It is very good to see someone like him on RUclips. Stressing value creation is so important. It's one of the reasons I often prefer a market that has lower liquidity. When fed interest rates are practically nothing and money is flowing like crazy, few companies are investing in value creation. Instead, capital is being flushed down the toilet and everyone is excited about it. Then we see, like recently, with rates going up and the smoke clears: it wasn't the interest rates that lost all that money, it was already gone while everyone was having a party. Now companies can focus more on value creation.
When trading, one has to stay off most of the internet. Almost everything out there is garbage. The boring stuff is better.

      CZ leans into the drama.
He’s entertaining, savvy, and engaging, but he leans into the drama side of these scams, and it’s in part to why his channel blew up.
He leans into the YT clickbait thumbnails, leans into the drama side of scams which also fuels viewership on YT, and of course, credit to him he has an enthusiastic and entertaining personality.

Trading sounds a lot like hacking/IT security in that learning the skills necessary requires a lot of reading, a lot of practice, for most people a lot of training. Many people get into it because it looks cool from the outside but don't want to learn the deep elements of the systems they want to attack, they download Kali Linux and open a terminal and think they're a hacker.

    • @vedashen3573
      @vedashen3573 3 года назад +12

you nailed it. Trading is a profession. Of course you have to learn and practice a lot. I mean a lot. Not for nothing almost everyone fails. Also because of wrong expectations. And especially in day trading, you have to deliver top performance every day. If you only learn it in order to make money with it, then you won't make it because there are too many hurdles and you will lose money very easily. To persevere and become a pro you need a passion for it in my opinion. And the most difficult part is to master your own psychology. You must be able to control yourself and your emotions. The better you can do this, the better your performance and the easier it is for you to stick strictly to your trading plan. The latter is especially important in extreme situations.

Regarding the talk of running an online shop on Amazon to "get rich" (0:42:00). I ran a real shop, on a busy high street in the UK *as well as* an online store, though not on Amazon etc. This week we've had to close due to the current economic climate, and going into semi-retirement.
The amount of people who ask if we're "going to sell it online now?" As if it's easy money and free to sell our own products 'online'. I then explain to them that we've always sold our stuff online, this is the first year we've run at a loss since we've been 12 years in business and that if we made a loss with online sales *as well as* an over-the-counter trade, how will we make more money taking that counter trade away?
Bottom line is to make money, you have to create it. It takes knowledge, experience and hard work. And if watching some random dude, flexing his wealth on You Tube, is learning and research to you then you won't make millions!

The funniest thing to me with all the day trader gurus, is that in almost every ad on RUclips they have no less than six monitors behind them all with the Bloomberg Terminal looking black background with colored graphs and charts. I mean, surely this guy must be an expert in the stock market. Just look at how many monitors with graphs he has.

I've been following Patrick Boyle's channel from his beginning, and he's an EXCELLENT resource for learning the truth about trading/Wall Street topics we've all heard but don't fully understand. He offers the plain truth without hyperbole, without an underlying agenda and without Lamborghinis in the background.... just the facts.

I am amazed by how many people seem to be averse to working an actual job - as in, providing a real service or product to real people. Like that dentist he mentions: he stopped fixing people’s teeth, and that’s a shame. Fixing people’s teeth is a valuable, useful thing to do with one’s work life.

You are spinning the word "speculator" a bit, I vouch for macro trades in that if you stick to the sector you are familiar with and play the macro cycles, it is very easy to make 10-15% over a quarter of a year.
In crypto, a smart person (not even genius), can double their money in a half year. I don't even think 100% return over a half year is even that much.

@@tinonoman5831 If there is actually a signal that can let you reliably gain 10-15% Q-o-Q or 100% over 6 months, why wouldn't you or someone else just take it? Go into debt, you'll make it back in 3 months, right? You are probably committing some kind of gambler's fallacy in your internal model. But if you really are a genius that can do what 99.9999% of us can't, good for you...go make your millions.

I dont do TA or have a signal, I am a macro trader. I mean, I am working to make my millions.
I take money out before the peak and protect my gains. Sensible emotion controlled macro trading. Not too hard.

I’m so glad I’ve come across your channel & specifically this video, I’ve now subscribed to Mr Patrick Boyle’s channel too! I was shown the world of trading early this year and was immediately drawn in by the “huge returns” but the more I’ve delved into this topic I’ve learnt it’s not possible to get rich over night or make these audacious claims of huge returns, now my focus is learning as much about finance as a whole and being better with my money and as part of that is investing rather than trading! I just want to be better with my money and side not in quite a curious person so learning about finance and the economy is really interesting for me! Knowing how things work etc!! Anyways Thankyou for the videos!! Keep it up you both deserve way more subs than a lot of these channels out there!!

I am a professional trader and I can confirm that this man is spitting facts. I will say one thing though. I am a swing trader and with the way I do things I do not need to spend much time on actual trading. I spend about 15 minutes per day opening/closing/managing my trades and the rest of the day I can just do whatever. You do not have this luxury with day trading which is why I think that smaller timeframes are a waste of time.
