one thing you didn't mention is the jimping on the lock bar on the xm-18. It along with the jimping behind flipper tab is the reason I sold both of my xms. went with a gen 3 eklipse which solves those problems.
Just played with a bunch of Hinderers today at a local knife shop. Ergos are great on the Jurassic but I think i still prefer the XM-18. I wish the grind on that Eklipse 3.0 was more aggressive and it was thin behind the edge because if it was i would have snagged that in a second. SUPER impressed with the new Eklipse.

I am quite sure that Hinderer will be my next. And every Chinese D2 blade I don't buy puts an extra $60 or so into my knife fund. Not gonna lie; new years resolution was to get an XM-18, but the Jurassic is awfully tempting.
An FYI, kershaw just released a knockout sprint run, m390 and (real /%100) carbon fiber scales for $120. This cut the weight down to 3.4 oz. I always thought the sub frame lock would work best with carbon fiber scales, I wish kershaw or some dealer exclusive would do a bareknuckle in this configuration. I sold my usa made blades m390 so I definitely ordered this new knockout.
I got the spear point Jurassic and was able to play with the slicer you have as well. I think the spear point is slightly better as it has a bit better balance. Due to the thin blade, the slicer felt a bit handle heavy for me (when balanced naturally on a finger). I would love to see you do a comparison.
Good comparison, but I'm afraid either of them would be too large for me to carry. I got a wharnie Half-Track from USA Made Blade, and it's all the Hinderer I need. Battle bronze, working finish, and their custom anodized battle-torn bronze stars and stripes pattern. It's never leaving my pocket!
I'm kind of confused about the jimping on the XM 18, I don't know if it's just my hands but I use a light switch flip, and my finger always ends up behind the jimping on the top of the handle of course. So it doesn't bother me at all. I just think if everyone flipped it that way then no one wouldn't have any complaints about the jimping but everyone's hands are different.
I dont know why after all these years that they have never addressed the spine jimping on the XM. just eliminate the bottom 2. It would not affect grip and retention. But it would greatly improve the action. It isnt a deal breaker. But it makes me prefer non flippers. Which is a bit of a bummer since they now have the detents dialed in so well.

Fullered spearpoint is on 3 and half inch as well. DLT exclusive I know mostly because I own one and it is great.

Try the Zero Tolerance 0562. There is a Carbon fiber version and a titanium version. You will get very close. Not quite there but close
