows are hitting between 39-45 degrees. Cities closer to the foothills Pasadena, Altadena, Monrovia are even colder.
I've seen it hail for more than 20 minutes several times... Up at Owens Dry Lake, Palmdale, and several times in Frazier Park.
That's some sort of funky hail stuff. Not snow. It did that in Westchester when I was a kid. 90045.
I moved to L.A three weeks after this happened. I wish I had been in L.A when this was happening. That is amazing.
It looks like snow.. probably felt like snow.. but it was actually Graupel, which is small hail... still looked very cool.
Doesn't look like many people know to slow down when driving in the snow.
It's California, it only snows every 50-100 years
At least in the LA area
dank1280 I agree I seen people drive better in places that get snow all the time and that is even with the fact LA rarely gets snow
I'm from Calgary, today we are expected to get snow. Well of course I'm in Canada. It's April 4th 2012. It can snow right to summer if it wanted too, last year was our hottest weather ever because every year for the last 10, rain, chilly cold weather and the odd snow storm in July. I can see Mother nature screwed up again, she needs to get her act together, eh? LOL
@m3lbourn3OwnSydney No man it was not fake. I was lucky to see it was snowing in Burbank, CA. Don't believe it just search for snowing in burbank 02/26/11 on google or youtube and you can see not only me recorded snowing in Burbank.
I live about 4 miles from Burbank,Ca. This was definitely, snow mixed in with some sleet.Very rare, first snow in 60 years.
Are you sure it hails that long
Looks like Santiago in June.
I live in the basin here in LA.. and I've only seen it hail for less than 2 haha... 3-5 minutes is good though.. I guess it hails more in those areas up north as their higher in elevation..
LOVE THIS!!!!
zr? zero chance. You can clearly see discrete flakes. It's snow mixed with another frozen pcpn type.
THANK YOU ALL FOR COMMENTS. LET'S HOPE THIS IS A GOOD SIGN FOR THIS YEAR! .
3 years ago..Wow
3 years ago from this comment... Wow
Very Pleasant!
OMG I ALMOST SHIT MY PANTS YESTERDAY WHEN IT WAS SNOWING FUKIN CRAZY
Everytime I see these things it makes me think of that movie The Ultimate Christmas Present where girls steal that either machine causing a snowstorm in L.A. Wonder if someone actually did that here.
MIKECNW or drake and josh when they make snow by themselves for that orphanage girl
@m3lbourn3OwnSydney actually it was real snow i was there it was lik rain n then snow fr a bit then rai again n stuff but it was ACTUAL snow
such a beautiful day :')
Wish we get snow in LA this year like denver
Aww I live there but more around inglewood
IT LITERALLY JUST SNOWED LAST NIGHT HERE IN LA
+Kacey Pineda Where in LA? I live in pasadena, it never gets below 60.
+Lord Shrek im not exactly sure but around studio city/ sherman oaks. but gor sure it got hail there
Damn son.
+Lord Shrek pasadena gets really cold during the winters. Lately its been a high of 60 and a nighttime low of 39-35 degrees. I think it hailed there hard back in 2011
Usually what i'd expect with winter weather, but the weather has been really on and off. Today the high was 71, but a few days ago, the high was 58.
Wtf I was in school then it never happened??
cool hah usually where i live it hails for a good 3-5 minutes
this is graupel, not snow. .
Beautiful in my own city 😭
Government put snow kem stricks in the air
ITS A SIGN OF GOD THAT THERE CAN BE SNOW IN LA P.S pray for more this year
@DogExpert1 2011* :P
it looks like garupel
Yeah, it was a wet snow. I live 1000 feet above Burbank, and the snow was finer, about 2-3 inches, and "stuck" for almost 2 days.
What the name of this song???
"Let it Snow"
But who sing?
Tais Alves dean martin
Michael Bublé - Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
it was hail I was in school
يويلي قلبي على لوس انجلوس
يوسف محمد الشراري يوسف محمد الشراري yea right it's awesome
somepeople need to learn some basic life knowledge here. Such as the difference from snow and hail. This video clearly shows snow because of the large, white, fluffy flakes in the air falling very slowly. This is not grauple or whatever.
lucky :/
I WAS GOING FREEKING CRAZYYYYY!!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHA I LOVED IT
omg
This is hail.
its not snow
No. It's graupel with some snow.
ᴏᴋ ᴜᴍ ɪɴ ғᴏɴᴛᴀɴᴀ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ɢᴇᴛᴛɪɴɢ 70-80 ᴅᴇɢʀᴇᴇ ᴡᴇᴀᴛʜᴇʀ sᴏᴍᴇ ʜᴏᴡ
It's SNOW...graupel falls faster and it like small hail. Learn some basic meterology before posting next time.
