Thanks Alex, im surprised with your long form content, are you putting in mid video ads? I'm sure it will build up. I'm just hoping mine doesn't drop after Christmas.
Thanks Joe, really appreciate the kind words. Sounds weird but it is easy to second guess yourself when doing this, one video may do well, others not so. But enjoyment doing this, and receiving comments like this, especially from fellow youtubers make it all worthwhile. Thanks btw on the thumbnail, that is one area I feel I can do better on so good news 😀
Thanks John, its a long journey but if you enjoy it then its well worth it from all sides. Will defo do another one in the new year as an update. All the best and keep going also 😀
Good to see you making some money, I have a small family channel with around 220 subs! 3 ish years in, Like you love the prosses of making/editing vlogs would love to make it a passive income! will keep going tho love documenting our adventures!
Good on you, it is so worth it, finding something you enjoy, also, having the memories from your videos, family ones are ones you will treasure forever. I'm sure you will reach your goals. Keep going!
Thanks for opening up pretty nice I’m not necessarily doing this for the money everything that my channel makes Goes back into gear and other things to keep it going and I don’t even really make anything yet other than affiliate that just got started this past month. It’s a slow moving process but I love it and I think I would still do it even if I didn’t get paid anything it’s just a nice way to break free and post and get to know other people. I would like more engagement though because I do like to build those relationships. Great video dude
no problem, yeah I get so many people saying you can become a millionaire on RUclips, I don't think they quite realise it is a lot of hard work and you have to do it because you enjoy it. After my software subscriptions and equipment the channel is roughly breaking even which is nice. You will get there too dude, takes time, and sometimes only one or two videos to make the break. As you say, anything extra is a bonus, but the thought of being a full time RUclips is also a nice one to not rule out entirely :)
Hi buddy came across your channel by accident, was looking at content regarding the canon gx7 , watched your video and subbed , however I have a RUclips channel , I have 1.3 k subscribers, but that channel is mainly air rifles , I don’t no how I came to the conclusion but I understand , I can’t make any money of gun related videos , any ideas please , I’m nearly 60 and not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to technology lately , any help appreciated shaneweightman uk 🇬🇧
Heya Shane, so if the goal is to make money then, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, continue to grow your audience, you already have over 1k so are doing well and clearly an audience for your channel. So monetization on YT May be difficult, not sure on the guidelines on guns etc. But you have to think, would an advertiser want to promote something against your content. So, 2 ideas moving forward. 1st, if you do get monetised on the YT channel, mark appropriately as per the guidelines each video (you have to self mark), but have a think about complementary content you could do on your channel that doesn't necessarily feature guns. So for example, and I have no clue on the topic, but you could do best cleaning products for looking after your equipment. And talk it through in a more generalised sense while referring to how you use it and aim to get this smaller portion of videos with ads on. 2nd, will be rather than YT monetization, you can do affiliate marketing so external products link to either amazon or there may be stores that are willing to give some form of cut for new business. It involves having a look around and reaching out, and will work better with a larger audience. So, as long as you enjoy making the content and people are watching, keep going and grow that channel up. Hope that helps and good luck with your journey.
To all the small RUclipsrs out there, Keep on grinding, hope this gives you some motivation!
That's nice to see. Thanks for sharing.
Well done Marlon you are making x3 more than me on adsense in your last 28 days. Tech clearly pays more than Travel & Politics.

The numbers going up because you put in the work, these are very good numbers with 2.1k subscribers, thanks for the share and keep grinding 💪 🚀
Great thumbnail btw 👌

Very helpful Marlon. I started a channel in May so I am working hard on the videos to get my numbers up. Another video would be great. Keep going

Haha, thanks Stuart, yes not too bad going. Hope you are safe as well, all the best.
How much have you spent on advertising?
pretty much nothing at the moment. trying to work out who I would advertise to.
Most of the money earned goes towards software subscriptions for video editing and camera accessories 😆
