What father (other than the worst kind!) congratulates a teenage boy for that behavior? I nearly threw my copy of 'Eclipse' across the room when I first read it. Bella should've been pissed that she didn't have Charlie's support. He basically kicked the legs out from under her, telling Jake that he could anything he wanted to Bella. Anyway, that's why I've never liked 'Book-Charlie'. End of rant. 😏

Okay...so..what if he had just try to force her more ? Still laughing, Daddy ?" Really desapointed. And even in the movie, Charlie doesn't really react, at least we can see his desaproval.
At least he told her the truth and tell her how he felt about her and about himself. And forced a kiss on her. Even though it wasn't worth it. But he tried. So I gotta give him credit for that.
