I must say that was quite the interesting song choice and I strangely enjoyed it
I got so into the art because of the song choice hahaha
I'm a graphic design student, and I'm trying to make the transition from analog to digital illustration, and I must say you are now my favourite person in the world, this tutorial helped me more than my teachers did in over a year.
Your illustrations are fantastic, I absolutely love your work!
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial and for showing us your art.
trueeee!
Never forget analog, and do this with gouache or watercolor on paper !!!!!!!!! + you'll never need a screen to watch at your art !!!
; ))
the same here :D he inspires me a lot
perfect
Soooo true!
For those who can't find (and load) the "Airbrushes tool preset" in PS CC 2018:
(in PS) Window > Brushes
Click 'options' icon on top right corner of the panel > "Converted Legacy Tool Presets"
There you are the Airbrush-Grainy Opaque!
thanx a lot
Thank you so much! I was having problems trying to find it D:
I dont find this option!
Thank you :))
Marry me pls thanks
Isn’t it amazing how much a little texture and shading can bring an illustration to life?
Dan is really amazing at this!
Just when I thought it's already finished, he just keeps on adding details, and step-by-step, it looks better and better. :D
I look up to Dan so much! I am practicing every day and using a lot of his techniques to practice
You are by far the best teacher for soft soft . It's very complicated at first - overwhelming, actually - but, you make it doable for
'just steal them... nobody will know'... hahaha! I like that!
perfect
Love it! Hahaha
The fact that you did this in photoshop gave me hope. You know, i read master illustrators should do things like this is Adobe Illustrator. This gives me hope.
I'm so in love with your work! I'm a graphic design student and they always told us to digitize work in illustrator and to use photoshop for photomanipulation only. Damn it's incredible what you have taught me! Thank you so much for showing your ways!
It really depends on what your goal is. If you're doing a large sign with text, please use illustrator. Photoshop doesn't have spell-check, your file will be very large, and when sending over the PSD file to a printer, if you didn't convert the type to shape, there maybe an issue printing it when they don't have your font.
Sarahmari where did you studies? PLEASE I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I CAN START
start from youtube
SAMEEE which made me wonder HOW DO THEY DO THIS GRAINY FEEL IN ILLUSTRATOR LOL i never thought of trying it out using photoshop omg
Eye opening af! Bless this precious soul!
It's unbelievable that you find it so easy to work vectors in Photoshop! I'm impressed! Great illustration!
OMG the tutorials are amazing pleeeeeeeeaaase upload more. the comments also are very helpful it make sense and it look really easier to do. you have motivated me to draw, while i have a really bad drawing skills. But I am supposed to draw for my university course. thank yooooou soooo much and please keep uploading tutorials
Daniil Gartman I hope to see how to draw the basic things in easy ways. And if it's possible to work on Illustrator "Ai" so we can get inspired by the style you work on the other program
Daniil Gartman and thank you so much
Wow, tNice tutorials opened my eyes to the beauty of soft soft. Your tutorial is as clear as the layout of the program.
Fantastic! many, many thanks. Like others who have commented, I have worked in traditional media for many years and want to learn how to paint digitally. Beautiful art and brilliant lesson!
I've always wondered how illustrators accomplished those textures. I'm currently practicing in Photoshop and it's coming out great! Thank you very much for sharing your skills, it's deeply appreciated!

This is fantastic! I really love this style! I'm going to give this a go.
HERES HOW to brush only on a shape and not on the background! Create a layer above the layer with the shape you want to paint on. Right click on the new layer on top, and click create clipping mask. Now paint on this new layer it will only apply the brush on the layer below it. Actually you can see this (although he doesn't mention this) around at 2:51. Hope this helped.
Beautiful viduo, thank u, i'm new to digital art, your illustration with the earth colors is so cool :)
Love your work! And sooo thankful for the tutorial
