DIY Shooting bench.

This is a DIY build of a range firearm shooting bench for sighting in a scope or even just target practice. I apologize for not having better ends result photos. This was a Christmas gift and due to lack of time, transport and weather I did not have a chance to do any photos in the field. I do hope you enjoy the build. What is a good sitting distance from the table top sometimes the table top could be too high up or too low. Also sitting too low and comfortable either if you’re overweight like me.

I put my seat height at 18 inches. Which is pretty standard with most kitchen table chairs. The table either was around 34 inches. You can adjust this to suit your own needs. If you use a lead sled or other rifle holding devise you will want to allow enough room for it to sit on the section that comes back between the seats on the table top

Why would you use a level instead of measuring? The slab you are working on is most likely not flat nor level.
Those two little bits of wood on the edges of the top aren't likely to last long at all if this is out in the weather.

The level was just to get it close. Nothing like trying to shoot and sitting on a slant. That "slab" is flat and is fairly level. Those two little bits of wood on the edges are pressure treated just like rest of the material used in making the piece. Did you find anything about the build that you liked?
