Very rough, difficult life of childhood abuse and domestic violence. My life has literally traipsed across my face. I look much older than my 57 years.
I am SO grateful to have found you! I am getting close to 78 and have no intention of having surgery yet I see the young people in my family getting so many procedures done and they are only in their 30's and 40's! Their faces have become almost frozen ie little to no expression. I hope your message gets out and helps! Thank you for speaking up!

Not to get all after-school special on you, but omg, I love you, doc! I love how knowledgeable you are and how well you break down the information. I had my facelift 2 years ago in San francisco and my dr. Was awesome. However, in the next 10 years, when i need another. I got you as my choice. I love everything about you. You have a wonderful personality, and I can tell you're not like some of the other plastic surgeons I've met. Keep up the awesome work on RUclips, and you do such beautiful work on the ppl. You do work on. Kudos 👏 ❤
Hi from Scotland. Thank you. Your advice is invaluable. As a spa/ holistic therapist and esthetician at the ripe old age of 54 years old I look 10 years younger. So many people don't believe my age lol. At the age of 39 I was in the states for a holiday with my family. We were at a restaurant and I asked for an alcoholic drink. I got asked for ID lol. My 16 year old son was killing himself laughing. I have NEVER had Botox, fillers, surgery etc. skin care is imperative. Cleanse, tone, moisturise, use face masks, go for facials if you want to. As discussed, sun screen, sleep, hydrated with water, nutrition, exercise, very minimal alcohol if any, no processed foods. Reduce stress if you can. I use Gua sha rose quartz to stimulate my lymphatic system and blood supply, meditate and crystals healing. Hydrotherapy and cold plundging is also great for circulation, energy and mental acuity. It's time we were more holistic and natural in processes. Mother earth protects us if we listen.
I used sunscreen for decades on my face and neck but neglected my forearms. Now at almost 70, the skin on my forearms, particularly my left (driver’s side) arm, bruises and tears when I bump it. I’ve been wearing sun protection for years now, but the damage has been done. I’m going to investigate laser treatment to prevent tearing and bruising.
I am so glad I opted to age naturally. I also haven’t used creams/potions. Only cold pressed, organic rosehip seed oil, borage oil, and sometimes vitamin e. Haven’t tanned my face in decades and wear sunscreen. I believe not putting chemicals on my face helped. I am also vegan for the last 8 years. In my 60’s and happy with myself.
I m in my early 40s & keen for RF micro needling to restore facial tightening. Fat loss has always been my concern. Now… after listening this , lost all my hope . 😢 Not sure how frequent should i have surgical lift However, really grateful for this honest information
This was really a good video!!! It summarized all about rejuvenation. The most important part was that to “take care your skin correctly until you meet the right surgeon”. That is what I’m going to do even though it takes years and years but not like decades 😂😅
Are you also doing research on her behalf how cancerous and untested sunscreen ingredients are and that they stay in your bloodstream for 30+ days from only 1 application? And that you should apply it every 2 hours even on a cloudy, rainy day? And that it's "not" a big problem at all coz it's F up her hormones, that a lot of ingredients in it are hormonal disrupters and F with your glands also, thyroid etc? Didn't think so:) But what you can do is love and blindly trust your government, because their priority number one is your safety and health.... Just after profits! 🤣🤦

I understand the interest in non-surgical skin tightening and lifting treatments, as many brands and options claim to deliver these results. While I’m not commenting on specific brands, I generally find that non-surgical lifting treatments are unreliable and can actually have drawbacks. They often come with side effects, may worsen signs of aging over time, and, in my experience, are not sustainable treatment options. For those looking for a true, lasting lift, surgical options provide a more effective and consistent outcome.
Make them affordable for us non millionaires it's truly unfair what you charge. I'm going to Turkey to have everything done by one of the top surgeons there and it's a fraction a small fraction of what you charge!@@dramirkaram
my doc in Turkey said he would give me "a liiitle" brow lift. I endet up looking like Mrs. Spock. That was almost two years ago, it es coming down again, but I don`t look like myself. I regret the browlift, not the facelift.
Who was your doctor and where? United States doctors are too expensive. Your Plastic surgery went well. I am researching doctors in Turkey to see. Please reply. This doctor has fantastic advice‼️
Great video! I think Fillers are the biggest mistake anyone to make. It just makes people look alien and waxy. I see beautiful women my age start to look just bizarre and it seems like it’s addictive bc they just keep going.
Thanks doctor❤ 43 and I'm starting to do some research to just feel like myself again 😊I love aging it's going to happen but just a little refreshing of the face and neck
@ nope, i mean work out your facial muscles, like you work out your body muscles, which has the result that you build up natural volume in your face and has a lifting effect. If you look at the anatomy of your head, it‘s full of muscles , including the tongue, but we never work out these muscles lk we do with our body muscles thus skin gets lose in the face. I joined a course with an expert ( not one of these hundreds of u tube face yoga „ experts“ ) and it works! It takes time, daily exercise for 20 min, but its absolutely game changing when u see the results, open eyes with lifted skin , full cheeks, no double chin etc. The expert is Hanna Sacher and she has an you tube channel, but this give people only an idea about her 3 step lifting, volume and wrinkle free course She is absolutely amazing
One thing I would recommend is make sure you get a surgeon who doesn't assess you and tell you what you need but instead waits for you to tell them what you're looking for and why. The other thing I would suggest is make sure you find someone who points out your positive traits and assets and it makes you feel beautiful whether you get the surgery or not. I love that about my searching. He even said that he wishes he could have claimed that he created my cheekbones that he loved so much. Antique complimented my chin and said it would be perfect for the procedure that I got. As the saying goes good plastic surgery should whisper not roar. The best compliment I've gotten afterward is that people say I look the same.
Best video you have done. You could even have cut it down some. Tell us what to do and what not to do. Give relevant facts - that’s all I need! Life is too busy to sit down and listen to fluff.
Thank you for such an informative and educational video Dr. Karam. This is why I love skin School. It is what I can share with family and friends. They need to know these things and I don't like needles so I've never had anything done. Thank you so very much for this video
Very helpful, it's easy to get on a train of trying to look younger and go too far. I couldn't agree more on the research point and not using fillers. I had an amazing plastic surgeon do my facelift (best thing I ever did for myself). I'm now 65 years old, look 10 years younger, and feel amazing. No-one can tell I've had work done, because I look natural. My sagging jowls, crepey neck, and loose eyelids have gone, but I still look like me. He refused to let me do anything extreme (I considered a chin implant and he talked me out of it, saying wasn't necessary and would make me look 'over done'. I was told I could do this all with filler, but I don't believe that's true and so it's good to have it confirmed. If anyone in the UK wants to know who did my work, I'm happy to share.
Thanks for this message. I'm considering some sort of aging help. I have never had any surgery or fillers. I have a great Board Certified Plastic surgeon that is great. Lots of good stuff in your video.
Dr. Karim, thank you for caring enough to share your knowledge! I wondered what you thought of the product Renuva? I have been told this might be a good option to replace facial volume. Thank you very much.
Hello, Dr. Karem - I have been using Skin Better medical grade products for years (Alto Advanced Defense and Repair Serum - an antioxidant formula with Vitamins C & E and 17 free radical fighters, and Intensive Alpha Ret Overnight Cream - a high strength retinoid with lactic and glycolic acids that is very effective yet gentle). However, these products are extremely expensive. I admire your knowledge base, experience in your industry, and candor in your videos as well as the educational approach you take in all your communications. I would love to switch to your Karem MD skincare products but can’t identify the differences between them and the Skin Better products I’ve described. Can you provide more detail about your products to help me understand if switching would be beneficial, and how? I am aware that your comparable products are more cost effective, which is great!
CO2 lasers are generally more appropriate for individuals who are starting to experience more advanced signs of aging or have significant skin concerns. This treatment is more intense than other laser treatments, so it's often recommended for those with deeper wrinkles, significant sun damage, or uneven skin texture. That said, it’s crucial to ensure that CO2 lasers are administered by an experienced provider who understands how to adjust the treatment based on skin type and specific concerns. The results can be significant and long-lasting, especially for those seeking to boost collagen and address deeper skin concerns.
Thank you doctor for this free content I've learned so much about keeping my skin more youthful. One of the best things I've learned from used to use sunscreen daily I usually apply sunscreen 2 to 3 times a day depending on how much I'll be outside. My question is how much sunscreen to put on my face daily ? Do I use a teaspoon amount or more? I generally use a 35 to 50 SPF Thank you so much
I follow a couple on RUclips that never uses sunscreen and they look at least 25 years younger than their actual ages 54 and 62. They use nutrition as their “sunscreen”. I couldn’t follow their diet because it’s pretty strict. They’ve been this way for at least 30 years and it’s working for them.
I always used sunblock on my face and at 63 I now have 2 basal cells up close to my eye. Having Mohs surgery in January. I live in Florida and the place where they are, are always also under my sunglasses. Anyone who doesn’t use sunscreen could have skin cancer later.
I was genuinely wondering if sunscreen at home is need particularly during winter times. I am a student and somedays i don’t go out at all. Should I wear it ? Thnx
I wish I could afford this surgeon. I am based in the UK and after 2 years watching this channel, I knew I was ready for a facelift. I went to a consultation with Plastic surgeon in London and one more local to where I live. Both said that the jowls were not bad enough for a surgery. I am sure that this surgeon will see why I want surgery. I don't want to wait for another 5 years until they get bad enough. I wouldn't be able to tolerate this. Are there Plastic surgeons who specialise treating people who want to maintain their looks rather than fixing face which has aged enough? I need to find a surgeon in the UK who can help
Look into endoscopic lift. I’m looking into this option. I also have only slight jowls and slight sagging (age 52). There’s also much less scarring and down time and more subtle natural results. Plus much cheaper.
I’m avoiding direct sun almost completely. My vitamin d levels are completely normal. I do take vitamin d+k2 drops. I also live in Mediterranean region, we have many sunny days here and short sleeves like 8 month of the year. I use mineral sunscreen spf30. No deep wrinkles. Some fine lines. Yes there is some sagging, age 52. 😅
I started skin care routine that you recommended using Retin A. Texture looks great but Im noticing little freckles coming out. I do use 50 spf zinc oxide sunscreen. Is this normal? Will freckles go away after a while?
Thanks for another informative video Dr Karam! I recently had a consultation on Potenza RF + micro needling where the doctor mentioned fat loss as a potential side effect. Since I have some excess fat in my lower face, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to have them target some of that fat very conservatively or if you think that's simply a no? Thanks in advance!

Dr Karam I’m dying to know what you think of Fotona 4D and HiFu - please do a video of these 🙏 love from Australia
@@dramirkaramso is fractional co2 off the table ? Like it or hate it? ❤
Another great and educational video - thanks Dr Karam!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! I think Fillers are the biggest mistake anyone to make. It just makes people look alien and waxy. I see beautiful women my age start to look just bizarre and it seems like it’s addictive bc they just keep going.
What is the best micro-needling should one get them? Thank you!
Thanks doctor❤ 43 and I'm starting to do some research to just feel like myself again 😊I love aging it's going to happen but just a little refreshing of the face and neck
Thanks a lot for those warnings. There are facial exercices too that can help a little.
They can help a lot, i am in a facial training course ( not facial yoga) and i saw outstanding results
@@Lulubabylulu Nice! By facial training, do you mean working on the facial muscles with your hands?
The expert is Hanna Sacher and she has an you tube channel, but this give people only an idea about her 3 step lifting, volume and wrinkle free course
She is absolutely amazing
Your work is amazing doctor!!! 👏 im a Licensed Skin Care Specialist and Licensed Instructor. I luv ❤️ your videos!!!
I'm a new subscriber and your videos make sense. I have a microcurrent device and was wandering if im wasting my time using it
Best video you have done. You could even have cut it down some. Tell us what to do and what not to do. Give relevant facts - that’s all I need! Life is too busy to sit down and listen to fluff.
Great Advice Dr.🙌🏼
Thank you for such an informative and educational video Dr. Karam. This is why I love skin School. It is what I can share with family and friends. They need to know these things and I don't like needles so I've never had anything done. Thank you so very much for this video
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
Dr. Karam, could you please tell us about a sunblock for the body as well? Which sunblock would be best?
Thank you so much for your advice though. I’m not a dermatologist. I agree with you 100%. Good job doctor!
Congratulations on this video. Nice information.
Glad it was helpful!
What are your thoughts on hyperdiluted radiesse?
Dr. Karim, thank you for caring enough to share your knowledge! I wondered what you thought of the product Renuva? I have been told this might be a good option to replace facial volume. Thank you very much.
Should I have hair transplant before or after a facelift...???
Is microneedling good though? Minus the RF?
What about RF home devices? Are they ok to use? Thank you so much for all your information.
Thank you for sharing the truth about this!
Who would you recommend for hooded eyes, I’m petrified of things , especially my eyes,
Can you please help me with this???
Dr. You are excellent! Thank you !!
You are welcome!
Thank you for this eye-opening viedo!
Could you please do an episode on C02 laser treatments . Yes or no?
He has a video about lasers and talks about it
so much sense. ty
Love your information!❤
Thank you!
Excellent advice.
Glad it was helpful!
Thoughts on CO2 lasers for collagen stimulation?
Yeah i find it strange that it will stimulated collagen but guess its true cuz the ppl who do lasers always looks younger
I generally use a 35 to 50 SPF
Thank you so much
That depends on your face size, enough to cover your face and neck. I also suggest you reapply at least once if you're outside at all.
@@dramirkaram thank you

Any advice on breast enhancement and or tummy tucks ( Fit / 56/ Dallas girl/ virgin to cosmetic surgery) Thank you !! Following your advice!! ❤😊
I follow a couple on RUclips that never uses sunscreen and they look at least 25 years younger than their actual ages 54 and 62. They use nutrition as their “sunscreen”. I couldn’t follow their diet because it’s pretty strict. They’ve been this way for at least 30 years and it’s working for them.
interesting. what is their channel?
@ The Healthy Life
I always used sunblock on my face and at 63 I now have 2 basal cells up close to my eye. Having Mohs surgery in January.
I live in Florida and the place where they are, are always also under my sunglasses. Anyone who doesn’t use sunscreen could have skin cancer later.
They may still avoid the sun, use hats, sunglasses etc.
What about face yoga does that help?
No
Yes but you have to be consistent. Btw it was originally called facercize, and started by Romana Devry.
Massages and faceyoga help me a lot! Search for Aysel facemassage she gives great advice .
What is your opinion on the various laser treatments?
You can learn my thoughts on that topic here ruclips.net/video/tmCHcfVxKao/видео.html
What about Endolift for under eye bags? Would you recommend?
***Thank you for the Educational advise !!! 👏👏👏
Hi dc. How about thermage? Is that acceptable ?
I was genuinely wondering if sunscreen at home is need particularly during winter times. I am a student and somedays i don’t go out at all. Should I wear it ? Thnx
what is your opinion on facial threading?
I’m seriously considering this and wanted any feedback or thoughts ,,,
heard that its bad, and only is good during 6 months, dont do it, a waste of money
How is it up to them whether you have surgery or not? Surely there's more surgeon's you can check out who accept it's your decision not theirs?
To be honest these sound like good surgeons to me…
Where in the uk are you based?
@evarkf thank you for this suggestion! I will look into it!
Thanks for sharing!!
what do you think about PRP treatments? Effective vs. fillers??
I started skin care routine that you recommended using Retin A. Texture looks great but Im noticing little freckles coming out. I do use 50 spf zinc oxide sunscreen. Is this normal? Will freckles go away after a while?
Thanks for another informative video Dr Karam! I recently had a consultation on Potenza RF + micro needling where the doctor mentioned fat loss as a potential side effect. Since I have some excess fat in my lower face, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to have them target some of that fat very conservatively or if you think that's simply a no? Thanks in advance!
How much is a neck lift?
