The Untold Truth of Napoleon Hill - History's Most Beloved Con-Man.

  • Napoleon Hill is arguably the most influential business writer of the past century, he's almost single-handedly responsible for the core ideas behind the billion dollar self-help / business coaching community. He originated the idea of "masterminds", and his story, at first blush is the stuff of American legend. However under scrutiny, his convenient story looks more like the delusional ramblings of a Con-man.

this video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it a Napolean Hill pitch.

To those of you who enjoyed Think and Grow Rich, and this is unwelcome news... Understand that you can enjoy the book and get something out of it the bits about “positive thinking and goal setting”, without following in Hill’s footsteps.
Being aware of the limitations of the book is important. The man was a documented con-man during his life. This is a fact. He was also broke most of his life and plagued by his actions. This is also a fact. But you still can know all of those things and take something away from his book positively. 🤔 Thanks for watching!

Really really liked this video. I liked that Napoleon basically projected his personality onto Carnegie. A lot of these “get rich gurus” see themselves as being in league with accomplished businessmen, and believe that the only way they got to that level of success was by employing the same manipulative tactics and rough edged mentalities they feel like is necessary. Reality, thankfully, is far from that fact.
