I wish I had all my old concert shirts from when I was a kid. My mom hated those shirts lol I'm sure she threw them away or burned them or something lol!
I was a teenager in the late 90's, graduated in 98. One of my dads buddies owned a storage facilty... Someone didnt pay their rent or whatever and I ended up with 2 boxes of early and mid 80's metal tour shirts. Ozzy Bark At the moon, Priest Turbo, Def Leppard Pyromania...they all had the dates and the cities and whatnot on the back. I gave a few to friends, wore most if em. Sold a couple for WAY under market price, I didnt have the internet, I didnt know. That OZZY bark shirt turned out to be over a grand!!. The shirts I earned in the 90's, Ozzfest, Tyoe O Negative, Pantera, the shows I was old enough to go to, those are worth coin now as well Crazy World Man. Keep rockin!
You can tell that Supro has 10's. I just scavenged a 59' Lowery and got a pair of mint original Jensen P10Q's I was seriously tempted to sell them when I saw there were multiple people on Flea bay were asking $400 to $500 a piece for those buggers. But I also got a 6L6 PP amp chassis, 6- 59' RCA long plate 12AX7's which test NOS and a pair of Phillips ECG 6L6GC STR387's that test NOS (look up what they go for) For free, a picker guy I know called to say there was an old tube organ that was going to the dump, did I want it. I just went and ripped the parts I wanted off of it,
Lots of setting up tables and guitars only for people to walk by and purchase none of them! I’ve never been to a show but I’ve watched about 50 guitar show videos and it just doesn’t seem like many are sold. Is that accurate?
Basically how it works. You have to be willing to put in the hours. But if they bring out some of their best stuff and sell two or 3 guitars it woukd be considered a decent couple days. These guys also buy/ trade/network among themselves as well.
Totally agree. The shows I've been to are the same. Dealers trading with each other and 95% of the foot traffic is people browsing cool gear with little intent to purchase. It's like poor people attending art shows
@@TheGuitologistthanks for the reply. That makes sense and definitely fills in the gaps. I’m planning on going to the greater Philadelphia show next month, looking for a nice 50’s-60’s Gibson es125 or something that I’ve never played and fall in love with. Love your channel…Blessings
Not accurate. My pal was at nashville show. Many high end vintage guitars sold. Old strats, les ,pauls, dumble amp. Heck just the buyer for guitar center bought 4 high end vintage guitars, dealers bought tons of stuff walking in. Vintage guitars are hot right now
The West is the rare bird in the house. These were built in Michigan in the 70's I believe. I only heard of them because Michael West who lives close by is the brother of David West who built them. It's a great story and Michael is a walking history book of the era.
You sound like that Brad Linzy guy, what I mean is I have been subbed to your channel for a very long time, I think around 8 or 9 years, so I have literally seen every video you have ever put out and many of them 5,10 or more times (no homo) My point is I am to the level where I almost know what you are going to play before you play it. I don't know how to express this exactly, but I know my style and there are certain things I will tend to play when checking out a guitar in similar circumstances. I don't play like you, but I have gotten to the point where I am so used to hearing you just jam/improve I can almost predict what licks you will rip. Does this make sense? You are a damn good guitar player in addition to your tube amp skills (again no homo) you are surely better than me at this point on the fretboard although when I was gigging regularly 10 years ago and back to the late 80's I think I was close, again different style, so hard to compare. I appreciate your content and will always have The Guitologist and Guitologist II subbed. I just wish YT would fold and we could go back to free speech on a new platform when the world returns to sanity/normalcy but that is another conversation. Cheers Sir!
I’ve been looking for another Les Paul. I think the prudent thing to do is to sit on the sidelines for now. I’ll just have to be satisfied with my old 84 red SC2 and 84 black Gibson Invader.
I took myself out of this "vintage is better" mindset, that only contributes to blow up prices. Aside from playing vintage instruments from German builders as well as American brands, my favorite players are my '74 CBS Strat, a Gibson CS R8 plaintop, an Ibanez S-470 and a Thomann Harley Benton S-rype ST-90SA with a swamp ash body. In matters of sound and playability, this one currently is my No.1. And it runs on "no name" Roswell pickups from China ! The sound of an electric guitar is always a question of how well the components work together. Esp., when neck and body are close to being "in pitch", it will get an amplitude boost and therefore cut through every mix. Simple physics.
That is the 2nd tube caddy I have seen like that. I just bought a tube lot for $150 a few weeks ago and it had the identical box full of tubes with 2 large plastic storage bins full of tubes an a Precision series 920 dynamic conductance tester. Ended up a super score over 1000 tubes, many useful including about 6 NOS long plate 12AX7's sylvania, rca and tung sol, a bunch of 6SN7's a NOS sylvania 6L6gl, beaucoup radio tubes back to early 30's #24A types. Great score. but I looked online and couldn't find another tube caddy like mine until I rewatched this!

I've really enjoyed this series of videos. BTW, I'm a huge fan of Reverend guitars. I just bought a Jetstream 360 last week to go with my 20th anniversary special edition Double Agent from 2017. It's been my #1 for a while now.
Solidarity. Im 4 deep in Reverend Guitars and they just absolutely kick butt. Sensei Jr was my first one and it taught me more than any other single guitar that i owned. Ever. Sensei HB followed. Then a RG SUS goldtop. Then the wildwood pete anderson eastsider. Man. They are amazing guitars for the money. Imo.
@@heididragonfly yes, they really are amazing guitars. On top of that, dollar for dollar, they blow much higher priced guitars out of the water. I am absolutely sold on the goodness Reverend has to offer. My only recommendation to you is to consider getting a Double Agent. With a Railhammer and a P90, there's almost nothing one of those things can't do. It really is an amazing guitar.
I wish Eart would become more popular. My SSS is hands-down the best value for the price. A 172.00 guitar with a roasted maple neck with a compound neck/fretboard radius with stainless steel frets and bone nut along with a roasted mahogany body..........The quality they put into the injection molded foam shipping case(with their name embossed into the foam) alone just proves how much pride they take in their products. I actually sold a clear Vistalite double bass kit(virgin bass drums as well...no tom mounts) to a cousin and I completely restored each drum......I plan on getting that back someday soon.

Hey, Brad, you may have already heard of this young guy. His name is Jesse Welles. Check out "War Isn't Murder" and his latest songs where he is in the woods singing folk songs he writes. ( and a John Prine cover of Angel From Montgomery) It's like Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie and John Prine had an illegitimate love child.
Parker guitars was one of the original boutique makers. They taught me to stay far far away from boutique. Their resale is complete ASS. if you want one to record or something? fine. But boutiques are awful investments
Tell that to Zemaitis or Alembic owners. Or original BC Rich owners. Or Train Wreck or Dumble owners. ;) What I've learned doing this is to play what inspires you and do it well. Buy used if you can. Or get in early before something blows up. Zig while others zag to find deals on stuff people are sleeping on and wait for people to become educated. I've also learned I have little in common with the huge corporations that run the big guitar companies and each year that passes finds me less interested in playing their guitars.
@TheGuitologist Those are four successful examples out of virtually thousands of not so successful boutique failures. There is no secret that boutique builds are not typically great investments. They are like cars. The moment you drive them out of the parking lot, they lose 30-50% of their value. Very few boutique builds have demonstrated the ability to appreciate in value like the usual suspects do. Two things can be true at the same time. Boutique equipment can be really outstanding builds and they are overwhelming bad investments
@@TheGuitologist The Dumble is the most over priced amp on earth. Same with vintage era LP's. @@TheGuitologist Yeah, not bad at all. I'd rock one of those all. day. long. Oz is one of a few that I can say: Daaaaaaaaaaayyyy-ummm! Nice demo on your end, too!
We got to see you play at the end of this vidy... That iced the cake for me. ...Other than that I felt on the inside like walking with you around any well stocked music store.
I could live in here, but I can't afford it.
That Sabbath T is pure class. 💜
I recall the west lab amp guy from around 12 years ago. he had invested many thousands into RV4 Clarostat pots in many unusual audio tapers etc, specific to amp builder needs. he seemed to build great amps according to the amp forum guys. last FB postings I saw were about his declining health, around 8 or 9 years ago.
Super cool man, thanks for putting in all the hard work and hours filming it all bringing it all together so that we could see it! Always awesome content!
Great clip. Nice choice in amps. Always wondered what they sounded like although hated to see the Marshall get passed up.
Oz Guitar Works made it worth it watching through the decades of minutes here, what a cool concept. I absolutely love it.
"New Sound Acoustics" ❤, the Supro is a beauty, sounds tight and nice midrange too. Cool. I found myself smiling towards 5he end of the video😊
What was that the graveyard of Marshall stacks? They ought to ask a little more for um.
There are lots of amazing vintage guitars that sell for very little coin. Of course, if you want the same make and model every one else desires, you are going to pay for it. Supply and demand.
The shirts I earned in the 90's, Ozzfest, Tyoe O Negative, Pantera, the shows I was old enough to go to, those are worth coin now as well
Crazy World Man.
Keep rockin!
Prayers for Noel!
3:52 those 3-pickup basses are Dingwall. They're really cool.
The shows give dealers a chance to fill holes in their inventory by trading with other dealers, and the sales are bonus.
Vintage guitars are hot right now
Praying for you Noel !
The West is the rare bird in the house. These were built in Michigan in the 70's I believe. I only heard of them because Michael West who lives close by is the brother of David West who built them. It's a great story and Michael is a walking history book of the era.
There's a nice Parker in the Boise Craigslist.... 'sbeen there a good year now... thanks Brad .. great emissary for music passions!
forgot to mention $750
Awesome series Brad! I need to get down there next year. I’ve been looking for a bassman head. I think you ended up with a very cool trade 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
If you want to go the Nashville one next March, you can ride down with me.
Wish I had never seen that meatball logo RCA caddy… I’ll be looking for one of those now!
Man in the 90s vintage was barely the price of new with some exceptions...especially when Ibanez ruled the roost.
Not sure what town your in
Vintage guitar prices are insane! Theres a bunch of Parkers on Reverb all diff models and prices
Beautiful presentation. Thank you.
YeHoVaH heal Noel 🙏🏻🌈👍🏻
Also, that Supro is REAL COOL MAN. 😳
Great show. I like how you give some of the innovative builders some time. Really cool stuff. It will be interesting to see if the vintage market softens a bit with trending economies conditions. Prayers and positive thoughts to Noel be strong sir.
Man, those Oz guitars are cool!
Another awesome video, thank you. Thank for being bold in your faith Brad. Prayers sent for Noel !!!!
I'm in Houston and the Bucees craze started just south of here in Lake Jackson, Tx. The rest is history. Their BBQ is legit and very tasty.
Thumbs way up on that Supro! Looking forward to hearing how much better it might sound with servicing and tubes. It sounds pretty excellent as it is! I regret letting go of the few vintage Supro amps and guitars I've been lucky enough to get over the years.
Joining you in prayers for Noel; I too am dealing with some pretty severe health issues right now.
Some of the biggest auto placest in america are dealing with cybor attacks for the 3rd day in a row..shuting them down
Looks like your spell check is currently dealing with a cybor attack.
Mt. St. Helens might blow again too - seriously.

The 3 pickup bass is a Dingwall. Leland Sklar from Phil Collins and James Taylor plays them.
I'm praying for him also I ask for your mercy n grace for this man that has cancer lord Jesus Christ you said all that I ask shall be given thank you Lord for your love n mercy amen
Or Train Wreck or Dumble owners. ;)
What I've learned doing this is to play what inspires you and do it well. Buy used if you can. Or get in early before something blows up. Zig while others zag to find deals on stuff people are sleeping on and wait for people to become educated. I've also learned I have little in common with the huge corporations that run the big guitar companies and each year that passes finds me less interested in playing their guitars.
😂 Dean and Hamer and u.s. masters are all killer boutique guitars ! I've never had a Parker 😅
Funny, used parker guitars have tripled in price.
@@TheGuitologist The Dumble is the most over priced amp on earth. Same with vintage era LP's. If you're bored to tears and your garages are filled with high end race cars you might be interested in dropping a huge sum of money on folklore. I'd rather feed the poor and play no name beaters into the sunset.
I see the Orion opening on the videos and a Robocop: Rogue City screensaver Brad has an appreciation for Robocop! "I LIKE IT!"
Blessings to ya for a solid and strong prayer for Noel. Blessed me for sure.
killer amps at the show. amen
