    When Colin left Kinda Funny so did I. I just wanted Greg and Colin to talk about games. I watched a few clips occasionally but haven't seen anything in years. I used to love Podcast Beyond. Greg, Colin, and the third guy... I can't remember his name. I think he left to work for Playstation, or something like that. They were really funny. I eventually just stopped following gaming news. Then one day I discovered Kinda Funny. I was happy to "catch up" with Colin and Greg. The next day Colin made the joke. I never watched again after what happened. I just thought it was kind of funny (see what I did there) that I re-discovered Colin and Greg right before.

I don't want to be rude though, I loved their chemistry on GOG and Nick is one of the funniest podcasters of all time with those first ~160 episodes but that's just me being nostalgic and I absolutely understand why they couldn't do that.

      @@lucasjames5187 While sure Greg could’ve been “kinder” regarding the outcome, this isn’t a sellout situation. It’s a business. They both left their jobs to create Kinda Funny, that was their main source of income. I don’t blame Greg thinking about those factors throughout the situation. He needed the job. Not to mention both Tim & Nick involved. If Greg goes down, the others goes down.
      I love both. I miss seeing them together, I really really do but it does suck seeing Greg handle it the way it was.

    • @lucasjames5187
      @lucasjames5187 9 месяцев назад +8

      Well see here's why I have a problem with the whole it's business and saving their image kind of argument. If that was the case, then why did they still bring a guy like adam sessler on their show just a couple months ago? Which adam sessler shown himself to be a shity person that said a lot worse things to people then what Colin joked about. Which wasn't bad at all. So I don't buy the whole image thing and what's Good for business. Because if that was the case, then they shouldn't have even brought adam sessler on the show. Truth is they shown that they were weak by bending the knee to small minoritie of thin skin people who were offended by Colin joke. So no. I don't care what your attentions are. What they did to Colin showed their true colors and how shity and hypocrites of people they are. Specially its hypocritical to say they don't want to associate themselves with colin for the joke he made. But yet again they're fine to be associate with adam sessler for things he siad. And also here's what I'll say to the it was good for business to let colin go. Apparently it wasn't good for business. Because that's one of the reasons why Greg is mad at Collin for maybe being some responsible for kinda funny having not blown up the way they would like it to. So actually it hurt kinda funny as company. And it ruined their reputation as people for letting colin go. Because people wanted to see kinda funny because of Colin and Greg. And no one else. So I could care less about Tim if he lost his job. He's part of the reason why this whole situation became a mass to begin with.

    It’s so funny because I started listening to Kinda Funny after Colin left. I enjoyed the content for what it was but then learned about Colin during the pandemic because Greg brought him up in the wake of George Floyd and the riots of that summer while he was on his soapbox of how Kinda Funny is a place for only “good people” and said that Colin made a bad joke on Twitter and so they removed him from the company. (Still a funny joke)
    So I looked up Colin because I was like damn I don’t really agree with a lot of what Greg and KF was putting out, and I would probably be more in line with Colin. So I found Last Stand Media and fast forward three years later and I support their Patreon and Colin is by far my favorite voice in the gaming space. I still listen to some of KFs pods but it’s definitely down below last stand. Nick is the only thing that keeps me coming back. I think he’s the only decent human being there. The rest are all total shills.

      Don’t believe he mentioned him by name, and I don’t have a link but it was a Kinda Funny podcast (formerly Gameovergreggy podcast) I may be getting two podcast episodes mixed up because there was one right after George Floyd in that summer and there was one like 6 months later and the title was something like “we need to talk” it’s a long listen and I believe it was actually right after Jan.6 2021. But Greg says something along the lines of “we used to have someone in the company that said horrible things online and so we removed that person from our company and out of our community.

      To be fair it was crazy for Greg to split shares with anyone when he was leaving IGN. Greg's fame was above all of them. He could have just owned everything himself and just hired people. And it would have been successful because Greg can host a show with a chair if he needed to.

Then I went and even listened to their old stuff and then got to the episode in GC and heard the fallout. then caught up to the later episodes. After looking into what truly happened I was devastated. Trust me the joke that was said is not as bad as some of the shit I have heard them say on their programing. Trust me, the things that have been spoken out of their mouths have been way way way worse. But it's aloud because it's Greg saying it or Nick or Andy or tim. The handling of anything trump related or BLM to me was very alienating. DO NOT ALIENATE A WHOLE AUDIENCE BECAUSE YOU FEEL YOUR SOADBOX IS BIGGER!!! I still really only listen to In Review and maybe a KFPC or GC if it strikes my fancy. I find them still funny, but there are a few who have been added that I really do not enjoy. Blessing, Roger, Barrett and Joey to me are the ones i just can never enjoy. Andy, Nick, Tim and Greg are funny when they can just ramble and have no agenda. Nick is still my favorite, the most genuine of the guys to me. Kevin is always a treat. His laugh can get me going and giggle as well. I love Colin and his stuff and hope he does well. Fast forward and I’ve stopped following both since the split. Tim gettys is annoying and most likely the reason KF went in the direction Colin didn’t want it to go. He’s younger and def apart of the TikTok hipster crowd. Stupid content is their style. Colin can be silly but also likes having content of substance. Nick is cool but Colin/greg prolly only included nick/tim since they knew more about video editing. Colin & Greg prolly could’ve done KF on their own or just paid them for their services.
