Beautiful scenery and everyone needs to be patient. Chad films a lot of footage and then needs to edit it for upload. He's doing it in between his day job - I'm sure he's got winter adventures coming up. I am enjoying what he is releasing as it's ready.

Only Chad can talk about building a relationship with a Van and get that to make sense and sound genuine. What a legend. You’ve provided me with so much inspiration, Chad. My RUclips channel only started and exists because of you. THANK YOU!!! Keep on trucking! ✌🏼
Lol! When you build so much of your life with them they just do somehow become an entity, right?! Thanks for the kind words, Drive Surf Camp. Good luck to you!
Not only some of the very best filmmaking on RUclips, but inspirational content that for over 2 years now has been helping me to find a love of the outdoors. Keep doing what you're doing, Chad.
I love that through you, I can see places like this. I have lived 67 years and only seen a small part of this country I live in. Thank you for letting me see the beautiful that you show on these videos.
Chad, thank you for your great video! My wife and I watched it together and we decide to live the rest of of our life this way once our kids go to college. It's not far away.
Hey Chad, I'm sure you won't see this message as I am re-watching this video and wanted to say, "Thanks!" Your videos fill me with such peace through seeing all of the wondrous scenery that I continue to be in awe of. I never traveled growing up and I have recently been doing so in my "neck of the woods'. Can't wait to get out and see half of the places you have shared with us. Really enjoy the cooking scenes too. Take care!
There is not one video that you have produced that doesn't take my breath away in amazement at the scenery in your view. AMAZING!! Thanks for taking me somewhere far away from here and to be able to enjoy the beauty of nature is such a joy.
The light emitted from the campfire illuminates the camper while the sun illuminates the horizon and sky. This right here, is an iconic camping image. This scene at marker 15.10 will eventually be snatched and exploited. It will eventually be seen on the tag of some backpacking product. Kudos to you for discovering it.
Hi Chad ! This is my first time commenting a youtube channel ! I have watched a lot of your videos. and you really capture nature so well. the light-the greatness-the silence. Got 3 favorits. onion creek, the white rimm and the grand Teton in winter. Absolutly outstanding! Living in Norway it is also great to see so much fantastic nature from US. Keep on making these awsome videos!!! All the best.
Hello Lissa, and thank you for the comment. I really appreciate your kind words and am really glad that you are enjoying the content. I really enjoy being able to capture these experiences in a way that allows you all from around the world the join the adventure with me. Cheers!
So relaxing to watch this video, and I'm only about 15 mins in. I often wonder what is going through your thoughts, as you sit there in front of the fire. I think instead, of the thoughts that I would have. This life, we each have, we all have, is so individual to all of us - but here I am connected like watching a dream, a lifestyle so different to my own. I contemplate, and appreciate, and thank you for sharing all that you do. Wishing you well Chad.
You never fail to impress! Majestic views, simply amazing. Of course your gourmet meal also impressive. Thanks for what you do, taking me through the beauty of nature in a calm and peaceful environment. Drama free the way to be. Stay safe 💕
I am sitting in my comfy chair with the outside temperature at -35 C (I'm in Alberta, Canada) watching your video, and sipping on a glass of Lagavulin 16-Year-Old Scotch whiskey. I'm listening to the crackle of your fire and the music in the background. It felt like I was right there with you enjoying the free-spirited adventures. I really appreciate the time you take to shoot and edit your videos Chad, and I always look forward to watching whenever I see the notification. Thank you, brother!
Hello, Ian, in the Great White North! Nothing like a good glass of Scotch to warm your toes, enjoy! And thanks so much for joining me on the adventure, glad to have you onboard-
Hi Chad I have been watching you on RUclips some of your stuff a year ago and even two years ago. I lost my husband around a year ago so I'm trying to continue my life I have been interested in tiny houses schoolies and so on I bought a small teardrop vintage camper just so I can get the feel of it. You are so inspiring I love how you make the best meals ever in the snow even. I watched you make a spaghetti sauce meal in the snow you had to finish the noodles in the van because the weather got so bad but your pasta looks so good I had to get up off the couch and go make a small batch of spaghetti sauce it was nothing like yours I just had to have some. I love the fact that you make these wonderful meals while camping in all kinds of conditions and it keeps me coming back to you watch your videos it also shows us what we could do. I appreciate you. Sincerely Linda gunterman
Awesome scenery and again amazing edit Chad! Drone videos really show the best part of the Van Life - being able to experience best of what nature has to offer, and it changes constantly as you drive further. Thank you for enabling us to witness this beauty with you!
Hi Chad my 10yr old boy and me have been following your channel for a while now and love what you do .. we've been living the van life for about 8 years now ... I home school my boy on the road and we would not have it any different. Nature guides our journey and adventures. We find you truly inspiring and often talk about setting up our own home schooling living the van life journey channel. Ha ..maybe we'll do it one day soon. Love and peace there Bro
The narrative sitting on the bluff was very nice. I'm 70 now but I did live Van Life on the weekends for many years before Van Life was cool lol Mine were DIY, most built with my kids. Now those times are their favorite memories. Mine too. This was an awesome video! My son is also a Chad, it's a name with strong character 🙂
I almost never comment on RUclips videos, but your videos always make me forget about all my worries, and just leave me with a smile on my face. Absolutely incredible work on the filming and editing as usual, thank you for what you do.
Loved this one, from the amazing start to the finish. Definitely in my top 10 of LTVL videos. The drone footage, the music selection, the fireside time, all of it just great. And for a moment, I imagined myself out on that rim ledge with you building the fire. I do envy you, my friend. Amazing work. As someone has already commented, your creativity in doing these videos is 2nd to none. Thank you for sharing it with us.
The scenery and the song at the beginning, I can't get past that! I repeated it maybe 4 times now and still enjoy it! what a beautiful creation both video creation and nature. Thanks Chad, you really give our lives pretty colors.

I found your channel 5 years ago through owning my own t3 westfalia, which I've now also just retired to the garage and bought a new vw t6.1 this year and I'm in the process of building it out. I know exactly how difficult it can be keeping the old vw's on the road and they can tend to let you down when you really want to go on a trip. Hence why I upgrade and chad did to. But the old westys will always be in our hearts. Keep on trucking man!!
Hello Rory! Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. I share very much the same sentiments as you on the older VW's. It just comes down to a time where you need a more modern vehicle. Glad to have you onboard on the channel for so many years. Keep on truckin!
It's been a while since I caught one of your episodes, so good to be back. I can't wait to be out in my van exploring the UK and Europe this year (COVID dependant). keep the great content coming, your inspirational on these cold wet UK nights
I was holding back on this comment for awhile because I know it won't be liked. But after seeing it done twice in this video put me over the top. We know you know how to build a fire. It doesn't need this much video time every video. It's just wasted time. And your subs have spoken!! We want snow!!!

Sit down and feel relaxed when preparing the fire, it's not waste of time, it's tranquilizing. But i Wonder where he gets the fire wood from.... Regards Rickard from Sweden 🇸🇪
You're entitled to your opinion, and you're wrong I believe. Because you said we, and you certainly don't speak for me. Chad's videos have a vibe. A form of symmetry. I know how he builds his fire, but it still is welcome and relaxing to see everytime. Because I know it's going to Segway into a wonderful piece of cooking, or relaxation by the fire while he gives some of his insights. The amount of entitlement in your comment reaches legendary levels. Chad makes beautiful videos, and you get to watch for free. He owes you nothing. I hope he doesn't take your comment to heart. It is a comment that can only dishearten, not inspire.
Are you going to watch me build a fire if it's in the snow? It is actually my favorite thing to do while camping - the building of a fire. It's one thing I enjoy about filming these episodes and it’s very satisfying editing the fire scenes together as well. I wasn’t actually trying to educate anyone that I know how to build a fire. You know that I know how to drive a van as well, but yet every video features me driving a van thru the scenes. Everyone loves to have fire while out camping. It's one aspect of these adventures that people can relate to. So, as I work hard to capture the essence of what it’s like to be out on these camping experiences and bring it home to people enjoying these videos from their living rooms, the fire building is important part of the whole experience. You'll get snow when I feel like showing you snow. And I will make sure you know I know how to build a fire in the snow as well.
So much time to do this right. Camera angles...the lighting...the audio...the drone footage...getting out of the van to set up cameras...picking them up...scenic destinations...the driving....the cooking etc etc... Well done Chad! We appreciate and see the details dude!!
That is a really awesome comment. Honestly, thank you for taking the time to comment your thoughts and appreciation for the content on this channel. You are right. It is a LOT of work. I dedicate a very large portion of my life to doing all of this.
These videos give me life. I have been home bound for a few years and have not gone any further than my neighbored in months, but, every time I watch your videos, I feel like I am getting out and seeing the world. Thank you for everything you do! I can not wait for the winter/snow content!
Hi Chad, I'm here to tell ya, at 33:39 you had a heart symbol in your sauce!! That's considered an "Angel" sign. Aside, from that thanks for leaving me speechless!!
Well Chad you've converted me been watching your videos for almost 2 years now I'm 64 & bought a new vw transporter 4 motion having it converted in Austria at the moment .Hopefully will be done end of March full off grid solar panels etc. can't wait .I'll be up in the alps in the winter skiing ,after ski season off to Bulgaria to do my Paragliding .Then off to the Greek Islands to find my own personal beach. Thanks Chad watch a couple of other van life people but,Your more what I want to get up to,
Wow! Now those are some travels there! Good luck, Gold Geezer! Sounds like you'll be sporting it all in style. Happy Trails! And thanks for supporting the channel- Cheers!
Chad, I am encouraging you to keep moving. I have enjoyed watching your videos for the last few years. I have never been camping, but I am learning a lot. Great videos! 📷 You are about to reach the ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS! 🚐🥳🎈🎉🍾
I like the way you create the fires. I only wish I could do what you are doing. I've always wanted to travel and I'm living vicariously through you. Thank you for allowing this to be possible. I envy you...

Just when I didn't think you could get any better with the videos and your adventures...you're amazing...I'm like a little kid waiting for your next video...awesome job!!!!
Thank you for a wonderful video I watch your you tube video as I am fighting a battle of pancreatic cancer . Keep on trekking and do what you do best .
Wow. The places you find and the way you film them👍 Your channel is one of the ones that inspired us to travel the country this past year and see the amazing west. Thank you.
Every video I have watch is a great combination of awesome videography, amazing views, tranquil scenes, invitational and calming in equal proportion… so good, highly recommended as a channel to subscribe to
Absolutely. I think about that so much while I am out in all of those areas... what it must have been like way back so many years ago and the people who were here long before. I will say that getting to travel and explore the open lands and spend time there, has really been a great way to shift my mind and way of thinking for the better. I wish that everyone had the opportunity to experience things like that.
Sometimes after about 10 mins in I just fast forward to the cooking cuz I’m convinced he just be putting random shit together… 😂 but it’s always worth a watch.
It's about a year that I've been following you and I really enjoy your work, always waiting for a new Chad's video. So thanks for your time. Love those chilling flames
I live in north of Italy and today I bought a Knaus Boxlife 630 ME. Nothing to do with your stunning Van but for the use I’ll make of it I’m super happy 😃
I’ve been watching for a year and a half your amazing videos you kept me wondering what you were gonna cook , enjoyed the winter storms brrr I had Adrenaline at times driving during some roads where I didn’t believe you’d make it through Lol taught us so much great job Chad hope your son is well sending hugs 🫂
When others publish a 40+ minute video, I typically pass on it. But when there’s a long LTVL video out, I park myself on the couch with a glass of wine!
Hi friend! Happy New Year! Whoever waits for something good, waits not in vain. I take off my hat for you and turn on the caps lock for the quality you give in these videos. Exquisite picture quality, devilish courage in camera guidance, hours of editing and perfect music. And thank you for showing this insanely beautiful nature.
Beautiful back country with so much to take in. An area I may have never seen had you not filmed this epic adventure. Thank you Chad, another quality production.
Chad I love how the sprinter turned out..I'm a trucker and every once in a while I will see a sprinter set up similar to yours..and I ll do a double take...I love your channel and .my favorite part is when you are chopping and shaving the wood just the dry sound it makes let's me KNOW that something exciting is on its way...then you whip out the cutting board and that 1/2 moon shaped knife and then the next thing I know you are chopping up vegetables and adding dry ingredients then wet ingredients then powder then my other favorite part and I ve said it before is you won't say a word you will just show who makes the seasonings that you use..SEE YOU JUST DID IT JUST NOW WITH THE CANE SUGAR...HA HA HA
It's because of you that I went and bought a solo stove. I absolutely love it, have already burnt half a truck bed full of wood in 2 months enjoying how great it is. Just ordered a hub for it so I can use my cast iron on it to cook for the family. I'd suggest you take a look, such a great addition to the stove. Cheers!
Glad you're liking your Solo Stove, John. Yep, I just recently went back to my Solo and glad I did. Thanks for the tip! And thanks for watching! Cheers!
Chad I was born in the Philippines, I can’t say we were poor but at 6 yrs old, was already cooking by fire, and that’s exactly how we split the wood & make chips to start fire. & you must only use one match stick or else I got whacked. 😂 I just remember my old life in my youth. Crazy, I’m only 57 but life was primitively normal. I lived in NY for 20 yrs, some years here & there in USA now I at making record in Texas. 👍🏽 Great Video you produce. Keep the adventure. You keep me young.
This video is so beautiful and inspirational and educational. Omg is so cool how you got to see the place where those natives lived in the 1000's. You inspire me to do exactly what you do lol. The outdoors and backcountry is so underrated today, it's great to see someone enjoying life how it was meant to be.

Glad you liked it, Cole- Cheers!
Bro thanks for mentioning the natives!!! And explaining the history of the place!!stay blessed ❤and respect 🙏!!!!
@@LivingTheVanLife bro thanks for replying stay humble stay blessed, 🙏 💯 👌
Sometimes after about 10 mins in I just fast forward to the cooking cuz I’m convinced he just be putting random shit together… 😂 but it’s always worth a watch.
It's about a year that I've been following you and I really enjoy your work, always waiting for a new Chad's video. So thanks for your time. Love those chilling flames

Outstanding, simple as that.

Thanks Karen! Keep on truckin
You truly are getting a payoff Chad and so are the rest of us. Thanks for everything you do.
Thanks for watching Nick. Much appreciated! Keep on truckin
I live in north of Italy and today I bought a Knaus Boxlife 630 ME. Nothing to do with your stunning Van but for the use I’ll make of it I’m super happy 😃
Not only the footage but the music also rocks Chad!
Thanks Dutch!
Thanks for watching Martha!
Can't wait for some snow content
Simply the best. Great drone shots. Carry on Man.
No matter what you put on that van it will never be done. With new products and technology always coming out it will be a continuous evolution.
Absolutely! That's the fun part-
When others publish a 40+ minute video, I typically pass on it. But when there’s a long LTVL video out, I park myself on the couch with a glass of wine!
Yes! Glad you enjoy them, Henrik! Cheers!
Many, many thanks, Morten, for all the kind words! Glad you enjoy the channel and thanks for your support! Cheers!
Beautiful back country with so much to take in. An area I may have never seen had you not filmed this epic adventure. Thank you Chad, another quality production.
Thanks, Cat! Always glad to have you onboard-
Enjoyed ur video jad love watching you cook keep safe and well till next video thanks again.
The production quality is spectacular in these videos. Love the truck too.
Just when I think you have maxed out on your intro's you go up another notch. I must say, Utah suits you and opens a lot of doors for your creativity.
Thank you Daniel. I appreciate your kind words. Thanks for watching!
Hahaha! Signature shots, Lorn. Glad you enjoy the adventures! Thanks for commenting and maybe we'll shake hands on the road one day- Cheers!
@@LivingTheVanLife yeah if I see your van I will definitely try to pull over and meet you..keep up the great work.
Cheers!
We love you Chad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chad I was born in the Philippines, I can’t say we were poor but at 6 yrs old, was already cooking by fire, and that’s exactly how we split the wood & make chips to start fire. & you must only use one match stick or else I got whacked. 😂
I just remember my old life in my youth. Crazy, I’m only 57 but life was primitively normal. I lived in NY for 20 yrs, some years here & there in USA now I at making record in Texas. 👍🏽 Great Video you produce. Keep the adventure. You keep me young.
Thanks, Marilyn, for watching!
Chad, I like the way you take some time with audience just to sit around the campfire. I love that and many don't see the need for that.
Thanks for acknowledging this, Bill!
What a gorgeous sunset ❤
This video is so beautiful and inspirational and educational. Omg is so cool how you got to see the place where those natives lived in the 1000's. You inspire me to do exactly what you do lol. The outdoors and backcountry is so underrated today, it's great to see someone enjoying life how it was meant to be.
Thank you so much!
