    I found this video while I was looking for a graduation idea for my cap. Hearing your story reminds me of my own. I ended up taking a year off from college, as well. Of course it was a different reason. However, my mom passed away this January and I absolutely love the idea of adding her to my graduation cap. I know how proud she would have been and I just want to say thank you for the inspiration.

    Came here for a craft project tutorial…leaving in tears. wow I totally didn’t see that coming 🥺 my mom passed too, I don’t think I’ll ever not get emotional at this topic. You’re so strong, girl! Thanks for sharing your heart and your creativity with all of us!

      @@AmyMakesThat it’s all good, darling! They’re healing tears. I know it’s a club we all hate to be in, but at least we’re in it together and nothing feels as healing to me as when I come across someone else who “gets it”

    I am SO glad you're on track now. It took me a long time also so I understand. There were a LOT of reasons why for me a too. However, when my career was taking off, Really taking off, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and put out of work 2 months later....I was in my late twenties. I had had it for 5-7 yrs before I was dx'ed. I always thought "Dang, if I feel like this in my twenties I can't imagine what my thirties will be" LOL! It was really really hard for a long time and in all honesty it still is, even after 23 yrs. One of my nephews, when he was a toddler, taught me to find humor. There IS humor in almost anything if one chooses to look for it. Now I could do a set as a stand up comedian just on MS. I pray you are well and succeeding in your chosen career and life. I am so sorry to her about the loss of your Mother. I just lost my Dad 4 Months ago and I'm still not handling well, even at my age (52). I know at your age it must be harder. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    How do you get the words to stay on glitter cardstock? Do you mod podge??

    • @AmyMakesThat
      @AmyMakesThat  3 года назад +1

      Hi Jasmin! I used permanent vinyl and didn't have any problems with it sticking -- you can always use mod podge or polycrylic before applying the vinyl and that should help!!
