Someone straight up dislocated my shoulder in the middle of a particularly heated game and made a point to apologize to me afterward. I got back in the pool but I was in rough shape and she knew it; I wasn't exactly happy in the moment lol but I appreciated her effort and it felt good to eventually leave the deck on good terms with everyone. Heard Joe T talk about the LT hit. Joe was laying up in his bed the following day and LT visited him in his hospital room. LT stuck his head in the room and said “Hey Joe”. Joe replied, “LT - you broke both bones in my lower leg”. LT looked at him, smiled and said, “I don’t do nothin’ half way baby” He spent the day with Joe. He legitimately didn’t mean to “break him” as he said. He didn’t want to end his career....it just happened.

I was captain of my hockey team in High School and remember a play where I was left wing in our zone. Stick was caught up in their right D's legs when I went to turn while we were clearing it. Dude said something like "wtf". I responded "you talking to me?" He didn't wanna respond so I assumed he was, then I said "My bad, my stick got caught up" while mid play. He sad "oh, ok". I looked down and his knee cap had knocked out place pretty badly. It was a bit grotesque. I won't lie I cried for the guy. I never wanted to injury a guy. I would try to lay it in when I could but I never was dirty. I never found out how the guy was doing after that.

An ambulance was called, and the other team forfeited the game being 3rd quarter and 13-0. Met the kid later in track season, he was healthy and all healed up, we competed in high jump.
