I am a pianist as well! In September of 2021, I proposed to my boyfriend in the conservatory at the Bellagio hotel. We are HUGE phantom of the opera fans. I was freaking out for sure and I tried to buy us some time by getting us in to the piano bar. Sad to say they were fully booked and no table was available! However, I was mesmerized by the pianist playing(who I JUST learned is this guy and i just found him on here. 💯) I was able to get his attention and give him a thumbs up before I went and asked the big question and he gave me a thumbs up back. It was almost as if he knew what I was about to do... like "you got this" type of thing. Anyway, I popped the question, he said yes and the crowd went wild. Fast forward to us walking out of the hotel, I gave him a thumbs up again and he gave it back, and he started playing THIS medley. Like he knew this was our favorite musical❤💛💚💙💜 He must of had a feeling. To David, you haven't known this till now - you made our night special. It was the topper to our evening. Thank you for being there that evening and hope to see you tickling the ivories when we come back in April. Blessings ~
I sat in the restaurant for breakfast at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, 2002.
Looking at the menu, I heard this incredible piano music, looked up and saw David at the Steinway. I could not leave the restaurant as my friends headed out to the pool! I bought his album Music of the Night and continue to enjoy this master musician!
David Osborne is the best
David is so outstanding, and if he lived next door, I would defend him if someone had a complaint of him playing to late in the evening, for I would say, "You have to realize that you are hearing the best of the best.

I have heard a lot of Phantom medley covers, but this is by far the best one, in my opinion. I listen to it all the time. I never knew the sheet music was avilable until tonight, so now I’m buying that🎹 💕

The single best Phantom medley I've ever heard. Orchestral.
Oh my goodness I could listen to this man play all day and all night. As the song goes on he just gets better and better! He is wonderful.

He's beyond amazing, I've never seen someone move up and down the piano so fast and change tempos and different pieces, I loved it.

I've been looking fir the sheet music for this for MONTHS!! I'm looking for the music to play for my senior recital. I've looked at other music but this is by far the prettiest medley I've ever heard in my life.

I can not understand the ONE person who does not like it!
They probably think what I think. Amazing technically and what a talent... but, but for me it was overcooked. The excessive flourishing and hammering distracted from the true beauty of the music and the intention behind it. It was hammer hammer, flourish, flourish from start to finish. Just because you can do that, doesn't mean you should. Still amazing playing though!

It was a show first! Watch the show. I recommend the 25th anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall. The film as a disaster by comparison. With Mr Butler the handsome phantom with zero grotesque facial features!
