My father served in the Army during World War 2,and my 4 sons served in the Army ! I thank the Lord. They all made it home safe !! I fly the American flag every day with the respect and love of our country and the members who have served and the ones protecting protecting us now!!

Michelle your porch looks so nice! Love all the devor! And the flowers look so beautiful!!❤ Begonias Are one of my favorite outside plants. I plant different varieties & colors every year. All your flowers & plants look so healthy. This holiday is so special to me, and every time i see a flag i think of my daddy. He was A WWII purple heart marine veteran. And he was A die hard marine til the day he died. He shared many of his war stories and its so so heartbreaking💔 not just for my daddy and my family.. but for so many others! But when he passed we had the traditional Marines service. After taps was played and those marines folded that flag & presented it to me, on behalf of the president, at that time, and the US Marines.. it was just a feeling of heartbreak & pride all at the same time🥹 That flag is housed in a wood flag box with a glass front and stays in my living room.. and i love it dearly! So yeah, flags and bugles, veteran holidays and marines.. it a holds a special place in my heart forever!🇺🇸❤ My brother also served in the army in Vietnam. All men & women who serve or have served deserve to be recognized every day! I'm so sorry i rattled on about the holiday.. but i just had to share my heart. I love your porch Michele! Those red begonias are stunning! My husband and I went to a couple of nurseries on Friday, and I planted all my annuals in pots. I also did one with fresh herbs for my raised back deck. I could never plant them ground level, would be like ringing the dinner bell for all the deer, groundhogs and bunny's around me, LOL! We all owe our freedom to the brave men and women who gave their lives for us. ❤
I love to garden and wish I was surround by country woods even if the deer were a problem. I'm sure your gardens are lovely even if they are in raised beds. If I was rich I would have all the flowers in my yard, I just love them all! We certainly do owe so much to those that paid the price for our freedom. May we never forget them. Your porch looks like a cozy spot to relax. I just came in the house from our bonfire. My husband and I sat out there for a couple of hours tonight. It was cool, not much wind and very quiet.
