I always find collection launches at Chanel hit or miss with stock levels… whether it’s because they are yet to receive pieces or whether it’s because they have been pre-sold to VIP’s. I’m pretty sure that Lion charm does come as a separate brooch - but not sure if we are receiving it here in Oz 🤔 so pleased you found your Dway slides! Dayle, re game -playing these stores do - I totally hear you. I live in NZ and often there is no one in line at LV but they try and make me wait to start the appearance of forming a queue. Why do these stores do this? It makes me feel like a complete numpty standing there waiting to get into a store that has one customer inside and a bunch of sales people inside twiddling their thumbs. All this just to make it look like a big demand exists to get inside. I feel so embarrassed sometimes I decide to take my business elsewhere hence the reason I own 5 Pradas for every LV. Prada is opposite and lets me straight in!

Thank you for sharing with us the history around Australia Day; as an American I had no idea about it, but it does sound VERY similar to our "Columbus Day" which many feel is a person who should absolutely not be honored, as he committed genocide and was in general a monster of a person. It has recently been change to Indigenous People's Day in much of the US. The holiday of Columbus Day itself has only carried on so long due to a very vocal Italian-American lobby, which is absolutely mystifying to me.
I should add that Columbus Day was never our "national holiday" and was only introduced when aforementioned Italian-Americans pushed for it to happen about 100 years ago. Our national holiday is still Independence Day on July 4th when the Declaration of Independence was officially signed (though that kind of happened on July 2, and the news didn't get to the rest of the colonies for weeks, and some, like me, do not consider Independence Day the birthday of the United States, but rather that it should be September 17th, when the Constitution was officially ratified in all thirteen states and formed a unified national government blah blah blah history nerd). 😁
It surprises me that people would still CHOOSE to buy Chanel considering their dark and negative history towards Jewish people. I get that its "Luxury" but Chanel is NOT worth the price considering it's quality.
