Your mitered corner technique is brilliant. Love it. Someday I would like a demo of your cover stitch machine. I know what it does but I've never seen how one works. Merry Christmas & have a great time with your family.
Thank you for the tutorial. I have been wondering how to do the mitered corners when they are not the same depth. Your method is so easy. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant tip on the mitred angle! I did a couple intuitively recently, on a pattern that didn't require it, but this looks like it's going to be full-proof, so thank you!
Hi Whitney, I haven't seen that way to mitre before so giving that a go for sure 👍. Glad you are still well and didn't catch what your Son had....hope he has recovered too 💝😁😘
@@TomKatStitchery I would love to have a review on putting in a notched collar, putting in bound pockets, sewing lining in a vest and surging an edge in the round (starting & stopping the serging.) I found your lesson on the mitered corner was very clear and easy to follow.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I can’t wait to try it. I’ve only been following you for a short while and have already learned so much from you. I really appreciate it. Where in Missouri are you heading?
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the tips and tricks! We are heading to the Kansas City area, but my husband is from the northwest part of the state, I’m from the central part of the state and we have family in the southern part of the state!
I also live in Kansas City! In Leawood, KS actually. The first time I watched your vlog I thought you looked like my friend, Missy. Tell me you’re not related. That would be way too weird!
Joyce Hayhow 😂 no, no relatives named Missy. All our family are on the Missouri side in Liberty (my parents currently live on the Plaza) but we head to Leawood quite often for the shopping 😉.
I was just using a scrap piece of fabric to demonstrate the technique. However, I will have an actual mitered corner tutorial going up in a week and a half that I’m doing on a cotton boucle for a jacket vent.
V Higgins thank you! I made a Megan Nielsen Jarrah sweatshirt and a Megan Nielsen Axel skirt out of that fabric (not to be worn together!). I love both pieces and have been very pleased with how they’ve washed and worn!

I can definitely do a cover stitch tutorial at some point!
That’s a really easy way to do mittered corners. Going to remember that. 💕
Oh good!

My pleasure!
Fantastic, thank you so much! I feel as if you are my sewing teacher. 😁
Awww! That makes me happy! I love passing along all the tip and information that was passed along to me!

My pleasure and good luck!
Thank you for that great way of doing a mitered corner. Here’s another question. Can you show us how you do an invisible zipper?
Sure!
We get the same results, but your way is easier! Thanks so much. Hope your Son feels better.
Isn’t it amazing how many different ways there are to do a single sewing task 😂? My son is back to normal so thanks for asking!

I’m so glad I could show you a new way! Thankfully, we are all pretty healthy here for the time being. Thank you for asking!
Thanks Whitney, this will be handy. I didn't know how to do that. Thanks again.
My pleasure! I'm glad its a tip that will come in handy!
So useful! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the mitered corner lesson. I wish you would do more how-to's on different techniques.
That could be arranged! Any techniques in particular you’d like to see?

Eloise Gallo well this is fantastic! I will make a list of all of these and do some mini videos over some of these techniques!
This is soooooo good. Thank you! 😘
My pleasure!
Genius !
Great way to miter

That would have been quite the coincidence. Merry Christmas and safe travels.
I love your video and wondering what your making out of the fabric you did this mitered corner.

@@TomKatStitchery I have this exact fabric and still not sure what to make with it so wondering what you made. Your videos are great and inspiring
