Playing Vanguard in my first playthrough in Legendary Edition (always chose some other class in the original games) and damn, Charge is the best thing ever.
This is EXACTLY how I play Vanguard: don't think twice, don't bother checking how many enemies there are, just charge right in. When I see people complain that ME2 is too cover shootery, I'm just thinking "did we even play the same game?"
Vanguard is fun to watch, but in my opinion sentinel with shotgun training is stronger. Take guardian and assault armor and you can play the same way. You have to run instead of charge, but you are more durable and the assault armor explosions are devastating to anything short of bosses in a massive area.
Fuckin hell yeah! My last playthrough was a vanguard and maaaaaaan was it awesome. Probably the most fun run I've had yet. I'd charge, nova then blast everyone to hell and back. My second fav would have to be infiltrator, just making heads pop left and right is too satisfying to pass up.
So it is true? I started playing right now and I just saved Garrus and still to this point I cant use assault rifles and I was like: Maybe they will be unlocked later :( Damn I really need another weapons, but dont wanna start again from the scratch :( There is really no chance how to use Assault Rifles of Sniper Rifles when you are Vanguard?
Budliky CZ when you get too a specific mission it will give you the oppurtunity dependant on class to either upgrade your sniper, assault rife or shotgun. Or choose a new weapon i.e an assault rifle for your vanguard
Would have ruined Vanguard in this game too. ME3 Vanguard on insanity is a joke and boring as hell since the enemies all auto lock onto you the moment you exit cover. So you're forced to constantly charge+nova just to stay alive.
@@robrick9361 yeah in this game you actually have to charge in carefully and pick your targets. In Me3 you just charge and nova everything and people praise it like the most fun thing ever
I should have picked vanguard. I am so sad now. This looks so fun. I think I am pretty far in the game to start over. I picked boring sentinel. It’s a snooze fest compared to this. 😢😢
@Thevideoclown You can still kick ass with a Vanguard just fine on the 360. Even I can do it, despite being a total nubbe when it comes to fast-paced shooters. Just don't expect to be like this guy right off the bat. =P I'm working on a Vanguard/Insanity walkthrough right now, if you ever want some ideas on how to handle it when you're just an "average" dude. =)
Pull and shockwave...that's what I don't like about the vanguard. On paper it's a combat/biotic hybrid but in reality you rarely use biotics other than the charge.

The music in this game is super underrated, to bad no one hears it due to the shit default audio mixing.

Vanguards should have stasis instead of pull. Pull is completely useless for a vanguard. Sentinels should have pull.
