I went with sawhorse with adjustable legs only because I got local instead is shipping, your idea is a winner only for airgun shooting will be awesome, thanks
Thanks, it really is a handy shooting bench. In fact, I actually used it today out in the desert...so nice not to have to lay down in the hot sand and stickers.
@@Halfmilesniper My wife and I are planning a trip to South Dakota P dog hunting in September. Never been and hope to find some places to shoot. Looking at a portable table for that. Thanks for sharing this build.
You are more than welcome, I don't mind providing the link to something I've already done, especially when there was almost a year between the two videos.
I use mine a lot, even more now because of all the folks who complain that the table moves a little in recoil, lol. They are very handy and portable, providing a nice shooting platform just about anywhere. Thanks for watching.
Tell the people running their heads to show the table they made. Ha. I love it and I'm going to have one very soon made by ME. You should be proud of your work
Those folks don't bother me much...I do have pretty thick skin. I figured the folks the do shoot would understand that any movement was after the bullet left the barrel. I am real proud of this little table, it comes in handy.
Thanks Charles. It is an easy project, works well and folds up for portability. I'm not certain but I think it will fit in most trunks for those who don't have a truck.
Go for it, it is pretty easy to do, and if you have 1/2 sheet of plywood laying round you only need to buy the folding legs. Makes it a pretty cheap project.
If I read this correctly, you want the measurement from the front edge of the bench to the start of the shooter's cut in...the angle starts at 15 3/4" from the leading edge of the bench. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.
Thanks, it works great in a pinch, you know, when you are shooting somewhere where there isn't any sort of facility and you don't want to lay in the dirt...or just somewhere where there isn't a suitable bench. Super easy to construct and was pretty cheap too.
Okay you're the second person that advise putting a piece of wood on one side in order to get both legs to lay flat. If I do that, what I have to cut one of the other legs so it would not be as tall? Or is that just an optical illusion and I'm seeing? If you were to put a piece of 2x4 on one side wouldn't that raise up that side by 2 inches give or take
I would put the extra piece of wood at at the front, that way the table will have a slight rake being higher in the front than the rear. You only need about an inch and a half clearance for the legs to flod flat. There is no need to shorten the legs, let it have that slight rake...it is barely noticeable when you're shooting. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.
Thank you, and thanks for watching. I don't let them get to me, I just never understood why those who can't do, or have never done something find the need to find fault with the end result. Oh well, it works for me and that is why I built this off the top of my head. I really appreciate you watching.
@@Halfmilesniper your a good man, some people are just insecure & find joy in insulting others, I don't understand it either, best part is, you have a great table & use it to enjoy the best sport there is, nice shootin & have fun!!!👍👍👍
Looks great, you did a fine job on your portable shooting bench.
Thanks, I appreciate that. It works great when there isn't a bench available or you are out in the tulies.
That’s some nice artwork there! Good job!
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching, hope this one helps some build their own portable bench.
Looks great. Will build for my grandsons.
Great work and super practicle. Doesn't have to be complicate to be highly functional.
It is handy, practical and portable...works great when you don't feel like laying in the dirt. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.

@@Frostytravels this portable bench should be well suited for that kind of trip.
Thanks. I ask you to do one of these when I found your channel before looking to see you already did one. I think it's brilliant

Nicely done. All my questions were answered in the comments. Yes I checked first😁
Glad I could help! It really was an easy build, folds up and carries like a large suitcase but way lighter.
Great job !
Thanks Wayne, it has been pretty handy.
I built the same style of table 3 yrs ago, I used 3/4 inch sub floor material. It works great, I've taken it to Co. to prairie dog shoot.

Thanks for the video Be Safe and God Bless 👍👍
Thanks, you too! We'll see you later Frank.
If that table moves, its going ti move directly back and forward. Thats not an issue. I like the table. A lot. Good job!
Thank you Sir, I appreciate that...and i appreciate you watching.

And it works well as an impromptu workbench.
A great job thank you

Never thought about building a portable shooting table, but now I just might do it.

Beautiful bench wow ❤ what thickness is your plywood?
This was a standard piece of 3/4" plywood (actually 13/16" IIRC).
Great job.
Thanks! I even find myself using it when there is a table available, it works so well.
Nice job i like it
Thanks! It works great, especially when there isn't anything to shoot from. Cheap, portable and easy to build. Thanks for watching.
What is your cut-out measurement from top to angle part you didn't measure it on your video thank you

Glad to help
I like it. Thx.
It is a pretty handy portable bench, and so easy to make from scrape plywood. Thanks for watching.
Nice table
Thank you Scott. I appreciate you watching..
Interesting...... Good idea!
It is handy enough that this table is generally in my truck almost al the time...just in case. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.

A folding table/shooting bench. Cool. Better keep it away from Kentucky ballistics.
holy smkes...now that is freaking funny...thanks
There's always someone who complains. Where is their bench?
Exactly Gary, I think folks like that just live to complain. This bench works well and I have no qualms about using it. Thanks for watching!
