Drawing, like everything else, takes time and effort. I dont know many artists that havent had doubts and wondered if they were good enough.. myself included. Just keep at it.. the confidence will happen! You have a passion for it.. its inspiring to see you going for it! Youll kick a** girl!!! So proud of you for trying it 🧡
as a tattoo apprentice who’s about to graduate, tattooing is definitely a full time+ job and definitely not for the faint of heart. sometimes it makes me sad when people treat tattooing as a hobby or something to “try” because tattooing is our whole life! It consumes us. For anyone thinking about tattooing, just know that it’s a rollercoaster that never ends! You will be drawing and designing 24/7 even after a long full day of tattooing. So definitely get used to drawing EVERYDAY. Good luck to you and to those who are considering this career path ❤
also for anyone reading this, PLEASE do not tattoo yourself or anyone else at home!! since TikTok people think they can just buy a machine and do it themselves :( please don’t, as it’s important to learn proper sanitation and cross contamination safety. I know multiple people who tattoo out of their homes who have blood related diseases who do not tell their “clients” about it. SO DANGEROUS for anyone involved. So do not support those learning from home, and do not do it yourself. Get an apprenticeship and make sure your mentor is respectable in the industry, because you don’t want to learn from someone who doesn’t follow safety procedures themselves.

So pleased for you and proud that you’ve decided to pursue another artistic endeavour. I was a tattoo apprentice very briefly but it was under weird circumstances so I ended up not pursuing it. However, you have a great teacher, a great studio and you really want to do it. I’m sure you’ll be great. Having worked in a tattoo studio myself as an apprentice and manager I will give some advice - don’t fall in to the trap of making your time at the studio too sociable as it obviously prevents your growth as an artist/apprentice and also practice as much as possible drawing on your iPad and with pencil and paper without moving the iPad or paper around to reach different angles so that you can get used to what it’s like working on a human! Obviously you can move around a bit when tattooing for different angles but it really frustrated me to start with as I was so used to just turning my paper/sketchbook around when I needed to but obviously you can’t cut someone’s arm off to turn it 180 degrees haha! Anyway, good luck xxx

I didn't like it at all at first. I realised at some point it didn't work for me because the primer is water based and all of my foundations were silicone based. Got a water based foundation and now I like it :D Wouldn't praise it to the heavens as some do but it's alright!
