  • Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Pakistan, seeking more investments to help his country’s devastated economy. The much-touted China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, though, is turning out to be a millstone around Pakistan’s neck, with debt repayments mounting and returns proving elusive. Easy money, it turns out, isn’t

The total money India invested in Chabahar and Sitwe ports and associated roads is a pittance when compared to Pakistan's CPEC project. Clubbing the disastrous CPEC with very cautious and judicious investment in Chabahar and Sitwe is unnecessary

Pakistan has $130bn in overseas debt. Interest payments is now over $10bn/year. Also Pakistan needs $20bn each year to fund the current account deficit. Also Pakistan to pay $10bn Principal repayment. They need $40bn. Thats why sharif is going all over the world so that he could get some money. Once they get the money, they will spend the money on imports and again comeback with begging bowl. IMF is not foolish to give them money which will never be paid back

When will people finally understand?! Have Pakistan reunite with India. Pakistan is essentially East Germany. India could also benefit from reunification. And please spare me the usual comments: Pakistanis and Indians are the same people. Have Punjab and Kashmir reunite each, include Sindh into the Union, have Balochistan be independent and have Waziristan and Kyber Pass be part of Afghanistan!
East Germany went bankrupt, that is why it dissolved. Please understand the value of Reunification!

I am amazed while listening your video log that Pakistan is going to disappear from world map because of its bad economy where more than 40% youth are unemployed, inflation is more than 40%, Pakistan Army Generals, Pakistan civil military bureaucrats, district management groups, rich criminals crook corrupt politicians, public servants, businessmen, land mafias and ordinary small businesses are looting the country, never pay their required taxes, no one do their jobs, majority of unemployed people are building 2-3 crorers houses and everyone is driving Asian, Chinese and European cars. More than 1 millions of Pakistani are sending around 32-39 billion of US dollars every year and our criminal corrupt and crook politicians and their children are enjoying their lives on Pakistani taxpayers and look Mariam NAWAZ has 40,000 US Dollars hand bags and for normal check up go to London, which shows Pakistan is doing excellent as compared to India from where millions of people leaving India every year to European and western countries like UK, Australia, Canada, Middle East, African and Eastern European countries with wealth of degrees, diplomas and years of work experience and if India is doing so good, why these millions of Indians are leaving India sir?

Unlike the USA, China has never helped any country to prosper, and why would it? An economically prosperous Pakistan doesn't bode well for China's middle kingdom dreams. A financially strong Pakistan won't be obedient to China and would deal more freely with other countries, some of whom may not be friends of China, and China understands it very well. China will keep Pakistan on ventilator, just enough support to keep the country alive but not enough for it to thrive.

True. UP and Bihar are the inner Pakistan of our nation pulling the average of entire country development metrics down in every reading. One of the main reason south is super p1$$ed about the BJP government was having them take money from progressive south and invest in these illiterate and backward areas that don’t have skills or IQ to develop themselves no matter what help you provide them. Sometimes I wonder if we are better off to split up as one nation and become a union of independent states as countries and issue limited freedom of movement between people and capital within the country. A common military and currency regime can be instituted but everything else should be separated. We are too different culturally and language to work as one nation economically.

There are no flaws in gwadar project and road leading towards that but for any portion of CPEC investment to give returns to chinese investors and give revenues to pakistan government they have to be on punjab sindh side of indus , where population is , trade is , writ of state is . Arab investors too like chinese investors should invest on this side of indus and on medium sized projects not mega projects . Sharifs have this tendency of encouraging stock markets by reducing interest rates and retard estate sector to make influential karachi business rivals happy where stocks concentrate , they have this tendency to encourage overseas investors to mega projects in baluchistan and kpk to make pathan.and baluch leaders happy and keep army busy in protecting foriegners . This is now failing and punjabi and sindhi profederation nationalistic parties are going to replace PPP , PMLN and PTI with increased.autonomy in constitution some trend which India post election is also heading towards . Gawadar port has opponents not only in form of USA but also arabs who fear china iran gathering here in taiwan war scenario . China will enter pakistan in taiwan war if its own ports are blocked . However the himalyan region of cpec will be india china trade route via kashmir and punjab once india china detente occurs , which is one main purpose of CPEC . It has not failed but chaos in politics via USA and khans of pakistan has dimmed CPEC . Baluchi sardars are not valuing it properly
