I'm not sure I learned anything about building a bench but I certainly enjoyed the video. She obviously know what she's doing. I like the point of cutting the corners to make it easier to get in and out.
I had the same question. I'm going by how long they look and guessing 30.5? Not sure why she calls for 4 4x4x8 though? I calculate you can get all 6 pieces cut out of 2, 8 footers? That's why I question the 30.5.
Thanks Michael. I agree. I paused the video while she was assembling the legs and was able to estimate that approximately 5-1/2, 2x6's could fit on the leg. (5.5 x 5.5 ~ 30.25). Did you find the proportions adequate to shoot comfortably?
@@tonysilvasy626 I would probably move the seat an inch lower just for comfort, but that is only because I have a larger posterior and legs, if you are a normal statured man, you will find it very comfortable
i got a table sitting in the garage drying what i used was 3 2x4x12 and 2 deck wood pressure treated held by screws now what im doing on the top is have 3 sides to prevent or stop things from rolling off the table then i have yet to decide of to prime or stain i want to check home depot and see if they have any medium stain or primer no to dark and not to light either but right in the middle
I couldn't focus long enough to try to do the shooting bench I just love this video so far I've seen it a dozen times and still get very distracted very nice informative video.
With how well built and sturdy that thing looks, it would seem you built a shooting bench that doubles as cover in case of those all-too-often shooting range firefights we hear about on the news so much. (Sarcasm of course, gun people tend to be good people. Still a nice bench though.)
no youre not alone i have been wanting to do this to so i can have a place to stand while i aim at cans and bottles but i have no idea how im suppose to do this
hells yea you is i built mine it took me like 2 and a half hours to build all thats left to do is put up my 3 piece wall and wheels then haul it down to the woods and i got me a hunting table then ima put a camoflage tarp oer it

As ever, great videos. Very useful. Short and concise. A talented presenter is the icing on the cake. Keep them coming....the videos that is.Thought I'd throw in some 1970s british double extende. Carry on...
I dont remember any of the measurements i better watch several times. I wouldnt want to build it incorrectly. I dont know how the lucky bastard married to this beauty gets anything done around the home.
Hi Amanda, You are great at woodworking and everything on Rated Red. I love that Southern Belle accent. Are you from Bama? Hey keep up the great work, as I love all your woodworking projects. They are precise and to the point making the job seem so easy. Take care and God Bless.
Okay guys, let's close those jaws. Amanda, try as I did I never found your right handed bench video. I'm sure we can alter this plan, but I'm wondering, if I missed the right handed bench video how many others did I miss. Outstanding video. The list of materials to view was a great help. Thanks for thinking 2nd amendment. Hope to see you at an NRA convention. (The club needs a new poster)
Just a tip Add a peice of wood at the bipod end of the table so you can press your bipod into it or "load" the bipod. Makes it more accurate less movement no bipod jump :)
That’s the nicest bench ever, bet it’s worn now, bet after sitting out in the weather it’s heavy, but hey it looks nice, I would really like to try it once
Lots of women like this at the gym... You just have to wade through the ones there to actually work out and those there for instagram shots while blocking the machines. She looks like she squats so hopefully the former lol.
The most skilled cameraman ever! Got all the best angles!
Cold in the shop today.
First thing I noticed. They knew what they were doing.
LOL🤣🤣
Prolly not she's just excited from being filmed
Im sure the temp is 42f year round
I know every time I build a shooting bench my Nipples get hard too...🤪
I was browsing RUclips for different bench ideas, and after watching this video I'm browsing different wife ideas.
Damn, that's funny.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂best comment ever
😂😂👌
Best comment ever!
You, sir, are a comedic genius. And someone who is probably paying alimony by now!

was step 1 cut your wood or cup your wood? im confused
Missed the part where you built a bench, i better watch again.
twice, just to be thorough!
Hahhahha! I literally laughed out loud
Lmfao! I missed the bench completely as well
Not sure why I like this video so much......but I like it. Very informative!
A bench? Where?
I for one am glad she made the video. It is easy to follow and you have a fantastic bench when your done. Thank you young Lady
Best looking pair of carpenter pants I’ve ever seen
Loved the video. I still have no clue how to build a shooting bench.
I’ll need to watch this multiple times! Something about a bench!!! Wow!
Only lumber I have is 6.5 inch. What do I do?
Building stuff with wood is AWESOME.............FUN
Nice job. I make mine with composite decking boards for top and seat. Last forever and no slivers.
You gotta love another video of Amanda helping guys to shoot.
Did you say Five 4x4's cut to 30.5 in or 39 in?

@@tonysilvasy626 I ended up successfully building this bench and iirc it was 30 and a half

I dont think the camera was focused on the project, just the installer, pleasant on the eyes. 👍❤
It took me a few time to notice the bench but yeah, it's cool. I need to build one like that.
Agreed! Was she building something? Never saw that part..
I couldn't focus long enough to try to do the shooting bench I just love this video so far I've seen it a dozen times and still get very distracted very nice informative video.
I like when it's a little cold in the shop. Tune in tokyo--tune in tokyo
Do you give classes for woodworking? Would like to sign up! I am very hands on type of student
Lmfao
How many boards was that?
Excellent bench! Thank you for sharing, Amanda!
I was already shooting two minutes into this video... OMG
I love your sliding miter saw.
Are all the cuts and supplies written somewhere so I don't have to keep rewinding to watch and write down?
where can i get drawings of this for right handed version?
Do you have the plans on a pdf?

Solid bench nice work Amanda!
Can you build a shooting bench to accommodate a right and left shooter all in one.
Am I the only one watching to genuinely get some ideas for building a bench?
I think there's maybe 5 of us here for the bench. And the instructions were perfect.
no youre not alone i have been wanting to do this to so i can have a place to stand while i aim at cans and bottles but i have no idea how im suppose to do this
What are ya gay? Who cares about the bench
Yes

what did she just build
She built something? What was it?
After watching this my shooting bench turned out looking like a coffee table. 😆
Wait what did she build?
Topless building anyone?
Here!!!
With here hell id hire her at my house if she did topless building even though I can do it but hey a good looking build partner doesn't hurt
It hard enough to to get this bench built with the distractions already...
@@wht240sxka true that
Why would anyone dislike this - unless they are jealous or living an "Alternate Lifestyle".
What boards is she talking about?
I could watch this all day
Amanda's already gorgeous but the fact that she knows her way around a workshop...oh my 😍
Yes the 70 degree drill angle....every time sure was impressive. Almost ready to build a bookcase from Walmart.
Nice for sure but if i may. Why not have it cut out on both sides for the shooter to set. both right an left handed shooters can use the same bench 🤔
As ever, great videos. Very useful. Short and concise. A talented presenter is the icing on the cake. Keep them coming....the videos that is.Thought I'd throw in some 1970s british double extende. Carry on...
Ain’t no lying to this one. She knows exactly what 9” looks like
Was there a bench in this video
Great bench nicely done.Thank you
can you make a rifle rest that goes with it?
I like the idea of carriage bolts for the fasteners. Deck screws just don't seem heavy enough for the structure.
That's really beautiful... The bench is good too
Any body know where I can buy a set of those legs, thanks
How many inches again?
Excellent job beautiful looking shooting bench! Thanks for instructions!
Nice job. Looks great.
you run through the parts list quickly -- is there a link where I could get the list of cuts?
That is awesome. Great Build Amanda!!!!
I dont remember any of the measurements i better watch several times. I wouldnt want to build it incorrectly. I dont know how the lucky bastard married to this beauty gets anything done around the home.
I'm sorry, we're you building something ? I was having some "wood problems" . Dammit girl !!
If I cut wood with Amanda in the shop Ill come out short a couple of fingers
“Oh my god are you ok?”
“Oh yea it’s nothing. Show me what’s next?”

Wow. Just, wow.
Bench?
Nice shooting bench! Good job y’all!
I ❤️ the way she says five! I forget all about pic-a-nic baskets

I have to watch the video again to learn how to build this thing 😂

Can I just get one from Amazon?
What was she building?
I was a bit distracted...
What shooting bench?
I love the 2nd amendment and I love you too Amanda
Dannit! I'm going to have to watch this again and again to get the instructions correct.
That was a nice pool table...bird house. Your Gorgeous!
What bench?

It's definitely a chilly day
Legit question here, what brand leggings are you wearing?
How many 39 inches boards? I forgot them 🤔😂
Great job and great video thanks 🙏 🙂

Does she say 30 1/2 inches for 4x4 or 39 1/2 and you only need 5 1x6x8 not 6
I had to watch the video twice. The first time I was distracted :)
Need to build a heater for the shop
I disagree.
seraph1926 me too! 😂👍🏻
Aahhh wait she cut boards..hu. I missed that part ,better look back an see if I can find it
