The Tokyo Mew Mew game is just a very basic clone of the classic arcade game Space Invaders. You’re really not wrong in that you can slap any IP on it.
Love this vid! The sailor moon beat em up is making me laugh though because the other characters and sprites all look to be assets from oldschool SNK beat em up and fighting games. In the background at 18:40 you can see some King of Fighters characters just standing around lmaooo
I was a regular on the Magical Doremi forum on the 4Kids website back in 2008 or so. It was the first community I ever joined online. Lots of fond memories back then. It was the "thing" to do to have a ton of OCs and have them "follow" you around. So if I made a post on someone else's thread, I'd have my OCs running commentary on things I said. This was fun, except it meant that, eventually, every fanfic would turn into the same two people doing a long roleplay and completely bury the story, ahah. aquamewmoon and acesupreme were more dedicated to their OCs than anyone else and I salute them. I still have links to a bunch of the old fanfics we wrote back in the day and they are cringe in the absolute best way. Oh, I was winxdoremimewmewluve (what a username lmao) if anyone from back then stumbles onto this.
Loved this video! I really do love seeing girly flash media getting its retroactive day in the sun since they mostly come from an era where it was believed girls don't play video games. You also have such good humor, especially in your editing hahaha Some info that's probably not helpful but may be mildly interesting: • Kiko's Carrot Adventure is 4kids' basic flash platformer with yet another reskin (there is also a Sonic X game and a sequel featuring Shadow that are carbon copies of the game you played). It's fundamentally broken and the audio is *especially* broken lol. The timer also feels "too fast" in part because computers used to run slower so the timer on the game literally used to run slower and would allow for more reaction time and marginally easier control. The game was actually originally called "Kiko's Adventure 2", and based on the "Kiko's Adventure" game you played, I actually think there must have been multiple different games titled "Kiko's Adventure" because the one I played as a kid was *definitely* different than the one you played lol. Not sure why they did that. • A lot of flash games (especially shockwave ones) are easier to run on PCs than on Macs. I figured you would have found that out while looking for solutions for running these games on your Mac, but I just wanted to warn you that if you're not tech savvy you might want to find a PC laptop running windows 10 and not 11 (less adware and virtually no spyware). • Aside from flash, a lot of fangames of the 2000's were produced with old versions of GameMaker and hosted (at one point) on YoYoGames. They were downloadable so if the files are still hosted somewhere you may be able to find more magical girl fan games :3 • I'm not sure if it's *games* still exist, but a Sailor Moon fansite known as Super Senshi Playground is still accessible as far as I've last checked and if you're interested in old magical girl internet media it may be worth looking into :3 It is especially full of old Sailor Moon KiSS Dolls, which are the precursor to flash dress up games!
The Winx game letting you change skin color is so nice! It’s a feature most games overlook even today, and especially if it’s based on an IP with strict character designs.
Loved this video, it was nostalgic seeing the crappy pngs slapped onto random games that were barely linked to the media lol 😭Have you seen the game Infinity Nikki? It's an open world magical girl esque dress up game and I'd love if you made a video on it or streamed gameplay, especially since I've never seen such a main stream game dedicated to girls.
The Tokyo Mew Mew shooter game that is literally just space invaders 👾 Dead ass actually 👾 Space Invaders 👾 I got to wonder will there be a Kirby game and it’s just Pac-Man ? This is a prediction I don’t know yet
5:36 I used to post on the 4Kids forums back from February 2006 to around Summer 2007 before they redesigned them. It was kind of different because unlike other sites, your posts would not show up until a moderator approved them, and the swear filter was really strict (you couldn't say the word "kill" for example). It also had a reputation system where you could upvote or downvote users (someone mentioned on another forum about derepping me, so needless to say, I don't think they were a fan lol). I would love to know what some of those folks are up to these days. It was sadly so long ago I don't remember any users I interacted with by name. In general I always had a hard time making friends on forums, and I was kind of young at the time.
My favorite magical girl games growing up was both of the Fuwafuwa Panic games for Sailor Moon for the Super Famicom! You can still find them floating around the internet somewhere and just need an emulator to play them 👀
This was a refreshing watch. I remember the family computer and the hours I dedicated to flash games across all kids channels. One of my favorite flash games was one from the franchise W.I.T.C.H where you get to play as all characters at some point your flying through this abandoned castle and blasting monsters that are in the corner of the screen. I was literally just reminiscing on flash games and that I hate that I can’t play them anymore so I’m gonna check out flashpoint. Thanks for the video!
I think you probably would like to give it a try to infinity nikki, is a cross platform game, I am playing it recently and it gives so much Barbie movie vibes. Also the game is very colorful and cozy, you can dress your character anyway you want and also pet animals and many other things is very fun
Madoka Magica also had an incubator simulator flash game (playing as the "mascot animal" recruiting magical girls to fight evil... but I don't wanna spoil too much)
The one's I've played the most were the dress up games (if they count). I'd spend hours on sites like Doll Palace and Pixel Bee making original and fan characters. Now I finally have Yes PC5 GoGo DS game and its pretty fun. Definitely helped to learn Japanese before buying It's crazy how sloppy the 4kids games look now. As a kid they didn't look that bad
I LOVED playing early 2000s game on the family computer too LOL but I stayed on Disney Channel and Cartoon Network but I didn't know that 4 kids had games so this made me feel like a kid again looooove it!💕💕
ngl if im feeling nostalgic every once in a while ill look up fan made dress up games like the ones i would make my little shojousonas on as a kid... people have still been making them i guess, and it's easier than ever given modern screen resolutions and free art and editing programs. the pixie hollow dressup on dolldivine killed ❤🧚♀️
sailor moon fights is the new dark souls 💀 And you might like fields of mistria since you like animal crossing! It's a farming sim + magic + dating sim + cozy in a 90s anime art style ✨
the sailormoon fighting game for the snes is SO funny like its not just one of my favorites to revisit, but to also watch other people play because sometimes you just die out of nowhere and peoples reactions are so funny lol
@ yeah I know. They also are aimed at learning style games and mini games. I would love a pure RPG style game. Like give me a Persona style game meets Sailor Moon or something. I’ve seen Blue Reflection which is the closest but I didn’t care for it too much when I tried a demo.
My absolute fave was Sailor Moon: Another Story... They need to rerelease that. 😭 For Flash Player games specifically, I used to love this Powerpuff Girls pillow fight one!
All the nostalgia coming back. I loved that damn Space Invaders Mew Mew Power game. While not a magical girl i remember playing the Spider Riders game on WB for years. I really wish more shows got games for consoles. Robot Frenzy was a name i never thought id hear again. I love the Arcade game that the Sailor Moon fighter character is from. If you've never played it i highly suggest it.
YESSS 4kids gamers rise up!! I was on that site like constantly to play the bare bones flash games on there!! The one that sticks out to me the most is actually a doremi one that might have been after 2005 since it wasn’t on the archive page. It was a super basic catching game where you collected spell drops to fill the wands but being a #godgamer I always got to the end and upgraded to the kurupolon and went nuts bc that was and still is my favorite wand from doremi lol
We collectively took that whole era for granted. I remember going on the computer afterschool and playing magical girl flash games and dress up games. Simpler times 🥲🩷
I don’t know if you know this, but there is another Sailor Moon flash game, titled “Sailor Senshi Maker” with its latest version being “3.0”. It is a dress up game where you can freely create your favorite characters, not just girls to create Sailor Senshi but also boys. Compared to other Sailor Moon dress up flash games, I would say that this one has the most creativity
The Winx Club game I remember playing was Attack on Magix (I think that’s it, I forgot the name). You had to time your attacks and I had such poor reaction speed so I always fumbled. Sorry, Winx Club I let you down 😔
I absolutely love Ojamajo Doremi. My favorite was the Spell Drop game. You had to catch the spell drops in a hat to perform Perfect Harmony. Sadly the video at the end more than often didn't play. But it was still fun. Please tell me where you got that Rythm tap plushy!!! >.< tis so cute
I think there were more Winx games on the official website than the 4Kids one because I distinctly remember there was a pokemon-esque strategy game that went loosely through the events of the first season of the game and you had to pick which winx girl you wanted to fight with (with some being more effective against certain enemies and bosses than others) and then click the power bar at the right moment to ensure her attacks were at their strongest while also making sure to manage her health so she didn't get KO'd - and that game was my favourite.
Do you have a PlayStation 5 or a PC ? Because two days ago Infinity Nikki released It’s an open world adventure fashion game. Zelda breath of the wild puzzles But for the most part it feels like animal crossing or Stardew valley. Maybe a little Mario with A lot of Genshin impact particularly in the menus. It is indeed a gotcha game but what’s your pulling for is outfit pieces. It’s a fashion game so customization is a lot of fun Infinity Nikki is probably the closest thing we’re ever gonna get to an AAA magical girl game
I don't remember the games specifically, but I remember the Rainbow (?) Winx site had a really lovely playable section that I used to visit for art and stuff. I think it was the Italian site but I think there was also an English option? I dunno why it got so much Flash game love (not complaining, I loved Winx) but the art sure is fun. 🥰
I always found it hard to actually find any true magical girl games online. At least, hard to find any that were actually fun and engaging. Which is really sad! I think the closest I really had to finding that vibe were the Sue games.
Now I want to see someone make popular music using the Doreme music slider game What comes to my mind right now is My Favorite Things from the Sound Of Music “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things 🎶 “. But played on the music slider game
Sailor moon versus the King of Fighters I sort of do you want to know who would win in a fight Sailor Moon Or Orochi from KOF 97 Also there is a Sailor Moon beat them up game for arcades And that’s probably where the sprites are pulled from. I’ve played that pretty guardian sailor moon arcade game and it is actually really difficult. Most arcade games are difficult but pretty guardian was a little more difficult for some reason
I don’t think i’ve ever wanted to be someone’s friend this badly?? It’s so hard to find other black girls this into magical girl anime! Subscribed!
This channel is like a beautiful lil island in a world of pain and agony, nod nod.
Flash disappearing was one of the worst internet moments.
Not, related, but I'd love a video with your recommended youtube channels!
The Tokyo Mew Mew game is just a very basic clone of the classic arcade game Space Invaders. You’re really not wrong in that you can slap any IP on it.

I miss the Winx Club games esp. The wardrobe one and Flora flying through the forest were my favs ❤
Same! But ig my fav action based was attack on magix with great bg music and two attacks per character

There are some old officially licensed Sailor Moon games you can get translated for emulators. I remember playing a jrpg style one in middle school.
That was "Sailor Moon: Another Story" and unfortunately it is fan translated only (but the ROM is easy to find if you know where to look)
there are Sailor Moon Beat 'Em Ups and full on fighting games that sometimes get played at kusoge tournaments, it's amazing
Doreimani gamer????
Yeah, you could say I Game 🙄🙂↕️
Btw if you ever play other games on this channel you should definitely check out little goody two shoes

Thank you sm for making this kinda niche content, I’d love another episode of you trying out even more tbh I love this 🧚🏼♀️
6:56 this game sounds like a forbidden horror jump scare that’s about to happen in any second oh my God
Childhood nostalgia 🥹💖💕
loved playing the Sailor moon ones, but never seen the fan made ones LOL
There are many interesting ones out there 😭😂
Loved this video, it was nostalgic seeing the crappy pngs slapped onto random games that were barely linked to the media lol 😭Have you seen the game Infinity Nikki? Ooh I've seen a few friends play this!! Adding to my list of games I would/will play if only I had a PC 😔👇🏾
@@doreimani if your phone is like up to date its also on mobile!
I've been playing it and imo there's no other game like it out there first like made for feminine ppl game in decades!
Madoka Magica also had an incubator simulator flash game (playing as the "mascot animal" recruiting magical girls to fight evil... but I don't wanna spoil too much)
doreimani best magical girl youtube channel fr

Doll palace was my childhood. I made so many (in hindsight probably very awful looking) fan characters!
Seeing the Galaga clone game made me chuckle honestly, it's funny to see even back then they were making clone games of 80's arcade games
It’s like she lived all of our childhoods. One of my favorite RUclipsrs ❤
loveloveloveeeee all the themes on this channel and you're sososo pretty
Thanks for keeping the memory alive!
I LOVED playing early 2000s game on the family computer too LOL but I stayed on Disney Channel and Cartoon Network but I didn't know that 4 kids had games so this made me feel like a kid again looooove it!💕💕
Cartoon Network was my main jam for computer games 🥹💔💔
Thank you so very much! I have been looking for these games in particular! I missed them all T^T

I'm playing Infinity Nikki while watching and I agree dressup games are going strong still~ Also ohhh your earrings are so pretty ❤
Thank you eldritch yt algorithm - this is exactly what we wanted, no needed

I love your videos so much they’re so relaxing and have been helping me fall asleep when I struggle to💝💝
the sailormoon fighting game for the snes is SO funny
like its not just one of my favorites to revisit, but to also watch other people play because sometimes you just die out of nowhere and peoples reactions are so funny lol
This is so good! Makes me want to play them… and also getting proper magical games for my switch. It would be so good!
Ahhh if only 😭 I respect the Hirogaru Sky switch game though 🫡
@ fair. But like imagine Sailor Moon or Ojamajo Doremi RPG game on the switch. Or Precure. So many options.
They do have Precure games on the switch but they are only in Japanese ; . ;
@ yeah I know. They also are aimed at learning style games and mini games. I would love a pure RPG style game. Like give me a Persona style game meets Sailor Moon or something. I’ve seen Blue Reflection which is the closest but I didn’t care for it too much when I tried a demo.

Pink Pony Club on the Ojamajo Doremi flash game is taking me out 😭😭😭
LOL omg we played the same games that cartoon network summer resort had me in a chokehold.
Finally, my childhood represented. I was starting to get worried
I loved the video, you should try old beat 'em up games like the arcade version of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon
I wasnt allowed to go on to most websites as a kid so its always weird seeing all the things I missed out on
I was an avid fan of girly flash games growing up, and I never heard of any of these! 😮 This is such a great video. 💛
god i remember the rhythm game on the winx site being my first experience with gamer rage
Is it okay if we can get more vlogs I love seeing them!!
And you're releasing it as the ojamajo mobile game is finally available to play in english in the US??? How are you this aligned with your uploads x)
The Winx Club game I remember playing was Attack on Magix (I think that’s it, I forgot the name). You had to time your attacks and I had such poor reaction speed so I always fumbled. Sorry, Winx Club I let you down 😔

fun fact:
there are tmm and ojamajo doremi games!! (but they're japan exclusive)
Man I miss flash….sob
This was a lot of fun!
I always found it hard to actually find any true magical girl games online. At least, hard to find any that were actually fun and engaging. Which is really sad! I think the closest I really had to finding that vibe were the Sue games.
I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED IF THERE WERE FLASH GAMES FOR MY FAV MAGICAL GIRL ANIMES... My questions can finally be answered ✨✨
I found Magical Knight Rayearth through some magical girl dress up flash game 😂
I played that sailor moon fighting game so much lol
This video made my globbing day!!
Your earrings are so cute lol
What is one thing you've always wanted?
Now I want to see someone make popular music using the Doreme music slider game
What comes to my mind right now is My Favorite Things from the Sound Of Music
“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things 🎶 “. But played on the music slider game
I don’t know if this is considered a magical girl game, but I threw it down on that Powerpuff Girls game, where you fought in the robot
There’s also a madoka Magica pc game, It’s really fun and hard…
yesss I love the Ruffle player
Playing games do sailor moon, winx club more we become magical queen⭐
Ngl flash games are Gen Z’s childhood brainrot.
Sailor moon versus the King of Fighters
I sort of do you want to know who would win in a fight Sailor Moon Or Orochi from KOF 97
Also there is a Sailor Moon beat them up game for arcades And that’s probably where the sprites are pulled from. I’ve played that pretty guardian sailor moon arcade game and it is actually really difficult. Most arcade games are difficult but pretty guardian was a little more difficult for some reason
Yesssssssssss!
