As a Houston resident, I can't thank Governor Abbott enough for doing this. We are directly affected by the border crisis and the media would not cover 1 single second of this all-out crisis if Democrats were not suffering like we are in Texas. Enjoy y'all 'sanctuary city'

Sadly, they poo poo the states that deal with millions of these migrants. It is not until they have to deal with it personally, do they get a taste of the frustration and anger. So sad that these migrants (how many are illegal or criminals?) are being used as political chess pieces. How many women n children are getting used/abused? Stop the flow, get the laws n rules ironed out on a Federal level, then, maybe allow only a certain number in per year? The way it is now is not sustainable. We don't even have safe and reliable drinking water etc for the people already here. Our infrastructure is old and falling apart and cant handle what we have.... So Sad.

They are not just Democrat-run cities…they’re sanctuary cities as well. They promised to accommodate illegals and protect them from obeying our federal laws. As with all progressive “good intentions”, no one considered the unintended consequences. Now, Democrat mayors are begging the federal government to use taxpayers’ dollars to pay for their cities’ failures. I need to read up on the asylum laws, but from what I understand they don’t need to be changed…they need to be enforced. Asylum seekers are supposed to seek asylum with adjacent nations first. I understand the US providing asylum for people of nations that we tried to help and failed, but this is not the case. Just allowing anyone to claim asylum because they don’t like their local common crime or they can’t find work is not justification for asylum. Besides, Biden and other Democrat politicians campaigned on open borders and “browning” America. This was all planned.

We need a president who will do what it takes to declare the Mexican cartels as terrorists so our military can take them down. We need to do what we can to help our southern neighboring countries so their people can live and thrive at home and won't want to come here. For decades, we've spent so much to fight or help countries across the world. We need to start focusing on our own country, citizens and our borders and what is impacting us the most.

Unlike Biden that just made a quick trip on time for a photo op, Abbott cares about the border, Texas and America.
I work as a bus driver for a company called greyhound, and they made us all take a mandatory seminar that was pretty much a 4 hour lecture on how we will get fired if we refuse to drive a bus with the intent of "migrant dumping". We even had politicians get on stage telling us that we were the "Angels of America", but in reality, i feel guilty when i see a news report of migrants doing terrible things to American citizens.
I feel a responsibility to stand up and do something, but i know i will lose my retirement/pension if i do. Just last week a migrant urinated all over the inside of the bus I was driving because they were upset that they had to sit on the floor for the 4 hour ride (we were only 25 min in to the drive). We had another case were the migrants were "taking turns" on a woman while her husband collected money from everyone waiting their turn (this happened at the back of the bus where they had used bed sheets at the center of the bus to block the driver's veiw of what was happening back there.)
Im not surprised these people behave this way. A female driver once had to drive a "migrant bus" and she refused to do so after seeing that 2 children were visibly pregnant. She called the police, and ended up losing her job over it. When the children were interviewed, they said that they were in their 20's, even though they were somewhere between the ages of 8 to 12 (driver showed us a photo that she took). Un-suprisungly the motherbof the two girls was pregnant as welll

That’s the exact point that’s trying to be made and it’s ridiculous that all of these people are going to suffer because the government didn’t plan ahead, this was a virtue signal decision and the federal government did not and does not truly care about their own citizens let alone migrants. I’m stunned that people are making a villain out of our governor for looking out for his own tax payers and demonstrating why opening the border for droves of people to come in when we never had the infrastructure to sustain the population from the jump. They just fled oppression and now they have nowhere to go. This is the fault of the Biden administration, these politicians need to learn to care before making critical decisions that effect the lives of so many, both Americans and immigrants we’re all people.

I just got off a subway. I gave money to 1 of the adolescents selling candy. It breaks my heart to think of the difficulties they endure as children and I am a staunch supporter of our immigration laws.
