- This just came out the other day and I thought as a tribute to Eddie Hazel I'd put it out on the tube.

I think the only thing wrong with this is that it needs to be 4 years longer. Absolutely amazing.
Under Settings > Advanced Setting > Loop Video... you can play it over and over in a loop until your battery dies or you WiFi/mobile service is interrupted for non-payment. 😂

He has chosen (after, I assume, dealing and struggling with such while growing up) to accept that to be human is to be imperfect and that it's no one's role to act all high and mighty. A fair (albeit "sappy") way of facing life.
The closest to Eddie's in tone, emotion and execution. Much respect

If I recall correctly he wrote this after hearing his mother had died of a heart attack. You can feel the pain,despair, and love.Timeless.

Man a much as i love dave and his guitar playing i have to say the best cover is pearl jams mike mcready covering it. Look up the version in milwaukee, they do little wing before it as well and the way they flow into each other is just unreal.

There’s only a few times music can touch people like this. This really did it justice. Covers like this brings the deserved attention to the original as well.
Between this and your Before the Beginning rendition its pretty hard to pick which is more incendiary, but the contest is tons of fun to officiate with repeated listens.
Your passion and emotion are exactly the kind of thing that Maggot Brain is all about.

I love anyone who appreciates Eddie Hazel enough to cover his music. This cover is by far my favorite simply based on how perfectly executed it is. Eerie and acid drenched.
