During the first years of Miss Earth, the semifinalists are assigned an artwork about the environment, and they interpret it. I miss that segment. It kept the candidates on their toes and avoided the generic and rehearsed answers.
Miss Russia was really confident and lovely at stage, she has a "landi factor" ,.she really cathes our attention, but things change when she is called one of the top 4..She really is surprised, cant believe she made it and obviously shes really nervous but overcome after😅.,im really happy for her
Most of the ME Colombia endeared themselves to Filipinos that we cheered for them if they tend to crossover to other pageants. Case point Juliana Franco and Valeria Ayos.
The translator is actually delivering the answer the way that Miss Russia did. This is how good translators should do their job, Luis. Other translators even modify the answers of the contestants for better or for worse.
The "micro-macro" thing became the answer of all my gay classmates in every recitation we have back in high school, it has that huge impact to us beauty pageant fans🤣 even in gay pageants in our community I always hear it back then.

If ever there would like to argue me about my opinion, But for me, Karen is the smartest Philippine representative we have ever sent to an international pageant stage.
Her answer was so far the BEST ANSWER in the history of Miss Earth and one of the Top 3 among the answers of Filipina Titleholders. Sad but true, but we really are the biggest enemy of our Mother Earth. We take it for granted. I watched it in 2017 and the moment I heard it, I immediately memorized it and until now it is still etched in my mind. After she answered, I knew she's gonna be crowned Miss Earth! She totally nailed it! Actually, there was one time that I used her answer as a referrence in writing a short essay 😁 Out of all Filipina Queens, Ms. Karen's answer and Ms. Pia's MU final answer were my Top 2 faves. Also they are my Top 2 most fave beauty queens of all. Just very proud of Filipina elegance, beauty, and intelligence. Really the BEST!

I was rooting for Ms. Australia for this year. But dayum, Karen gave a mic drop answer. 😅
