i have just spent hours crying over trying to get this to work via my college's technique. found your video, and this is incredibly effective, elegant, clean techniques. Thank you, so much. I really needed this.
You are a lifesaver! using effects in illustrator has been a pain for years for me and I never knew why my vector illustrations never looked as good as those from other professionals. Now I can finally achieve exactly what I want with my shading, thank you!
Learned something new! I am using Illustrator since Version 9.0 (before cs/cc) but felt like I had missed most of the cool innovations of the recent years. Very well explained and also nice to listen to you! Thanks :-)
This is really game changer due to illustrator work with vectors, also when using SCATTER brushes, they tend to use vectors to draw lines. Which increases the processing of your computer. Adding masks and layers it is a really smart solution to this problem
I like the last method, please do another in detail tutorial on that, just that alone and explain what doing every step mean, because it gets a little confusing. Thank you sir!
@@tt_tutorials please let me know which video exactly so I can understand better what is the purpose of each step. I just want to understand the reasoning and not just blindly follow :) thank you
Thank you so much for this video; it helped me a lot! I just have one question. Do you know why, when I drag the gradient sliders (after adding grain), my grain pixels grow in size and look terrible?
Hi there, thanks for the video, my grain texture seems to be really high resolution and quite fine.. I tried playing with the settings, but I can't seem to get the sizes of the grain to increase.. do you have any idea how I can increase their size?
I'm following your tutorials since you showed how you're applying textures and I'm so happy to have this video! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing with us. P.S. 3d way is astonishing! :D
Thanks for the video. If i follow all your guide and try to also adjust the gradient afterwards with the gradient tool, the gradient is going to be destroyed and looks like a very rough Bitmap. Nothing as yours. Any idea what could cause such a wrong effect?
@tt_tutrorials 2:28: when you click off the texture you're creating it looks less pixelated, and more rounded. Mind doesn't do that and stays pixelated, is there a fix for this?
Thanks for this tutorial. I see that you make a new layer of each object. Is it also possible to use the Apperence panel and in that use another fill what use can do the same?
@@tt_tutorials When you select an object and opens the appearance panel, you can add another fill in the same object. I was asking myself if I could use a second fill for the texture, instead of making a new layer and use it as a mask. Hope I made it clear?

Hi there, thanks for the video, my grain texture seems to be really high resolution and quite fine.. I tried playing with the settings, but I can't seem to get the sizes of the grain to increase.. do you have any idea how I can increase their size?
Great video. One problem. What size is your canvas because the size dictates the size of the granules in the grain effect.
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
Enjoy 😉 and stay tuned 😎
This is SUCH a great tutorial! Thank you!!

very good tutorial! thanks!

make copy, change color, mask mask, clip, rectangle, freeform gradient, 2 points (white and black), effect -> texture -> grain, select stipple
Thanks for this, tho masking produces jagged edges on the whole project. Can't seem to find any solution for this.
Thank you so much for this. Really great.
Thank you for watching! I appreciate ❤️❤️❤️
This is GREAT!!!
great tutorial thank you so much
Welcome, Salim! Stay tuned 😀
Thank you, I learned so much with your video :D
so mine is not BLACK and White.. its sort of RGB grain

Awesome. Thank you!
Thank you for this tutorial, but when i applied this on my Illustrator, why the grain looks so smooth? Thank you
Thank you! Awesome
You’re always welcome 🙏 thank you so much 😊
I love your tutors, but how can I export my illustration to instangram while maintaining the quality.
Save for web and optimize image. It will still loose quality a bit. Harsh reality
Excellent job!
Great! Thanks for sharing! 😊🧡
Really helpful ☺️
Thank you 🙏 enjoy applying this techniques 😉
I did... It gives A whole new level of perfection to the illustration

Well, I didn’t try it that way! It’s a good chance for you to take your time and experiment 🕵️♀️🧙♂️
Doesmt RIP software go bonkers on these files. I guess you need to rasterize this for print or is RIP software okay with this in vector format?
amazing tutorial my friend
Amazing video! Is there any way to get these effects done on Affinity Designer too?
Hi! I dunno
Brilliant, thank you 👍🏻
