after watching almost 10 different tutorials showing different ways to do the grain texture, your videos have by far been the most useful. instantly bought the pack after i finished the video, thanks man
Me too. It was always there, but ffs the most important options are always the in the tiniest buttons, every time the same story with every software huhhhhhhhh
Thank you so much for your support! I think it takes time to get confortable with Illustrator, I think that's normal, so try to not be so hard on yourself. Keep practicing and you'll get there 👏👏👏
@@geremygallenero4300 really appreciate it, getting profficient at a skill is really up to how much patience you have with getting better at it. Keep practicing!
I get lost at minute 03.00 which is the fundamental moment!!!!! how do you go from drawing a line with pen tool to create the texture on that line?? !!!
Buen tutorial, queria preguntarte algo ¿Que Ipad es el que usas?, podrías guiarme por que estoy buscando uno para comprar pero hay una gran variedad y nose cual es el que funciona mejor Procreate, Saludos desde Chile
Hi, nice pack, but for information the back you used is not 100% RGB black so its works well in CMYK but in RGB the stroke with your brush will be lighter than the fill with the same color below! Hope its helps you improve your pack. Cheers
Thanks for pointing it out, I'll have to try and see - so if I create the brush with 100% black from default the shade of the color applied won't be affected, right?
@@CosminSerbanDesign I guess i should do the trick, for for example put your actual brushes ( the free ones) in a RGB document, do a square with 100% RGB black, then do a stroke with your brushes on it, the tint is greyish not black, then convert this same stroke with any regular illustrator brush and it will match the square's color. I'm not an Adobe technician i'm just a regular designer so it's only my opinion. I never had trouble with other grain brushes like the gigantic one for example but i found youres interesting so i tried to fix it. Again this is for the free pack brush, maybe on youre gumroad arcadian pack it's fixed.
@@shureoner really appreciate it, just checked and it's only on the free brush. Next time I'll look for that to be set correctly in the exercise files 👏 have a great day!

I'm glad I stumbled upon this first, rather than 10 videos later. Great stuff!
I know this was a tutorial on how to do a grain texture in illustrator, but I learned so much from your process
Draw inside. You can`t imagine how long I was searching for this hint. Thank you very very much.

Just tried your technique and it came out great! Gives texture to a gradient mesh mango I'm working on! Thank you!

Will do, I got a video on 3 ways to add texture in Illustrator coming soon! Thank you for watching!
Thank you very much
My pleasure Marlena!
I've been texturing like an idiot. Thank you SO MUCH!
No problem, this method is a bit easier in terms of not having textures spill over 🙏
@@CosminSerbanDesign I've been individually creating masks for each object manually instead of using Draw Inside and Draw Behind. 😭
@@the-good-chad so much easier this way haha

Awww that's great to hear! 🥳
Super cool. I wish I could see your layers file though (im always interested in seeing what layer files look like with illustrations like this)
Exercise files are in the description, you can download the vector files and have a look :)
Cosmin Serban im a bit weird, that part of the art is always amusing to me. Especially in Procreate. Love seeing the layers

How did you add those subtle shadow lines visible before you use the texture brush?
Those were duplicates of the shape above, with the color of the background applied and a 10% opacity setting, hope this helps :)
Do you use a desktop when you transfer to AI?
Thank for teaching

You add texture so easy. I just purchase noise spaceship brush pack today. It's great but i'm bad at using illustrator. T.T

I am one year late but this is very helpful !!! Great job and thanks :)
I get lost at minute 03.00 which is the fundamental moment!!!!!
how do you go from drawing a line with pen tool to create the texture on that line?? !!!
Draw a path, select an empty fill and a color for the outline, then click once on the brush and it will be applied, let me know if this works.
hi, why is my drawing option is not allowing me to pick drawing inside
Maybe try to right click and either ungroup or release the clipping mask to be able to draw inside, hope it helps 🙏
Thanks a lot! This is way better than install other brushes! +Sub! o/
Glad I could help!
